+AmericanCoinHunting Lol! I was checking out another Falcon he had but not shown on video. Considered making an offer on it myself. I love hearing these stories. I wish everyone would post them here instead of just telling me in a PM. We all like the hear this kind of thing. Thanks for watching and sharing your story.
It’s so much nicer to watch a video like this narrated by an older gentleman who knows what he’s looking at. The younger guys make so many silly guesses, wrong descriptions, skipping the good stuff and playing crappy music. It kinda makes me anxious to watch them. This video was actually relaxing. Sad to see so much old iron turning into worm dirt but I guess we can’t save em all. Thanks for a good video!👍
Thank you. We are still learning and trying to improve our videos. Your awesome comment keeps up motivated to do more. You are right. Can't save them all but better than sending them to the crusher. There is always some parts that can be saved to revive another.
There was some cars there that I had when I was a teenager that I wish I still had today it'll be nice to be able to purchase one of them and go through it
+magicwands1 I'm with you. I want a lot of those cars and even more car parts. Gotta go back and shoot more video. Missed showing so much due to lack of time. Thank you for watching.
I had a 66 Nova SS. 327-350 hp with a 4 speed. I want it back, lol. I saw this 67 and had to grab it. Had started buying parts for the Nova years before I found it. 53-54 Mercs are awesome. We are a little behind on videos. July was exceptionally hot and the Rust Queen fell and broke her elbow and foot. I have been playing nurse for the last 3 weeks. Hope to get on the cars again. Have another surprise the viewers haven't seen yet. Guess it's an addiction. Thank you for the sub, ringing the bell and your comment. We really appreciate it, Joe.
Another fun video. In my younger days I spent many hours in junkyards looking for parts and just enjoying the old cars. Sometimes I would find some factory go fast goodies. I got into several private yards which were great. Sadly all the old good yards are gone now. On the old Ford Y-blocks if memory serves me right the 292 had the exhaust crossover in front of the engine and the 272 didn't. I think the one you showed in the early part of the video was a 272. That little Chevy II wagon you showed would make a sweet little drag car. I always liked wagons because they were easy to get the weight transfer right. I look forward to your next video and hope your machine shop bill is not thru the ceiling..
+Jerry Polk You are right! I forget about the 272 Y block engine. I had a 312 in my 57 Ford. Can't find old Y blocks anymore. Even the later FE series is getting scarce. Like the Chevy II wagon. Remember Gene Fulton's wagon? Won a lot of races in that car. Thanks for the info and for leaving a comment.
+indyme2 You are right about the FE series engines they are getting scarce..The mighty 427 is really hard to find. Remember the cammer? 427 SOHC? When I was a poor teenager I had a local racer offer me one for $800 the problem was I was a pump jockey and didn't have the money. Think what it would be worth now. I sold a 390 GT engine for $300. Oh well hind sight is always 20/20. You used the term "Three on a Tree" in your video, I wonder how many younger viewers even know what it means.
We plan to go back soon. Mr. Sanders passed away but his son probably took over the business. An old truck video would be cool. I usually overlook the trucks as I have limited time. Thanks for the input.
do you think you could tell me where that location of that junk yard was because I have an old car for my first car and I love the Ford trucks and cars I wish I knew or more junk yards were like that if you could I'd really like it if you could tell me where that yard was
This yard is in Elko, SC. It's on Hwy. 78. You can't miss it. All info is in the description above or comments below. Good luck on your Fords and thanks for watching.
I'm gonna be exactly like that guy pretty soon. I've already got plans to buy a huge property somewhere and save old vehicles from the crusher. I collect antiques too, and I've been trying to get a 70s motorhome to restore.
this looks like my place i have 20 acres of cars and trucks try to keep them from 79 on back most are chevy and fords a lot of pu i haul cars for scrap but keep the good project rigs the rusted one's i part out and scrap them just got a 54 ford pu really good body on it no rust or dings but the flat bed is rotted still has a running flat head motor in it
You are my kind of guy, Jeff. Wish I had 20 acres of old cars. Sounds like you have a good plan and a good business. Thanks for watching and leaving us a comment.
I live in south Carolina and my 14 year old son is wanting to build his own first car I would love to take him here and maybe pick something up for him if I could get some more information for Danny so we can go check it out thanks for the great trip and video.
