Thank you for helping me out on my decision for my future resinprinter.Cant wait for youre Saturn4 ultra 16k review... I was not expecting you when i was looking for my train but it just adds more sympathy to you. Thank you and i hope you got your flight in time!
I use the resin pump on both of my M3 Max printers and plan to use it on my M7 Max when it arrives. Makes life simpler and I haven't had any issues with their operation.
G'day Ross me boy...Once again a really good Honest review, some reviewers parrot the same things which is boring. I want more than specs i can read on a website, you sir go right in head first and balls deep on the history and progression on any brand, and is my #1 first vid i watch on new resin printers. Cheers on being the Ducks Nuts on resin printing From A M8 Downunder🙃
I max out the print volume on my M3 Max pretty regularly. The resin pump has been a print saver for me. When my prints are regularly18-26 hours long I don't have to babysit my printer. i can let it run over night while I sleep. I run it when I am out doing errands. My Mono X has run out a few times. Looking forward to replacing my troublesome M3 Max with the M7 Max
Can happily say I'm one of the first 500! (also used your code) Mine should be arriving in 3-4 days, and I'm so stoked to see this positive review. I'm still not 100% clear on whether this printer can safely use PFA release film though? Their support team said no. Although if the quality in this video is all using ACF, then I don't think I'm overly concerned when it comes to my use case.
The peel force is too high for PFA film so that's why the support team suggest ACF to get better film life. Elagoo nailed this problem with tilting vat tank design for their ultra series, this mechanism reduces peel forces and so it works well with PFA film.
If iam looking for a great printer but not as big as this one, which one would you recommend? Saturn 4 ultra? Whats a equivalent to the saturn from anycubic? Thnx for helping! 🤝
Great to see a positive review for Anycubic. Let's hope they listen to your review & push forward further, building on this success. I'm loving the lootstudio print mate 👍. I'm finally tempted to sign up with them. I just wish they'd do a subscription for folk who only want to print larger models though. If I do subscribe, rest assured I will use your link mate 😊👍
I bought this printer and was worried I may have made a mistake but this is incredibly reassuring. I actually got this printer for statues and cosplay parts to work in tandem with my mono 6ks for larger prints and honestly makes me feel like I made the right decision on this being my "large" model printer with the 6ks being the smaller model printer. Now just to figure out what that acronym you used half way through the last video is.
ACF? It;s the type of release film... Hope you enjoy this. the quality is not totally on par, but with enough image blur, you'll soften any layer lines. I really did enjoy working with this. it's simple and no-nonsense for me.
I just bought one of these. I really hope it treats me well. never had one this big and yes that what she said. I used your link and code I hope it helps you out. $729 for this monster is an easy decision
Hey! I love the reviews and all the information! I was wondering if this printer has the quality comparison to my older anycubic printer in your opinion? Photon Mono X 6k. I would be printing small, medium and large minis, and possibly quite a few at a time. What do you think? Thank you!
if you are talking about GK3 Ultra. It's a dumpster fire. People are getting broken printers with a lot of problems. Shipment is being delayed by months, and when you get it, you will wait another few months for replacement parts because it will probably come broken.
@@88RunnerBlade Damn that sucks. Next machine I'm looking at will be the S4U 16K. It's got everything I want from the GK3 and my current S4U print quality has been flawless - the autoleveling actually worked fine despite what Fauxhammer doesn't like about it.
The M7 Max is a VERY good printer so is the GK3, but the price is very different. The M7 Max if if you want to print toys, the GK3 Ultra is if you want to print Art.
Im looking to upgrade my workbench and M7 Max seems to be a sweet spot. Nicely integrated heater, Hinge lid, WiFi connection, cloud printing, app, automatic detection system and even the resin pump (as long as it works and doesn't leave a mess who am I to hate on taking refilling off my shoulders), and the sheer size of this giant. But I currently have Photon 6Ks and it's print quality is great for starters but if I'm to upgrade I don't want it to be downgrade in pixel size as big as 14microns. It's "only" 14 microns, but it's 43% increase.
yeah, i hear you. it really depends a lot on what you print. The lightsource here is also sharper which is great, and you can antialias ity down. For like busts and stuff, this is awesome, for minis. yep youc an get better. Saturn 4 Ultra comes out tomorrow!
