You snuck this one in under my radar and I missed it for 5 days. I had learned much of this during that time, but as always you included a bunch of stuff that was absolutely new to me. (The 1M markers when raising path will be a game changer for sure) ;)
Thanks! AFAIK you just place a transformer somewhere out of the way and then place distributors anywhere within the transformer's circle on the heatmap. You can then place rides anywhere within the circles of the distributors.
This was super helpful thank you! I’m finding it a bit of a pain to continue paths from pre existing ones (it keeps starting them in the wrong position) would be good if they had some sort of shortcut that snaps it to the end properly …
Ive seen a few websites saying the pathing is infuriating, this looks much improved from pc1 and pz, im interested to see when i play. Great video, and your content is top tier 👍🏻
Great and insightful video! Please do a Power & Generator tutorial! I'm getting kind of confused by them and would love some more guidance and tips and tricks on how they work and how to make them more effecient.

@ZSHplays please make a video with how to deal with this intersecting terrain issue i have wasted enuff time on it but i guess u will have a short and simple solution..
Very interested in the intro clip, how do you manage to connect the sea to your park? It looks so awesome and id love to build something like that too.
Just started messing around in the console edition... and boy are the controls different! I cant even figure out how to multi select pieces while editing a building. In Planco and zoo i would hold X and i would highlight the pieces i selected. Now its totally different. I dont get why they would change something that used to be so simple. 45 minutes in, still can't figure it out! Ugh smoothing is totally different. Everything just feels weird
@ 9:07 No matter what i try it keeps saying my guests can't "reach" shops and rides. Already thought it was weird but i just had to look up if i was doing something wrong. Came to your video but i did it exactly like how you did it. Already deleted the game and re-downloaded/re-installed the game, can anyone help?
@@ZSHplays Just read online there's more people experiencing the bug, so i hope they'll fix it soon. Thanks for the upload tho, made some cool designs already, hopefully they'll become functional soon.😅
i have a question. I see is possible color options for the path in the game planet coaster 2 but fort the planet coaster 1 color options for the path is available ? option color also for queues and exit?
Any chance of info on intersecting terrain error that stops you from placing paths? Doesnt matter what i try to do it wont place a path where i need it to go. Especially infuriating playing career mode on “just the thicket” level, top right hand side of the map, placing flat rides and trying to extend the paths to them.
I think paths are terrible on the console version. I get loads of janky edges and bugs which cut guests off when stamping a path next to a line-drawn path when the terrain isn’t totally flat. I wish there was an actual path brush like there is for trees/rocks. Pools need the same thing.
My path controls look nothing at all like this. There's not even 1/3 the number of options in it, no tabs, I can't find it anywhere. Hours of searching online hasn't yielded any results either. Feels like being gaslit about the wrong game.
@@ZSHplays yeah mostly the other way around I used it so much to make sure the paths in my buildings where perfectly aligned especially handy when creating staircases!

My pathing is attached to shops and toilets but no-one is using them. They're open, as there are vendors, but no-one is queueing. No clue what's wrong!
@ZSHplays it has to be a glitch. I got the food and drink working by placing it directly on the edge of a path or plaza. If I put a path to it, to resemble a queue, it doesn't work. However, tried that with toilets and no-one goes near them. It has to be a glitch. It's so weird!
HOW can they remove good stuff?? You cant remove the edge stone line anymore to make ”hidden” roads!!!!! ???? So anoying! And NO glass at all for walls and windows!!!!
Can we have handrails on one side of the path only?
Yes you can! Should have pointed that out, my bad!

Honestly can't wait for this to be in Planet Zoo 2 (in many years time), the paths will be just so much more refreshing and pleasant to use.
Indeed!
Thanks. I was quite overwhelmed, even after playing Planco 1 haha
Glad I could help!
Yay! So pleased you are doing Planet Coaster 2 guides and looking forward to more. Have a great launch day too!
Thanks! You too!
I'm completely new to PC2 never even played 1 so this has been so so helpful thank you so much.

@@ZSHplays You are a legend , Thank you
Frontier went above and beyond with this pathing tool. I hope they bring this over to JWE3 as well.
Great video!
Thanks Evo! Yeh JWE's paths are already much more fun than the Planet games but some of the finer controls in PC2 would definitely be good for JWE3
Great video! As someone new to this type of game. Tutorials like this are a life saver 👍🏻
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for your help! I cannot wait to start building my park.
Enjoy Sam!
Thank you for the Tutorial, can't wait to finally play as well!
Have fun!

Aw thank you! It is infuriating to begin with, as are all powerful systems, but it soon becomes easy and it is SO much better than the previous games

all yours videos are super fun to watch i don't like planet coaster. but you make it fun to watch.
Aw thanks!
Super useful!
Thank you!
Thank you for the video. Can you please tell me how to remove the railings once placed.. thank you
Turn them off in path extras and then use the path brush

It's one of the career maps, you can load it in sandbox and build on it

Not seen that error myself I'm afraid
I have one question all of my guess keep walking through my walls I don’t know how to stop that?? Do you know any possible way to fix that??
Make sure the path doesn't go through the wall 😁 No guest barriers at this point

Hopefully there will be a PZ2 one day!
It’s a complicated mess on PS5. How hard can it be to make pathing user friendly?
It's complicated, I wouldn't say it's a mess. I'm building better paths in this game after a week than I can after 3 years of Planet Zoo.
Can’t wait stupid question can you play it offline as my internet connection is playing up
I believe you only need a connection to play franchise mode but I’m not 100% sure, sorry

Planet Zoo 2 confirmed
😁
@ZSHplays I ment Zoo Tycoon
is grid selecting still a thing?
Not that I've seen

Are you playing Planet Coaster 1? 😆 Seriously though, I've not heard of anyone's path tools disappearing so not sure what to suggest, sorry
@@ZSHplays So uh...turns out this was it. I literally had no idea 2 just came out and wasn't paying attention to google results for path tools. xD
I NEED ALIGN TO GRID BACK!!!!!!!
I hadn't noticed it was missing! You mean aligning pieces to a path grid?

But how do you make stairs?
Use the U key to raise the path until it's steep enough to become stairs, happens automatically
Im jealous PZ doesnt have this yet 😂
I know it's new and exciting but I hope this game doesn't mean a lot less planet zoo city zoo videos
It will mean less in the short term I'm afraid, but I'm aiming to have a new episode out on Wednesday next week
@ZSHplays can't complain I mean you owe us nothing
I thought this was Lake Liberty part 2 :(
You'll have to wait for Saturday for that sorry 😁
Losing my mind with these paths... Played planco1 for years,
You'll be smashing them out soon, they're awesome, you just need to unlearn what you know
All fine, until you enter hilly terrain. It's still not a great system.
Such a fiddly mess compared to the first game.

Yea weird decision I hope they add it