I am not sure of the status there since MB passed away. I assume Danny will continue on. What kind of car are you looking for? I will keep an eye out for one. So happy to hear your son is interested in doing a project with you. Cheers to you both!
Not sure, Bryan. Mr. Sanders passed away and I assume his son Donnie took over or sold out. Try looking up Donnie Sanders in Elko, SC. You may find a phone number to call. Good luck!
Only place to buy a car is out of a dry climate or indoor storage. Unless you just need some parts. Damp wet ground cars can have frame rot, lower fenders like chicken wire.
2 door cars are getting hard to find and when you find one, you pay dearly. Working on the deuce now. Got the linkage for the 4 speed change over worked out and finishing the plumbing on the front disc brake conversion. Engine build is next as most of the parts have arrived.
I'm glad you know the cars, I've watched a few of these junkyard tours lately, and the guys didn't even know the makes, let alone, the years. That purple Falcon in the beginning was a '62. Never liked the grille on those.
Thanks, Dave. Wish I had time to see the rest and to interview Mr. Sanders. He has passed but hopefully his legacy remains. We appreciate you watching.
The white 67 Nova is mine, Dawn. Just put up an update video on it. Not for sale but thanks for asking. It's a sweet car. Appreciate you watching this video.
The truck at 12:30 I also currently own one of them here in the UK and am currently awaiting my 1950s dump truck and 1956 Oldsmobile Super 88 to arrive to the UK
60 acres of classic cars and not a dime to spend. Lol. This yard is in South Carolina. Everything is for sale. Contact me for information or call M.B. Sanders in Elko, SC. Howdy back. Few people have ever heard of Elko. I stumbled up on it myself during my travels. Saw the cars, marked it on a map and finally went back 20 years later to discover all the cars and more. Thanks for watching.
7:21 is 64 Newport 8:07 is 62 Bird 10:35 is 60 Comet 11:00 is 56 Dodge 16:20 it is 64 Comet 18:20 is 67 Comet, not 65 - they have very similar front end and it's easy to mix them 24:05 - 61 Bird 24:35 - 62 Buick, think I see 4 vent holes on the side so it is probably Electra 25:40 - 54 Ford Customline
MB Sanders passed away. Not sure if his son took it over or not. Call Cecil Vickers or Tim Hudson shown in two of my other junk yard videos. Phone numbers are shown in both videos. Cecil may be your best bet for the older parts. His video is the red Pontiac convert thumbnail. Hope you find what you are looking for.
I think they hauled the old cars along the road away when MB died. Not sure where they went. People tell me Danny is still around and into drag racing big time. It's worth a call for sure. He probably still has the big junk yard down the road. Please let me know what shakes if you contact him.
@@indyme2 judging by how many cars are in the big junkyard, they will probably be there for awhile. I hope Danny’s is still open. A junkyard that you might have interest in is Webster’s Garage in McColl SC. It is 60 acres of cars, mostly from the late 60s and early 70s. Some 1950s stuff. It is on New Bridge Road in McColl and worth a visit if you are in the area.
@@oldcarzrule2527 Awesome! I was getting ready to do another junkyard crawl locally but the one you mentioned has my attention. Thanks for the info. I will check it out.
Websters garage is probably different than other junkyards you have seen. If it arrived, it is in the yard. Everything from street sweepers to landfill bulldozers were there. Not many cars were worth saving as many have been sitting 20+ years in the woods with no doors or engine. The organization of the yard is a sight to see in itself, there is none. Stacks of 1960s cars 4 high next to three Coca-Cola trucks. It is worth a video if you are in the area!
Great video new subscriber also love to probably be able to purchase something and put it on the rotisserie, the Studabaker 2 door you was looking @ was a Commander
oh yeah dude for sure , it would be a while those car looks rough but could save some @ a reasonable price. I could up load some vids I would love to show you
Really? I didn't pay much attention to it but I remember it being complete. Will have to take another look at it if I can get in there since MB passed away. Sharp eye!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for this amazing Video from germany :) I really really hope the yard already exists... because too often yards goes lost with all the importand, amazing cars & parts when the original owner passes away... :( Sad about Mr.Sanders passed away. Is his son still in business??? I'm restoring a 67 Chevy Caprice 4 Door Hardtop with my 70 years old father. And i'm looking for parts and when i could choose i like to buy parts from an yard like this to help to safe it. The bad thing for me is, that i can't go to the yards by myself because it's too far away from Bavaria, germany😅 I really wish i life at USA. My love for vintage car junk yards is really big. And at germany you couldn't find places like this, and also no US classic cars at junk yards if there would yards exist. When I have the luck in future to visit the USA, you could be sure you could find me at yards like this 😂 Is there a chance to get parts from you???? ☺ Have a great time! Cheers Till
Still plenty of junk yards around here, Till. I doubt many ship parts to Germany though. Sorry. Come to the states. You will have no problem getting everything you need for your car. Don't give up. Restore it!
