  • If you have a shop or garage and a miter saw, you likely already have some of these supplies from other projects. Prices are insane right now, but even if you are starting from scratch, this should cost no more than $75. For some, it might even be “free” (all I needed was a third $5 2x4). This miter cart is absolutely not furniture quality perfection, but it will get the job done,. That’s all I care about. It took me less than 2 hours to build, and I am super happy with it. The cart has a width of 26 inches when folded down and 68 inches when fully extended with a working height of 29 inches. The buy and cut list are below.
    Buy list
    • 3x 8 foot 2x4
    • 1x 4x8 foot ½ inch plywood or OSB (you only need 31.5x28 inches of it)
    • 2x brackets www.amazon.com...
    • 4 casters (I recommend all 4 swivel but at least two lock)
    • 1 lb 1 5/8 inch number 6 screws
    • 1 lb 2 ½ or 3 inch number 10 screws
    • 10x ½ inch screws
    • 4x mounting bolts (whichever lags fit the holes in your miter saw base)
    Cut list
    • 4x 24.125 inch (or to whatever total height you want the legs)
    • 3x 19 inch
    • 2x 18 inch
    • 2x 15 inch
    • 2x 6 inch (cut down to 3 inch height)
    • 2 x 6x28 inch wings
    • 1x 22x19 inch base
