Game Description:

The game's story is inspired by the 1980s sci-fi movie Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, where the player character is an American high school student who is zapped by a mad scientist and miniaturized. Players must survive in this terrifying wilderness and figure out why they are there and how to get back to normal size.
Grounded was developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Xbox Game Studios and released on September 27, 2022. Some reviewers describe it as a zany, challenging, and memorable adventure that benefits from Obsidian's humor and RPG style. Others say it's a cute and fun-looking game, but that it feels like a long grind.
Grounded is a survival-adventure game where players are shrunk to the size of an ant and must survive in a backyard filled with giant insects. The game can be played in first-person or third-person perspective, either solo or with up to three friends online. Players must search for resources, craft weapons, build shelters, and battle realistic insects while also trying to stay hydrated and fed. Players can repurpose almost anything they find, such as using grass stems to build walls or pebbles to dislodge dew drops for a drink. - Ігри
I've only been playing about 2 weeks since I "discovered" this gem of a game. ALL other games are on permanent hold.😂 I love this game.
I set up a pretty basic little house at the Mysterious Machine, atop the big rock since day one. I've built a high palisade wall around the device, with spike strips outside. So far it has withheld two red ant and one mosquito attack.
I built a small temporary base at the research station in the sandbox, and when the black ants attacked, they did so there; which amounted to nothing.
I am going to start expanding my house and use mushroom, clay and pebblets for a stronger structure.
Thanks for the tips.
That’s a similar experience to what I had when I first found out about the game. It’s amazing. I refused to that leave starter area by the machine for a little while. The spiders terrified me 😂
Then I got into the full swing of things and realized with a little bit of parry skill that no matter how big the bug was, that this parry skill was going to save me in combat.
Then I started building and realized the variety I of building pieces was great . And that the more I played the more I wanted to play again and again lol. The more I did = the stronger I got.
P.S. I am glad to hear that I could help you out.
RPG elements + Survival truly makes for a great game, or at least Grounded does it well lol.
I feel asleep watching this last night and built the best basses in my dreams lol great vid haha
I read @“I fell asleep watching this” on my notifications and I was like damn. I really am boring. But then just now opened up the app to see the full message and got a got laugh out of it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and I hope those bases were magical 😂😂
@@ChaosBearGamingyeah ofc! I’m glad you read the whole thing and found it funny, I had a thought for a sec thinking I hope this doesn’t come off as mean 😂
@@ColeIma oh no, I don’t think things personal lol 😂 it was a great comment and I appreciated it and got a good laugh. So thank you 😀
The camera trick is huge, I remember you mentioning that before on a previous video.
Yeah it’s the biggest building tip for sure. It fixes most building issues.
You can build chest under half floors if you’re crouching and looking at it from the side.
Oh, what!! 😮 I didn’t know that. That’s awesome. Really good call out. Thank you for sharing that.
Let me know if I missed any big tips that you would share with the rest of the community.

Hey there! Addition to tip 1 (I'm still there, so idk if you will talk about it, but highly unlikely): You can press "Change Axis" and you will swap to another building type, where you can't rotate the item, but you are able to elevate them up or down. So if you had placed your half-shelfes/floors and you want to build chests underneath, try swapping to this building mode and press the button to elevate them items down (should be R2 on console, not sure, but you will see what I meant ingame)
@@WingedRonin I did not talk about rotating the axis option, I forget it’s there half the time. But that’s a really good call out. I knew what you meant as soon as you said it, but realizing its potential as a tip completely went over my head. Thanks for sharing that and pointing it out. I really appreciate that.