His son runs the auto shop next door. I'm guessing he is still there. I heard the cars along side of the road are gone but they were probably sent to the yard a few miles down the road, now owned by his son. Thanks for watching.
Not sure George. Maybe the salt sends them to the crusher early. Glad to have these down here. They are all over the place. Gotta do some more junkyard videos soon. Thanks for watching.
Mr. Sanders has passed away, Brandon. The cars along the road are now gone. Still cars in the junkyard based on what I see from Google Earth. This is in Elko, SC. His son Donnie? is still in the area, I hear. You may try contacting him. He has an auto shop there. Don't have a number for him. The town has about 10 people, lol. Asking around should get you to the right guy. Thanks for stopping in.
I did a little research and from what their Facebook page says they do in fact buy and sell cars so it's a slight possibility that one of the Studebakers you showed in the video maybe for sale which is what I'm after
Personally I am looking around for a 1971 or 1972 Ford LTD with a 390 in it, or perhaps a 1971 to 1974 Maverick AND (not with) a 351 Windsor small block to stuff in it!! Further I would be interested in a 1976 to 1978 Ford Granada as well, or any station wagons from roughly 1964 to 1975 that is pretty much ANY MAKE AND MODEL as long as it is "large as life", though you would REALLY peak my interest in 1965 to 1975 (or even a 1976) Chevy Station Wagon or a Ford Country Squire Wagon as well, but like I say I would even entertain owning an old Mopar (Dodge Plymouth or Chrysler) or Rambler or even anything from Buick, Oldsmobile or Pontiac as well IF IT WAS A STATION WAGON!!! Heck even the Chevy II or Falcon station wagons had what I would consider a "cool factor" as well too!!
Station wagons are HOT, Greg. Seeing more at car shows and one actually won peoples choice at the last show I attended. Never thought I would see the day but it has arrived. 4 door cars are getting popular too. I think the rear wheel drive has something to do with it. People don't like the look alike little gas sippers that are boring as crap. The president of a car club I am a member of has a station wagon drag car and he just restored a 4 door Plymouth with a big block. So, you are thinking correctly as it appears to me. PS: I would love to have an early Chevy 2 wagon or Falcon wagon myself. Thanks for leaving us a comment and sharing your thoughts!
On the hoist is the Nova specific 283 block. I have many small blocks from 283 to 385 cu. in. Going to warm the 283 over and reinstall in the Nova. .040 over bore, pistons, rods, steel crank, heads, cam, etc. Will post video of the build as soon as the machine shop hones in the piston clearance. Thanks, Chuck.
@@joeschlotthauer840 Mr. Sanders passed away. All the cars along the road are gone. Not sure about those in the junk yard. His son inherited it all and not sure what he did with it. If only scrap, it would be in the hundreds of thousands but with that many of the same years there are millions of dollars if just made to run on their own power. That one 58 green ford with four barrel carb was a 352 interceptor car with 11 to 1 compression. I bought one new and there was no way to record how fast it went cause it buried the speedometer and it stayed buried for a while. My dad stole the heads of it for his boss's truck and it woke it up like right now and it only had a two barrel on it. They were whining about the way it ran and I said you should of took the whole motor cause they are rare so the did and his boss Bob Johnson could start in second gear an grab third gear rubber... no more crying and I got some money for the motor. I was sad cause there was not a scratch in that car till they took the motor out so I let it go
I always liked a 58 Ford. Wish I could rescue this one but I am over loaded on projects now. I bet the 352 with a 4 barrel was quick. My 57 with a 312 was pretty good but a 352 would surely blow mine away. Thanks for sharing your story.
I am really sad to hear about this. Tena and I were headed that way next weekend to do a follow up video and get an interview with Mr. Sanders. MB never met a stranger. Everyone was a friend. He may be one of the most personable fellows I ever met. We will miss him.