They dynamic layer lift is game changer. ACF and lower resolution is actually better for the large printers. For massive prints, more than likely no one is going to print under the standard .05mm layer heights unless they wanted to wait for days. And to get a higher resolution on this size of a screen would increase the cost significantly. Also with the massive surface area, the nFep will require a much slower lift speed to safely release and the suction forces are significantly larger with the increased surface area and large prints.
I’m not sure if you know. But it’s often easier to stick an old support in the corner, cure it and then just pull the Whole sheet out. Saves emptying the vat if anything.
I have an Anycubic Photon M3 Premium and really liked it right up unitl 12K scrren went out. I know that the screens are consumables and since the printer was about a year old I thought that I would og to Anycubic's sight and order a new screen, Wrong!. Out of stock! Sent email to Anycubic support and was told the were not any more screens, the printer was too old. I did find a chat that said the 12 K screen is available from Elegoo for their Saturn except that the glass is slightly smaller in size. I did order one, installed with some spaces printed on a FDM printer and am now printing again. Replacing the screen is like needing to take the engine out of your car to change the oil. So for my Anycubic printers print well, but support is poor.
Jesus! Yeah, exactly what I meat at the end of this video. The mentioned M3 Premium wasn't even on the market a year and the parts dried up as soon as that id. And that printer was incredible! Marketed so poorly! hardly anyone did a review on it and They offered it to me if I bought the printer off them. AS I was committed to the channel Id did, and I'm glad I did!
This is one of the things I don't understand with 12K chineese printers. I get that different LCD could have different transparency and quality, but why they are not sold with same connectors or at least with option to buy adapters and some SW updates to most 12k printers? Even if Elegoo did it only for their printers and Anycubic for their it would be super great. LCDs are consumables, but are not treated as consumables. Elegoo even sells different LCDs for S3 and S4, even though these look identical and have identical parameters - these are still different LCDs according to them.
@@OldSkullSoldier I asked them can u swap screens as they haven't had a spare Saturn 3 screen available for ages and they said no. They are still selling the printer with no available replacement screen.
I think there is an issue with this printer as the heated vat switches off once its pre heated as this is from one of my prints as its in the garage, at the start of the print it was pre heat to 25c, by layer 5 it was 23.8c and when it finished it was at 15c.
That port hole configuration sure looks very similar to a standard PAPR (or at least 3M's style) respirator hose connector.. Somewhat standard-ish industrial/medical ventilation system, utilized in all sorts of clean-room environments, manufacturing, etc.. Would make sense to me as a good choice to utilize for print farms, where you'd utilize a centralized system instead of an individual one for each machine. Typically they have a flange with a couple of detent balls or tabs that twist into those recesses in that bore, connected to a flexible hose (similar to a shop (wet/dry) vacuum).
Just received mine. Only had smaller printers before. Man it's a pain to deal with a vat and a build plate of this size. Besides that, it's seems to be great so far
Yeah. I said in my recent summary these are typically more unwieldy… and I’ve been told I’m just shilling 10” printers. As though that comment even makes sense!
Do you think this would be a good starter resin printer? Gotten pretty comfy in FDM but looking to get that better result for miniatures and I think I might have to go resin.
Ok Ross, can you answer the most difficult question for me? Will my wife leave me if I buy yet another resin 3d printer? I'm already getting a large format FDM printer in the next months but she's ok with that because I make and sell some products on them. Maybe if I can come up with a couple of things that "NEED" to be printed on it. Hmmm.... Nice video mate. Cheers!
@@FauxHammer uh oh. Does that mean the gk3 review is gonna be late or does that mean it's underwhelming? With the dumpster fire that has been the gk3 ultra I'm actually more than concerned
Great! Another FauxHammer review!! Seeing such a beast on top of a bench, I was wondering what's the fate of all the printers you receive from manufacturers, do you keep them all?
