This is great, I haven’t considered using my capital one savings account as sinking funds. I just started using them and have been happy with them so far!
It's great right? So easy to use and transfers are easy. I have Ally too, so it's easy to zelle money to yourself from each Account if need be.

@@MindYourMoney I was upgraded to the Venture card a few months ago. I really like that I can see how many miles I have after every purchase. That card I use for my Amazon, eating out for example bc I get more points for those.

Hi! With Capital One, yes they are separate savings accounts with their own account numbers.

Hi! If you're asking about mobile check deposits, I believe Capital One will allow mobile check deposits up to $10,000

A checking and savings account with Capital One you can transfer funds in real time. Fund are available right away.

No, not for the savings account. Only one card is issued for the checking account.

When you open up the accounts how long did it take you to get the debit card ?
The debit card comes with the checking account only, and it takes about 7-10 days to arrive in the mail.

I tied it when I took a picture of my ID they call a 1800 number for more information

You may be able to open one, but I don't think they have all of the same features as in U.S.A.
How do you transfer money from other bank into capital one savings account?
you can use Zelle or simply add the account routing and account number to your capital one settings.
Q; I just opened an account prior to seeing your video. I am confused with how I am supposed to access my new account via my debit card. I was looking to have a checking for Bills and one for Everyday use. However it gave me a brief notice after opening the account that I can go in and choose the default account online for the card. So does that me every time I need to use my card now I have prelog in and choose the alternate account when I need it. Truly makes no sense the way they wrote the statement.
The debit card is issued for one Checking account with Capital One. If you need to access money from a secondary checking account, you'll need to transfer the funds to your primary account (where the debit card is connected). I hope that helps.
@@MindYourMoney For the interest rate savings, does having money in multiple different savings account give you less interest/based on the individual account amount, or does it calculate it based on total money in all savings accounts/categories?
@@KaitWilliamson the interest accrues on each account individually. Right now (June 2022) the interest rate for Capital One checking accounts are 0.10%
For most savings accounts the APY is 1.00%
I just opened one but when I try to make multiple accounts it goes through the process and it accepts but when I say go to my account it only shows 1 still. Called customer service and they didn't help either ... kind of confused what I'm doing wrong.
Wow, that's interesting. You may have tried this already, however have you logged out and logged back into your Capital One online account to see if the accounts are showing up? Also, it's important to make sure to transfer at least $1 into the account once you open it.

What does “sinking fund” mean?
hi! The term refers to a short term savings for an expense that either doesn't happen regularly or only happens once a year. Most people have a "car sinking fund" to help with regular maintenance and repairs. Because they "sink away" almost as quickly as they are built up.

That's a great question. I've checked the website and it does say you need your social security number to apply. You can apply online or in a Capital One branch location.

Yes I do. Also if you want to draw money from your Capital One account, you can use any *Allpoint* ATM, they don't charge any fees. Most areas have Allpoint ATM's in CVS or Walgreens.