The people in the Carolina's have in the shade, that many cars and for sale too. Was I a millionaire, I would buy most all the best with a contingency to buy the rest. I would park them near a river and use a fire hose and get the heavy scum off. Underneath of that pine needle scum is gold and some of the finest kind as they all have their moments back in the day and could again from all the donor cars, I ain't afraid of it. From mighty fine to rat rods come car shows and people. I would take them to high schools and see what they could turn them to. Modern cars are just take offs of old school. What a blessing. Since they are for sale, they could be fixed on. Please give me your thoughts as I do kindly wait for an answer

I wish everyone would post them here instead of just telling me in a PM. We all like the hear this kind of thing. Thanks for watching and sharing your story.
I was in Elementary School in the early/mid 80s and there was a kid whose Dad used to drop him off every day in a baby blue 64 Falcon 4 door.
Wow
So many old cars and some complete ones too
Wish I had the money I’d be there buying at least one to rebuild
I'm with you, Michael. Wish I could take some home myself. Thanks for watching.
Great video, thank you Sir.
We appreciate you watching and leaving us a great comment, Sir!
Love the video and the commentary. Keep up the good work! Thanks!
Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment!
I enjoyed this tour very much; thank-you! 'Love the Comet!
Thank you, Don. Wish I could have taken several home with me. We appreciate the comment too, Sir.
Wow! Thank-you, indy, for replying! Going, to watch, again, Sir!
Love the International in the background at 6:30...
I do too. It's a shame all these cars and trucks are gone. Maybe the went to his junk yard? Hope so. Will check into it one day.
There was some cars there that I had when I was a teenager that I wish I still had today it'll be nice to be able to purchase one of them and go through it
Go for it, Joe. If you can't do all the work, sub some of it out. Driving an old car rolls back the clock and is a joy.
wow i could spend days mooching in there great video thanks for sharing best wishes,,,pat
+magicwands1 I'm with you. I want a lot of those cars and even more car parts. Gotta go back and shoot more video. Missed showing so much due to lack of time. Thank you for watching.
Subbed you & rang the bell. I bought a 66 Nova SS off the showroom floor wish I still had it. Dad owned a 53 & 54 Merc. Love these channels.
Mine was same engine & tranny. Also bought a 69 Nova SS 396 new. Never had the foresight to keep either car. Frame up now is $60K.
Don't we wish we had them all back? If I had kept them all and sold them today, I would be a rich man. Lol.
If only.
I love your style
Thank you! We appreciate you watching.
Torino,GT,wow.
Rare find. Thanks for stopping in.

Nice metal garden reminds me of my buddies place I made a vid on "old cars and happy times'. I'd like to see the truck collection Mr Sanders has
We plan to go back soon. Mr. Sanders passed away but his son probably took over the business. An old truck video would be cool. I usually overlook the trucks as I have limited time. Thanks for the input.
I see some serious material for building a Gasser . The sedans would make some cool cars. Maybe a chopped top lead sled with wide whites
I'm with you, Mike. Some good possibilities parked there. Hope someone rescues some. Thank you for stopping in and leaving us a comment, Sir.
do you think you could tell me where that location of that junk yard was because I have an old car for my first car and I love the Ford trucks and cars I wish I knew or more junk yards were like that if you could I'd really like it if you could tell me where that yard was
This yard is in Elko, SC.
You are The Man. Go for it. Wish I could do the same. We wish you luck.
indyme2 Thank you!
this looks like my place i have 20 acres of cars and trucks try to keep them from 79 on back most are chevy and fords a lot of pu i haul cars for scrap but keep the good project rigs the rusted one's i part out and scrap them just got a 54 ford pu really good body on it no rust or dings but the flat bed is rotted still has a running flat head motor in it
You are my kind of guy, Jeff.
Is it still possible to get parts from this junk yard?
Not sure, Bryan. Mr. Sanders passed away and I assume his son Donnie took over or sold out. Try looking up Donnie Sanders in Elko, SC. You may find a phone number to call. Good luck!
Only place to buy a car is out of a dry climate or indoor storage. Unless you just need some parts. Damp wet ground cars can have frame rot, lower fenders like chicken wire.
Is everything in the junkyard 4 door? I'm a quarter way through and your deuce at home is the only heartbeat I've gotten
2 door cars are getting hard to find and when you find one, you pay dearly. Working on the deuce now. Got the linkage for the 4 speed change over worked out and finishing the plumbing on the front disc brake conversion. Engine build is next as most of the parts have arrived.
