For your cattle pen corner, you can use the path rounding tool set to 0 and that reduces the curve to essentially 2 nodes. You then pull one of them to the corner and hey presto, 90 degree corner :)
You can do square edges on queue corners, just drag the 2nd node instead of the outermost node and merge it with the outermost node, it will turn the curve into an straight (but still angled) piece which you can then square it.
It's really terrific. If they let us toggle on/off curbs, then this will probably be the best pathing system in a creative sim game that I've ever used. You should definitely check out the free build mod for zoo though! it makes it extremely versatile. For example, you can edit terrain even when a path is placed down.
15:10 - This just reminded me of something I had on my wishlist form PC2 from like a year ago. I was hoping they'd keep PZ's enclosure wall building system for building fencing in PC2. Imagine how well that'd work for building both fences and structures' walls in PC2 when combined with these new pathing tools.
At 2:00 Once youve placed a Stamp with advanced move to generate a grid you can press "M" tho change to default move to fill in the Tiles without needing to exit the path Tool.
@RubleTrillions how on earth did you do the cattlestyle paths with the double curbs? I have an issue with people walk through walls, and im guessing if those paths have the curbsat hte side of each other they have to follow the path? and not just walk over the curbs? 17:48
@@ch0nkyn3rd I demonstrate how to do those in my preview video of the game from a few weeks back. I believe you choose line tool, curve and make sure snapping is on. Then you can traverse the path back and forth
You can also do smaller than 4 meter paths. Setup two stamp pieces 4 meter apart. Then you go in the multi select tool, select one, x to advanced move tool it with distance snap on, bring it in from .5m to 3.75m (.25m ends up with all curb no path). Then delete paths with square stamp aligning with either path. Then you are left with a smaller than 4 meter path. Doing this you can get that vinyl checker board style for a diner themed interior.
This was super useful and I learned a lot of new tricks. Thanks for the content! For future vids, can you turn off depth of field? The motion blur is distracting 😊
Please Help! You seem to be a guru on this and NO ONE ever mention how to make a crosswalk with no peps entering wandering the road and keep to the sidewalk. Tried lowered bins and benches but wont work. And is there a way for you to make them include the restuarant module in December update?
I think i know of a way to do it but it but its not perfect currently. You would have to make paths like I have here but make sure the road paths don't actually lead anywhere. you'd have hide the curbs out of view. The path finding system should then recognize the only viable path is the one that connects with the sidewalks. I haven't tried that so not sure if it will work.
but how did you make the cattle pen? whenever i try to do that with paths i get that they conflict with another path or that the terrain is intersecting or something

Great tutorial; I'm floored by those star stamp patterns.
No pun intended 😂.
Dude, this is amazingly invaluable. Fantastic work! I need to now go and redo ALL my paths. Thanks for this.

@@RubleTrillions you're welcome, it's just a little help considering what you are showing off 😀
Awsome showcase! Really cool stuff u can do with this new path system. as a PZ player im quite jealous :p

Really good! Sorry to ask but did you ever put out the drop tower from
The last vid? Would love to have it
Thanks.
Not yet! It needs some refining. the angles are really challenging at the top of the tower and some of the pieces are noticeably out of whack.
you can square off queue corners by collapsing one of the two nodes into the other using the edit tool.

@@tauceti8341 i believe that happens when you are using “classic path building” if you use the new one and have snap turned on, it should allow it