He mentioned in the video they go into storage... which seems very odd to just have storage sheds or rooms full of old printers that were used a few times, then sit and rot till they are outdated. Seems like donating them, or selling them, or hell even throwing them away makes more sense. Unless he's planning for a 3d printer museum someday 😂😂
Just waiting on Anycubic to put all the pieces together in one machine... I'm still working with my M3 Premium, and just bought a Reflex RS. I'd love to pick up a large format printer eventually.
If I'm printing medium to small figures, would you recommend I get one of Anycubics other printers instead of this one? Do you still like the Hey Gears printer better than this overall?
Need to get a large printer, debating if i should wait and see if Elegoo releases a large one, heard some hints from them, hope it has a larger rez screen.
While I'm not super enthused about resin pumps, I will say: The amount of resin likely to be stuck in the pump isn't worth worrying about for cross contamination. All these resins cure at the same wavelength, and my experience has been that you can leave more of your last resin behind than you'd expect before it makes any meaningful difference on the color, physical properties, or optimal print settings for your new resin. In a vat of that size, I can't see there being any issue even switching from wildly different resins, like a flexible or casting resin to a quick-cure resin.
It really depends. For most people yes this is true. But for those where compress contaminants are a problem. It’s important to highlight Dark colour followed by whites or clears. Or food/medical grade material after a non specialist grade.
@@FauxHammer I hadn't thought about food grade, admittedly, though I've had no issues printing white or clear resin with a little bit of dark grey left in the vat. Though I guess I could be underestimating just how much resin can get left over in that pump.
@@FauxHammer While true, would someone printing food grade be that careless. Usually food grade machines are dedicated to just that. I think they should be optional (as far as included price) as long as they don't cost an arm and a leg extra. I paid $60 for mine to add to the M7, not too bad. As an older guy with some health issues that pump is very helpful.
Whilst I agree that a heater that sits inside the printer should be optional... I actually think that when the solution is a heated vat then this should be provided as standard. I have my heating solution all set up in the cupboard my printer lives in. I don't want to pay for another heater that is just a lump sat in a box. A heated vat however is better solution than an external heater (I will happily acknowledge that now), and to be done conveniently it really needs to be integrated in to the vat. I know you can vat bands and brew belts and that people love them, but personally I hate the hassle if you have to remove them and can't be bothered with it. So if heated vat is the route a printer has gone, that vat should just be supplied with the printer as you are paying for something better than you have and something you actually need if you want to use that particular heating solution (you can't just use your old heated vat - if you have one). If the heated vat and dynamic lift height make it to their next medium sized printer, then I'm absolutely getting that.
@@Dark0Storm yeah same here in Colorado printing in my garage, below freezing outside every single day, the printer warms up nicely, but it gets to below 17c in like an hour, so half of my prints just fail on it Returning it and buying 2 m5spros instead because their heater works wonders
Guess another question for this printer, does Anycubic require you to buy extra screens for the vat, or can you change it yourself like some of other resin printers like say Elegoo resin printer vats?
i don't have this printer yet, but i get the need to have a vacuum pump. i even made a makeshift one using esuns vacuum pump, just so i can minimize the need for scrapping the fep films. unless i have a bulk quantity to replace it with.
@FauxHammer, thank you so much for another great video! I'm still new to 3D printing and primarily look to print 1/4 scale statues. I have an UNIFORMATION GKTWO, but some figure parts and most base parts are tough to print on that size build plate. I quite literally have to cut the STLs to pieces. Would you recommend something like the Anycubic Mono M7 Max to compliment my GKTWO, or should I look for an FDM printer?
I run almost exclusively Castable resins.....I would give my left arm for a decent heater solution. The add ons I've tried are at best ok, and seem to die very fast.
Has anyone had issues printing with this printer? I have 2 of them, releveled it over 5 times and increased bottom layers and exposure to get prints to stick to the build plate with no luck, thinking about returning it.
