@arpeggio1358 It's not a DVD, unfortunately. It was the Italian TV broadcast of the La Scala production of "Contes". Ramey played all four villains, and he was magnificent, especially as Lindorf and Miracle.

Beautiful! This is one of Ramey's greatest roles! I wonder if his Tales from The Met will ever become available. It would be a great addition to the library!
I don't think it was ever recorded for video. I did get to hear him live as the Four Villains in Los Angeles. His gleeful, gloating as Antonia was singing herself to death was a wonder to behold. Also, I've always wished that the Rinaldo he did at the Met with Marilyn Horne had been recorded. It was Ramey's Met debut, and he was, by all accounts, spectacular. I do have an audio recording of that Rinaldo.