Desde venezuela un abrazo
Gracias. Thanks for watching from Venezuela.
Love that white 67 Nova How much is that car or is it not for sale
The white 67 Nova is mine, Dawn. Just put up an update video on it. Not for sale but thanks for asking. It's a sweet car. Appreciate you watching this video.
The truck at 12:30 I also currently own one of them here in the UK and am currently awaiting my 1950s dump truck and 1956 Oldsmobile Super 88 to arrive to the UK
Awesome! Is it hard to find parts there for American cars?
indyme2 It’s quite easy as I went to Desert valley auto parts before they were shipped to the UK
@@ocelot2234 Cool. Bet the shipping wasn't cheap!
indyme2 It was a good price to be honest but At least I can enjoy what I have bought for years to come
@@ocelot2234 I am with you. Good investments and lots of personal enjoyment.
Call MB Sanders in Elko, SC. I lost his number but you can google it.
do you happen to have this yards address??
60 acres of classic cars and not a dime to spend. Lol. This yard is in South Carolina. Everything is for sale. Contact me for information or call M.B. Sanders in Elko, SC. He and his son, Danny, are next door to each other and located at 10301 Hwy. 78, in Elko. Drive down Hwy. 78 in Elko. You can't miss it.

Howdy back. Few people have ever heard of Elko. I stumbled up on it myself during my travels. Saw the cars, marked it on a map and finally went back 20 years later to discover all the cars and more. Thanks for watching.

Hope you find what you are looking for.
when was this video made? In 2015 ? Unbelievalble, thank you for uploading !
I shot this in December 2015. Thank you for watching!
Anyone know if Danny’s is still open? Google street view shows not many cars out front.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for this amazing Video from germany :)
I really really hope the yard already exists... because too often yards goes lost with all the importand, amazing cars & parts when the original owner passes away... :(
Sad about Mr.Sanders passed away. Is his son still in business???
I'm restoring a 67 Chevy Caprice 4 Door Hardtop with my 70 years old father. And i'm looking for parts and when i could choose i like to buy parts from an yard like this to help to safe it. The bad thing for me is, that i can't go to the yards by myself because it's too far away from Bavaria, germany😅
I really wish i life at USA. My love for vintage car junk yards is really big. And at germany you couldn't find places like this, and also no US classic cars at junk yards if there would yards exist.
When I have the luck in future to visit the USA, you could be sure you could find me at yards like this 😂
Is there a chance to get parts from you???? ☺
Have a great time!
Cheers Till
Still plenty of junk yards around here, Till. I doubt many ship parts to Germany though. Sorry. Come to the states. You will have no problem getting everything you need for your car. Don't give up. Restore it!
Do you know if his son is still there and are they still selling them
His son runs the auto shop next door. I'm guessing he is still there. I heard the cars along side of the road are gone but they were probably sent to the yard a few miles down the road, now owned by his son. Thanks for watching.
Why can’t we have junkyards like this up north in Vermont?
Not sure George. Maybe the salt sends them to the crusher early. Glad to have these down here. They are all over the place. Gotta do some more junkyard videos soon. Thanks for watching.
I would like to know about the bulldozer & big old truck , would like to know,,and old tow wrecker .

I did a little research and from what their Facebook page says they do in fact buy and sell cars so it's a slight possibility that one of the Studebakers you showed in the video maybe for sale which is what I'm after
@@brandonpfeifer1612 Great info! Hope you get what you are looking for. Thanks.
There is a 69 or a 70 Pontiac Bonneville or Catalina two-door I wonder if he would sell it
At one time everything was for sale. Give Danny Sanders a call. 803-266-2679. Good luck.

What's behind you? 307 with ramhorns? Or 283/327?
On the hoist is the Nova specific 283 block. I have many small blocks from 283 to 385 cu. in. Going to warm the 283 over and reinstall in the Nova. .040 over bore, pistons, rods, steel crank, heads, cam, etc. Will post video of the build as soon as the machine shop hones in the piston clearance. Thanks, Chuck.

problem is, if you get one of these, can it be re-licensed? Some totaled cars can't be
I think it varies from state to state. A clean title helps but there are other ways to get it titled and tagged. Check with your local body or restoration shop. Hopefully they can tell you what to do. Good luck!