I have 2 ANYCUBIC Photon Mono M5’s(Not the M5S). What kinda upgrade would this be for me? And would you recommend something else? My partner and I are openning our old miniature shop and would love some advice on whether I can use my current 2 printers or if I should Upgrade
Well, it; sbigger but lower resolution. So unless you are printing big things. Stick with 10" printers Gk2/3 Saturn 4, Mono M7. I'd check teh reviews of thsoe and see what you think is best for your use case.
@ sweet! My partner and I are setting up a mystery miniature shop where customers buy a theme and we print and send out high quality miniatures of that theme. I’ll check out those other printers and see what I can find!
Must admit, my resin pump on my M3 Max has been a godsend for large prints and I have had no issues in 12 months, Would love to be able to justify the cost of the M7 max.
Surprised to see ACF. My biggest gripe with ACF is not detail loss but the pisspoor quality control. I operate a dozen printers, mostly S3U’s on ACF and the longevity of ACF is all over the place. I’ve had films last multiple months with constant printing. And I’ve had films fail on the first print. PFA meanwhile lasts a long time and is consistent.
I have been looking at upgrading my photon mono 2 and have been debating between this, the m7, the Heygears Reflex RS. I print mostly small models as a D&D DM. But terrain and bigger minis would be nice. I also like the Anycubic Eco or Bio resin. Do you have a recommendation for me?
As someone looking to get into printing and painting my own statues, not so much minis, how would you rate this? The build size seems amazing. The only other contender I’m considering is the reflex rs, mainly to avoid the headache of supports using their slicer. However it is a much smaller printer for comparison. I’m unsure if you’ve done many statues, but did you ever run in to issues with a smaller printer? Honestly with anycubic new pressure stuff, the rs is loosing its advantage in my eyes
Hello I really appreciate your reviews. I am a dentist wanting to get into 3d printing for models and splints. If I chose a “dental” printer I will be paying thousands. What 3d resin printer would be best for me. I am looking for something under $800 , uses WiFi and iPhone apps, of course gives me great detail. I hear Anycubic, Elegoo mars 4 max. Your advice would be welcomed. Thanks Bob N.
Help me Obi-Ross-Kenobi, you're my only hope. M7 vs GK(?) Gk2 looks great, obviously smaller and risk of not being supported, GK3 ultra/Pro look a bit underwhelming. I'm lost! 😅
Thanks mate, No cameras in this one, but Anycubic do have a Camera add-on for resin prinetrs which may be compatible. in fact, i should probably order one for future testing!
You can get away with something smaller than this. a 10" printer will do the job, but likely require multiple prints for one model, which isn;t always a gurentee on this one anyway. Smaller higher resolution printers will also offer smoother and sharper results. so it depetnds on how detailed your statues are. youc an smooth prints out on these, but you may loose some detail. It is a bit more likely that these details are imprecieveable on statue scale models. Maybe try something like SaSaturn 4 or M7 if this is your first printer, unless you already know you wnat that extra size.
I have the M3 premium and M3 max. I like the pressure sensing and I print both larger models and batch print minis. Is the m7 max worth the upgrade. I'm worried about the resolution but wondering if swapping out the fep, heated vat and better light source would negate most of that.
I don't think the M5S Pro is quite as bad as the somewhat scathing review Ross gave would imply. I got a refurb one for $180 all-in on eBay a month ago, albeit it did have the mask LCD conk out after a week and require installing a new one. Warranty replacement support (through their eBay contact) was straightforward, and those 14k screens retail alone for nearly as much as I paid for the whole machine. Since then it's performed handily printing some OPR titan models.
It's as simple as I shoed in the video. you just need to hold it flat and tighten it slowly by doing quarter turns in alternating corners and you;re golden
Rather different machines. Revo gives you higher quality prints but the way the ancillary features are integrated, aren’t the best. The max is for people who are after a larger printer. Better features, integrated better. but the prints are noticeably lower quality.
