I think fresh is better. But can is more consistently good. I’ve never had bad tasting can pineapples, but I’ve had fresh pineapple that lacked flavor.

So I lived in Nicaragua for a few months after graduating high school and my god their pineapple is so fresh and so naturally sweet. Like you cut it open and its almost pretty much pure white with a yellow tint to it. Ever since then pineapple in the states just does not compare
in theory you can still get pineapple from nicaragua, while living in the states.. its just gonna cost ya
