Thanks Jenny - just goes to show doesn’t it - we all have these parts of our personalities that we often only see bits of in others - it’s only those we live with that really see us (well… maybe not even then for some…) but that’s defo the case now with Bex and I - but thank you - that’s very kind of you to say all those things! I know I do - there’s no doubt in my mind about that, she’s my absolute world. I get something from it everyday, to be honest. We talk a lot. Are you saying the fear of not being able to give up is what’s stopping you trying? Have I read that right? I can understand that. I feel like that sometimes even now - the thing is, I was even more scared of what not giving up meant. I decided to give up at the end of October and spent November and December working through what it was going to mean. How I was going to cope without it in my life, how I was going to deal with things without drink - what habits I needed to change (stupid things like routes home or how/where I shopped) - coming up with different things to do - like Bex said in the video, I have become more interested (obsessed, perhaps…) with things like my clothes, my organisation, how I look etc… but I needed to do all that prep to give myself a fighting chance - because - I knew how woven into the fabric of my every waking hour it was that I had to unpick all that, I had to unthread it from so many aspects of my life - and that took a lot of work. But it was - and IS - worth it.
This is absolutely fabulous. Thank you both for being so honest and open. Awesome effort by you and your family. What a support network. Being there for one another is absolutely key. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and prosperous and healthy 2024 🙌🏻 thank you for all your efforts throughout 2023 🚴♀️

Havent had a drink on about 5 years. One of the best things i did was to give that up. Much happier now i face challenges head on.
That’s a key factor isn’t it - booze is the sand I used to bury my head in for sure… good for you - I could t agree more!!