Impressed , the screen resolution puts me off for what I want a larger printer for and having to rip a brand new acf film off straight away as well isn’t a sellling point I like . Great look at what’s going to be coming in 2025 and if elegoo insist to keep using that useless build plate that’s on the sat 4 then I might jump ship
@@mateuszwwex5127Yep, just requested a refund for my GK3 Ultra which is yet to arrive. Terrible communication from Uniformation and have seen multiple reports of printers arriving broken.
The GK3 Ultra seems to be a better printer - at least when it comes to print quality.... but the fact that Uniformation have failed to provide their customers with a steady supply of working machines (and the long pre-order wait) then I can see why people might pick the M7 Max instead. This is another reason why I am skeptical about the Gk3 and GK3 Pro. Uniformation haven't even gotten their shit together with the Ultra and they already release new machines....
Just before anyone buys this printer, there are issues with prints peeling away from the middle of the build plate. i bought 2 of these, 1 works fine but the other one fails every time.
Hi FauxHammer, thanks for the amazing information so far. Have been / still am bingeing your content. So I'm looking to get into 3d printing. I'm not entirely sure on what I want to create yet but I need a hobby and I can see a lot of creative and utility use out of these. Resin seems the way to go for me as well. But my question is this. If I had a budget of 2000, and in descending order of importance Resolution, reliability, size, ease of maintenance, time, and resolution is the one thing Im not willing to compromise on, what model of printer would you recommend? I like to dive straight into the deepest end of the pool as I despise and hate buying intro models just to find quickly it doesnt meet my needs and have to waste money buying another and another.
Woah, well when you say resolution, unfortunately that is not so easy to define. You can have higher "resolution" printers now which perform worse than their competitors, but this is genuinely mostly a hairline margin now. So lets say Print Accuracy instead. With that in mind, and considering your budget you may be open to more expensive resins too, I would 100% go with an Ultracraft RS. Or if you feel you want more engineering applications like using their more advanced materials like Transparent or Casing resins, The Reflex. These are out of the box, the most accurate printers. The next one up from this is probably a FormLabs form 4, But the jury is out as to whether or not this is more accurate. Below those two, you ae looking at dialling in resins yourself no matter what you choose. So resolution wise, Anything which is 10" that is 12k and up will be indistinguishable from the next thing. (with exception of the Anycubic M5 series, which aren't so good.) But this then depends on other factors. The Resin, The Release Film, your ability to dial it in. So if you are considering printers that level. you really need to look at them all to decide on teh features you want persoinally. Luckily I just released a video summarising all the best printers earlier this week which should give you an overview of the positives and negatives of them all
@@FauxHammer Thanks man. Yeah I saw that video and that gave me a good and narrowed scope to dig into. Both the RS and Reflex caught my eye. Aside from general 'for the fun of it' prints part of my career is engineering so I can see it being used for lots of other applications. High tensile strength would be a must in some and high impact strength in others. Man if they ever come out with a desktop version of metal sintering printers that don't require a shop floor I'd definitely be in the market. So ultimately having said all that, I guess if I offered to buy you any printer that didnt require a wall to be knocked out to bring it into the home, say of all the printers you reviewed, what would be your go-to? Im assuming still either the RS or reflex.
If they can keep the price down from the Jupiter SE from Elegoo then I may purchase this instead. I have a bit of biased with Elegoo due to other products but the performance is nice for the price. So it is a tie for me atm until I can afford it.
After being semi disappointed buying the M5S off pre-order this video was some much needed reassurance. I don't see them selling PFA release film yet, are you getting the PFA from somewhere else? If so where?
You can get it online from third parties get the sizes from the page on anycubic website where they sell the release films for al bringers It’s at the bottom of that page
I’ve been on the edge of buying a Uniformation GK3 full setup for a ABS like production parts machine as I liked the whole system and thought it was the most professional well made large format resin printer in the desktop consumer level. Then this comes along, I know you have reviewed the GK3 as well, so which would you recommend for a print farm machine that makes production parts for auto industry. Will be using ABS like resin, most likely elegoo ABS 3 pro or Monocure Tensile
Since I’m looking to open up a production facility myself. I’d but the cheapest most reliable machine.. Unfortunately we won’t know the reliability of either machine until the end of the generation as I said. Now historically, Anycubic have been poor and Uniformation have been good. But my first impressions of both machine have shown me an opposing side of both brands… The jury is still out on this one I’m afraid. Flip a coin is the best advice I can give.
