That mosque was built on the ruins of a Ram temple, which was also mentioned in the notes of many early British travellers. Invaders destroyed Indian heritage, we are now rebuilding it.

Secularism is a two-way street. This temple is as important for Hindus and Sikhs as much as Bethelem for Christians, Makkah for Muslims, and Temple Mount for Jews.
You didn't mention that the temple was built using crowdfunding and not with the taxpayer's money. The outskirts and airport have been developed with tax payer's money. In India, religious tourism is a big deal. So, it will definitely boost tourism in this area.
Just think logically here that in the whole video, Muslims were referred to as minorities. But what about Buddhists, Sikhs, Jains, Parsis, Jews, and Christians who are a bigger minority in the country? Do they have any issues? The Ram Temple is equally important for Sikhs, just to speak of minority interest here.

'Religious tourism is a big deal here' isn't a sufficient reason to promote religious dogma, 500 yr old sentiment/grudge, and or a disguised political agenda. Religious pride and sentimentality IS the problem. It distracts from other humanely crucial predicaments like 20% of the country being below poverty line(BPL), criminal behaviour is still rampant unchecked and/or overlooked by the government in other cases, corruption is still affecting hard working and deserved individuals from getting their rightful seat for jobs. Unless the holy temple is providing food and shelter for these for atleast half of those BPL, that amount of money spent on religious sentimentality and pride is silly!
Our country has more than enough naturally beautiful landscapes for the 'tourism' excuse. From white himalayan mountains, blue water seas around Andaman and nicobar islands. The country is potent and blessed with tropical crops, fruits and vegetables being in the tropical region, half the country being surrounded by the mighty ocean. If not that, people definitely come for our vibrant blend of culture and our delicious food!
Think logically, all an enemy of our nation has to do is destroy religious temples to break our spirits since our 'pride' is so attached to a construction. Culture, rooted in religious dogma makes the society so fragile that the unity depends on a common mythological entity rather than being human itself. No wonder, we were invaded as many times as we were. Our history is proof that 'religious sentimentality and religious pride' arising dogma has worked in our disadvantage. It is so hypocritical that display of emotional quotient is ridiculed and such ego-based mindset is the pattern. No one is denying how historical importance, spirititual significance of what Lord ram represents for Hindus or for anyone, for that matter, as the perfect masculine. What should be highlighted is the historical injustice faced by a particular community for long time, which allowed for some one to use and grow, . BJP use that space to grow and gain. reporting should emphasize the resolution of the 500-year-old dispute through legal means and acceptance. Mr Modi have done nothing individually. It was whole BJP team over the years ran a campaign and asked legal justice. The BJP is allowing him to use it politically.

With that said, a hospital/school or a temple don't have to be exclusive. Building a temple doesn't mean that a hospital or a school cannot be built as well.
Infact, with the development this mandir will bring, the chances are high that a world class health facility and/or a school would also have to be built around the area soon to support the expansion and development.

@Enncorp temples should be built by the people not with government funds. I was saying government could have used those funds to build a public hospital. Most hospitals are private and charge alot. Temples should be the money of the worshippers who want to build. If government is spending money on temples then they should allot money for churches and Gurudwaras and Mosques

1528 CE -The original Hindu Ram temple was destroyed and Babri mosque build over it by Turkic Moghul ruler Babur
1885- Hindus filed a civil suit with British court in India for reclaiming the original temole land and giving it back to Hindus for building temple.
1991- Babri Mosque was brought down by some fringe elements.
2019- After 134 years of filing the civil case from 1885, Supreme court of India finally delivered unanimous judgement on the 1885 case and temple land was given back to Hindus for building Hindu temple.
2024 - New temple build at the location 500 years after it was destroyed by Babur.

This temple is built on the birthplace of God Ram after the order of India's apex Court based on scientific survey done by Interfaith scientists in observation of Judges of different religions.
The so called Mosque was built by destroying the Tample at that vary site.

For those who don't know the full story, the mosque structure that was torn down was actually built on the original structure of an ancient temple 496 years ago by Muslim kings. But they did not build the mosque from scratch. They destroyed the top and exterior of the ancient Hindu temple and converted it into a mosque-like structure. After a long legal battle, after proper study by a large archaeological team, all the remains of the temple were found beneath the mosque structure, including the idols of Hindu gods deep in the ground. After a complete archaeological study and other evidence, the Supreme Court of India ruled in favor of the Hindu temple. So this temple is being restored after almost 500 years!! These Muslims did the same with all the towns they conquered, the prime example is The Dome of the Rock. they also converted Christian churches into mosques, for example. Look what happened to Haghia Sophia, in Istanbul, the great Byzantine basilica, the equivalent of St. Peter for the Orthodox Church, was converted into a mosque by the

There are 150+ Christians countries with cross in their flags and 50+ Muslim countries with their symbols. India is one of 3 countries (Nepal & Mauritius are small in size) where Hindu are a majority. Hindu should be able to live in their own country the way they want. small clarification: Muslims only have 3 holy sites in the entire world. The grand mosque in Mecca, the prophets mosque in Madina, and the Al Aqsa in Jersulem. All other sites might be valuable for architectural or cultural significance but not religious significance. So the Babri Mosque being torn down (while sad for the loss of architectural style) is not some religious offense to muslims.

Forget to add the fact that it was confirmed by ASI( Archaeological Survey of India) that there sufficient evidence indicating a large temple once stood there. In fact some the of destroyed pillars of the temples were used to make the mosque. Don't believe me go to google there is a big wikipedia page only about this "Archaeology of Ayodhya" and many other sources.

Supreme Court clearly stated based on the evidence the structure below the mosque is a terra-cotta Jain or Buddhst structure at best not a hindu temple. It is intact proving it was not demolished to build a mosque on top of it by whoever built it. The archeological survey also proves said the Supreme Court that there was gap of 4 centuries between the last pre-existing structure and the construction. of Babri Masjid. Lastly no material or pillar of the pre-existing structure was used to build the mosque. Sunni Wakf Board simply took back its claim in 2019 and agreed to a settlement despite this evidence just because thats the best way to peace. Supreme Court judgement just reads out the terms of settlement where Muslims were given another plot of land. Even the Shankaracharya repeats this truth in his interview to Karan Thappar. Check it out, its all over social media.
