    Anyone criticizing the Polish health service probably hasn't used the English one, for example. I worked in the UK as a caregiver, more than once we reported problems with patients we visited. I witnessed a situation when we sent an elderly 60-year-old gentleman who suffered from multiple sclerosis to the hospital. After 3 days in the hospital, the catheter he had inserted was not being dressed, old urine with a 3-day patch had done its job.... A powerful stench and slickness of the wound, on top of that they gave him a "remote control" so he could call a nurse while he could only move his head.... In Poland, one would be held accountable in court for such negligence!!!

      They took great care of me in a Polish hospital. Nurses came and checked patients regularly, even throughout the night. My doctors all spoke English and were very knowledgeable and caring. We were also fed well. I would recommend Polish health care to anyone. I'm sorry that the patient was treated so badly in the UK. Thanks for sharing.

    In the story about the kidnapping of children there was no black Warsaw, but there was a Soviet black Volga.
    It should be added that the museum was evacuated during this year's flood. People from all over Poland came in tow trucks to save the car collection. The museum is located between two rivers that were flooding. One flows about a kilometer and the other about 3 kilometers from the museum. The owner was shocked that so many people volunteered to help for free and how quickly the vehicles were transported to safe places. Fortunately, the water did not reach the museum. But as a precaution, the vehicles were transported.

      English National Motor Museum in Beaulieu is also excellent. Best in Europe really (that I have seen). Certainly better than the Polish one. The Polish museum certainly puts a lot of emphasis on Polish cars (as it should be) but they are all post WW2. Beaulieu has an excellent collection of the REALLY old stuff from all over Europe.

    These small Italian Fiats, like the red one on display in front of the museum, were also very popular in Poland in the 60s. I remember, I was a few years old then, and one of the strongest memories is the streets and roads in Poland where these cars dominated. At first I had trouble telling the front from the back:) and I remember to this day that I really liked these mistakes. They were so mysterious:)

    Hi there 👋! Very cool. Big fan here ✋. Cool to see you back. Curiosity (off-topic) question: How is access to pain and cold medicine in Poland compared to the U.S.? Are Advil and other common American-sold pain relievers available in Poland?

    • @TravelAddictGuy
      @TravelAddictGuy  13 днів тому +1

      They have pharmacies all over major cities. ADVIL is a brand name, so they might have something equivalent. The drugs are much cheaper here, too.

    • @dominik36127
      @dominik36127 13 днів тому +3

      Advil is just a brand name for a standard ibuprofen based painkiller. In Poland we have a few of those under different brands like "Ibuprom" or Ibum"." You can buy ibuprofen based painkillers everywhere in the world. Just today I bought a "Ibuprom zatoki" which is an exact equivalent of Advil Cold & Sinus, I paid 50zl for a packet of 20 so roughly 12.40$ which i believe is roughly the exact amount that you would pay for this in US.
      I would not be at all surprised if it would turn out both US Advil and Polish Ibuprom are produced by exactly the same company and just branded differently in different countries.
      In general we have all the stuff you have in US :) It may differ slightly in various ways depending on the country but I really do not think that there is some class of products you guys have and we do not. (Unless we do not want it so there is no demand and thus no supply of course).