Just to make sure I understand, does the heater stay on/keep warning through the *entire* print? I've heard reports that it no longer heats once the print starts, not something that'll work for me in a 45-50 farenheit garage.
Honestly, I really like the Phrozen one. It;s very large. The Wash & Cure max is awful. So just anything big! I;d get a couple of large pickle jars as pre-wash.
I think the 7k lcd and standard lead screw is a reflection of the price, would be nice if they did an upgrade kit and 'prremium' version with said changes
Get a Grow tent put your printers wash n cure in there and vent the tent outside or if you have a balcony put outside. I have 2 resin printers and a wash and a cure station and have room to sort prints but bit tight. Mine lives out on the patio so no fumes in side. My grow tent is 1.8 m long on its side and about a metre square. But you could get a couple of small ones if your tight on room. Mine is a MARS Hydro
They don't sell it themselves, you need to get the dimensions on here and buy it somewhere else that sells sheets this size or bigger uk.anycubic.com/products/fep-film
I had such a bad experience with the photon mono 2 and the Kobra 2 max I figured I’d just as soon be done with ANYCUBIC. But is this really better the elegoo, Phrozen or HeyGears in terms off being able to just make prints happen?
@@FauxHammer I won both of my hey gears, I just don't like the walled garden type of system, i bought the heated vat for the rs and got told if i replace the vat myself instead of getting there $100 2pc vat i would not be able to use the heated vat. heygears just feels like a printer you buy but feels like you are renting it because its very limited or renting an apartment you cant do much compared to owning your house you can do anything with it.

How would you rate this against the GK3? Would love to get a large scale printer to do Statues
if you are talking about GK3 Ultra.
I’m still going to wait for your full review of gk pro
Resin pumps are very useful when your print fails and is mandatory to clean the VAT (or film) with the printer UV light
I’m not sure if you know. But it’s often easier to stick an old support in the corner, cure it and then just pull the Whole sheet out.
Saves emptying the vat if anything.
@@FauxHammer Oh yes, I know, I mean, Its very useful if you don't have an old support or anything else to pull the whole sheet out. 😝
@@Carlos-vc8fb I use a piece of printer paper cut in strips and use them in vat so can still pull out easily.
@@IamBlackdragon Nice trick, thanks!
They are still selling the printer with no available replacement screen.
best reviews I've found bar none
Cheers!
Any chance that you could do a video of how you install a new FEP on the M7 Max.
I wouldn’t change it unless I one day needed to. But it should be much different to any other!
Awesome review. Glad to see Anycubic offering better products, even if they still insist on including ACF film.
Now, I can't wait for your GK3 review!
Thanks. And I’ll apologise in advance.
@@FauxHammer uh oh. Does that mean the gk3 review is gonna be late or does that mean it's underwhelming? With the dumpster fire that has been the gk3 ultra I'm actually more than concerned
You are correct this printer is absolutely amazing, I love mine already and its fast lol
Oh, I'm surprised! I've only used elegoo printers. This one caught my eye.
Wiat for Elagoo Jupiter Ultra
@@alfredanil Yes, I really want to see
I own 2 Anycubic M3 max and absolutely love them. So this must be one hell of an upgrade. Awesome review Ross…
My M3 max was a nightmare.
"For once we have a half decent pour spout". Bro... The Saturn 4 Ultra vat has DUAL incredible pour spouts.
For once from Anycubic… though I’d still argue the Elegoo ones are in the wrong corner for right handed people. But I suppose this one is too
The resin tastes delicious out of the S4U spouts, too!
Pumps just add more mechanical losses, more mess and cleaning. But hay each to there own.
It really depends. For most people yes this is true. But for those where compress contaminants are a problem. It’s important to highlight
Dark colour followed by whites or clears.
