I just got my first boat. 17ft Cape Horn. With 115 Merc 4 stroke. I’ve spent 2 days cleaning and now I’m going through bilge. Going to replace live well and washdown pumps. Ready to hit the gulf. I’ve fished my entire life with family outta Mexico beach but your videos pushed me into getting my own rig. I’m excited thank you
You will absolutely love this boat. I have the 21ft version 2006 with a Yamaha 150 4 stroke. The boat rides better than some offshore 24ft boats I have been on. They are absolute tanks when cutting the waves. I have taken mine 40+ miles offshore with no problems. I am in love with mine. Just recently started watching your videos and really enjoy them. I do the same type of fishing here offshore Jax, FL. Dropping down big baits isn't always the best thing to do and you show why all the time on here. Tight lines!
Congratulations on your new purchase, that thing is sweet. Glad you got something that you can get out there little further in the big blue and get on some of the really biggen's out there. And the color is really nice also. Now you going to have to really get those videos rolling out so you can get that thing paid off 😁 can't wait to see what you get out there catch now. 🎣🎣🐟🐟🐋🐋🦈🦈
Was great to hear the backstory to your new boat, As I recently started learning all I can (primarily from you) before I start coming down from Vicksburg, I saw the change in boats and was hoping I would learn more about the change - now that I am binging over the holidays, now I know - cool. Ken
I can tell how excited you are and well deserved. I took delivery of my new 27' hybrid bay boat on 12/23 and I am still super excited. Keep the awesome videos coming.
From a former boat owner, I know how much work and money it takes to maintain. I had a cuddy cabin I used on a large lake with an inboard/outboard motor. I live in Virginia, so it had to be winterized every year. The upkeep from the trailer to the boat and the motor eventually got to much for me to afford. Lower unit work, replacing seals, trailer tires and bearings, not to mention fuel, my wallet took a hit year after year. I am glad to see you were able to upgrade. The Clearwater 24 is definitely sea worthy. I can’t wait to see the bigger fish come over the rail in the bigger boat. Congratulations! Keep the content coming. I bought some of your Bama Saltwater single and double drop pompano rigs earlier this year. Gonna use them down in NC in the Outer Banks next month. You make great videos and have great merchandise. Keep it up!
Thanks for your videos, really like your ending each time. Your knowledge is impressive. I’m planning to do some surf fishing on vacation in North Carolina in a few weeks. Haven’t fished much but your videos have me encouraged.
Awesome boat! I will miss the adventures out in the gulf with the Scout but now looking forward to a new chapter of adventures in the Clearwater. Keep the great videos coming.
Awesome boat. I just bought my first boat for my kids and they are loving it. Looking forward to some adventures in the gulf. Congrats again on the boat sir.
Congrats on the new boat! We are part time Gulf Shores residents off Ft Morgan Rd. and we are looking forward to buying a boat for us when I retire in the next year or two. I want a bay boat , but my wife wants a Tritoon, so I think we will probably get a Tritoon. We really enjoy the channel, Thanks!
Man I totally saw ya last week at J&M tackle. Told my son that looks like the bama saltwater guy from UA-cam but I didn’t recognize your new boat. Congratulations. Wish I had come over and asked.
Sweet boat. You may have already figured it out by now but the little mother boards go bad on the power poles all the time. Quick change out. May or may not be your problem there are a few steps you can figure it out. Call power pole they will send another most likely for free. Hope that works for you. Keep up the great work and enjoy the beautiful new boat you got there.
Sweet Clearwater! And yes those low hour outboards can be more problematic than a well used one-but you've everything figured out. Get used to it so we can watch you, and you with your mom catching some nice fish!
congrats ,on the new boat. love the color,i see alot of open water fishing in the future. maybe some longer runs out to some deeper oil rigs. awsome addition to the channel
Congrats on the new ride, I was wondering the other day when I was watching a recent vid and you were on the new boat, thinking, wait, he had a different boat before, but make sense with a larger family to get a bigger boat, so kudos and good luck.
Nice new boat! I think you`re just emotionally attached to the old skiff because of all the good times you had (and provided to us) in it that it`s a bit hard to see it go, but that new boat is definitely an upgrade, may the Lord continue to bless you and keep you protected so we get to have you content for a long rime to come! after loading it a few times and find that "sweet spot" as you mentioned, it`ll be easy as pie! another great video man.
That’s funny I was gonna buy the same scout you had which is why I started watching your channel but I didn’t end up buying it and went with a Grady white glad to see you bought a boat around the same time I did
I enjoy watching all your videos! I spend a lot of time at the gulf, mostly around Fort Morgan, but if you ever need some company riding out with you on that sweet looking boat, I'm there, just contact me!!!
That is a nice boat. I’d be lost trying to boat fish .I would figure it out if I had the $ to play. Ha. Enjoy. You earned it. I like your endings. Might come charter with you. Never done one. Have a good day.

Trick for cooking a "hard head"...Get a pine board and nail the hard head to it, set the board on fire, as soon as fish is cooked...eat the board😉
Haha