@ the more people are experimenting with different materials in their homes. The less I want to take chances in making suggestions.
Keep in mind that the heater only preheats the printer, it does not stay on while it is printing
@@epikmiata that's.... less than optimal (for those of us printing in sheds i nthe UK winter :-D )
@@Dark0Storm yeah same here in Colorado printing in my garage, below freezing outside every single day, the printer warms up nicely, but it gets to below 17c in like an hour, so half of my prints just fail on it
Returning it and buying 2 m5spros instead because their heater works wonders
why do you poor the resin on the base instead of just into the vat?
It looks better on film, more dynamic. Also ti check how far it splashes
But mainly the first one
Guess another question for this printer, does Anycubic require you to buy extra screens for the vat, or can you change it yourself like some of other resin printers like say Elegoo resin printer vats?
I bought the m3 plus and that thing is an amazing machine only some of the new 12k machines beat it on pixel density.
Which prints is best for jewellery detailed design, there are so many to get confuse,
i don't have this printer yet, but i get the need to have a vacuum pump. i even made a makeshift one using esuns vacuum pump, just so i can minimize the need for scrapping the fep films. unless i have a bulk quantity to replace it with.
great video !
How hard is it to change the screen on this printer?
Always enjoy Your honest reviews. Will you be reviewing the new creality K2 with multi colour?
Just an update, your discount is 20$ not 25$ anymore
That’s incredibly bad news 😂 I have to cancel now
Worth an upgrade if you have the M3 Max?
Do you think the resin pump is a viable feature if I don’t plan on changing resin all that much?
How fast is it i hope its not as slow as the photon m3 max
Has anyone had issues printing with this printer? I have 2 of them, releveled it over 5 times and increased bottom layers and exposure to get prints to stick to the build plate with no luck, thinking about returning it.
I have 2 ANYCUBIC Photon Mono M5’s(Not the M5S). What kinda upgrade would this be for me? And would you recommend something else?
My partner and I are openning our old miniature shop and would love some advice on whether I can use my current 2 printers or if I should
Upgrade
Well, it; sbigger but lower resolution. So unless you are printing big things. Stick with 10" printers
Gk2/3 Saturn 4, Mono M7. I'd check teh reviews of thsoe and see what you think is best for your use case.
@ sweet! My partner and I are setting up a mystery miniature shop where customers buy a theme and we print and send out high quality miniatures of that theme. I’ll check out those other printers and see what I can find!
@ also I love ANYCUBIC products and resin. The M7 vs the M7 Pro which would you recommend?
Must admit, my resin pump on my M3 Max has been a godsend for large prints and I have had no issues in 12 months, Would love to be able to justify the cost of the M7 max.
Darn… well that’s 1 person I’ve found so far lol….
Would you recommend this one or the GK 3? I looked it up and the printers with Wash and Cure cost almost the same, but I don't know which one to pick
This is a bigger printer
Thanks Bob N.
is it faster than the M3 Max? I am seriously looking for an upgrade for my business.
i like the extra resin from the elego jupiter :)
Help me Obi-Ross-Kenobi, you're my only hope. M7 vs GK(?) Gk2 looks great, obviously smaller and risk of not being supported, GK3 ultra/Pro look a bit underwhelming. I'm lost! 😅
i might end up ordering this one from your link mate thanks a lot only one question does it have any cameras Future?
Thanks mate, No cameras in this one, but Anycubic do have a Camera add-on for resin prinetrs which may be compatible.
in fact, i should probably order one for future testing!
Ah, I just looked at it, only compatible with m3 plus according to the website,
Im trying to get into 3d printing whats the best printer to get to start printing statues?
You can get away with something smaller than this. a 10" printer will do the job, but likely require multiple prints for one model, which isn;t always a gurentee on this one anyway.
Smaller higher resolution printers will also offer smoother and sharper results. so it depetnds on how detailed your statues are. youc an smooth prints out on these, but you may loose some detail. It is a bit more likely that these details are imprecieveable on statue scale models.
Maybe try something like SaSaturn 4 or M7 if this is your first printer, unless you already know you wnat that extra size.
@FauxHammer thanks man
I have the M3 premium and M3 max. I like the pressure sensing and I print both larger models and batch print minis.
Is the m7 max worth the upgrade. I'm worried about the resolution but wondering if swapping out the fep, heated vat and better light source would negate most of that.
I wish would have watched your channel before I bought a M5 pro.
Since then it's performed handily printing some OPR titan models.
how hard is it to level the photon mono m7 max mainly since i am thinking of getting anycubic resin printer
It's as simple as I shoed in the video.
you just need to hold it flat and tighten it slowly by doing quarter turns in alternating corners and you;re golden
Anycubic Mono M7 Max or Phrozen Sonic Mighty Revo 14K ? Which one should I buy ? Please guide me in the right direction
Would you recommend this over the uniformation gk3 ultra?
Just before anyone buys this printer, there are issues with prints peeling away from the middle of the build plate. i bought 2 of these, 1 works fine but the other one fails every time.
got the same issue. seems to be a higher than average number of people getting high spacing between release film and lcd screen :(
Hi FauxHammer, thanks for the amazing information so far.
Your round hole looks like it’s made for a vacuum cleaner hose. Check your Hoover out
If they can keep the price down from the Jupiter SE from Elegoo then I may purchase this instead. I have a bit of biased with Elegoo due to other products but the performance is nice for the price. So it is a tie for me atm until I can afford it.
Hey Ross . Great video mate . Id like to ask is this printer good for 1/4 and 1/6 scale figures or the 7k screen aint worthvit?
After being semi disappointed buying the M5S off pre-order this video was some much needed reassurance. I don't see them selling PFA release film yet, are you getting the PFA from somewhere else? If so where?
You can get it online from third parties get the sizes from the page on anycubic website where they sell the release films for al bringers
It’s at the bottom of that page
is there a wash and cure station big enough for this printer?
Yes, The wash and cure 3 plus. And the Max but I wouldn't get that one
Does the drip hanging solution allow to hang in full scale prints like a cube of 298x164x300mm?
But my first impressions of both machine have shown me an opposing side of both brands…
The jury is still out on this one I’m afraid.
Flip a coin is the best advice I can give.
@ My brain says GK3 but my wallet says Anycubic… thanks
This printer or a GKtwo?
Great video! thank you🥰
1 question... I have an M3 Max and created my own heated vat... is it actually worth the update?
Unless you need “sharper” prints, and your heater works for you. Probably not.
Just to make sure I understand, does the heater stay on/keep warning through the *entire* print? I've heard reports that it no longer heats once the print starts, not something that'll work for me in a 45-50 farenheit garage.
That's true. The feature only works as pre-heating. I think they can easily fix this with firmware update tho
What do you recommend for wash and cure for this?
Honestly, I really like the Phrozen one. It;s very large.
The Wash & Cure max is awful. So just anything big! I;d get a couple of large pickle jars as pre-wash.
I used and auto resin pump once. And promptly threw the whole mess in the garbage.
I think the 7k lcd and standard lead screw is a reflection of the price, would be nice if they did an upgrade kit and 'prremium' version with said changes
No camera either
I do wish i could get into resin 3d printing. But being an apartment dweller with cats its just not possible. Maybe one day ill have a garage.
Where can we get M7 Max FEP film? I cant find it on anycubic page.
They don't sell it themselves, you need to get the dimensions on here and buy it somewhere else that sells sheets this size or bigger
uk.anycubic.com/products/fep-film
I had such a bad experience with the photon mono 2 and the Kobra 2 max I figured I’d just as soon be done with ANYCUBIC. But is this really better the elegoo, Phrozen or HeyGears in terms off being able to just make prints happen?
I’m looking for a printer for Lego people, I’d the faces to be detailed, is this printer capable for the size of model? Or should I look elsewhere
M 7max or GK3 Ultra? Besides price, thanks for advise I can't decide
Is there an stl or step file for that hose holes at the back?

Where do you buy your pfa film from?
Have both hey gears, switching to this.
