I didn’t know you could skip the CCNA and get a CCNP. After taking practice tests for the CCNA, it’s obvious that it doesn’t challenge your problem solving skills, but rather your memory. I was so disappointed to hear other people confirming that the CCNA has become a brain dump.
The regulations do not require the certification if you can prove you can do the job within 6 months. They have 6 months to evaluate you and should not take action against you after those 6 months but they do.
What if you already had a background in an IT related field? Does that advice still apply meaning don't get CCNA unless you're already in a (networking related) job.
If you have no experience in IT, DO NOT take the CCNP, you will look like a joke for many people. Take CCNA first and get a job, then work on the CCNP.
@@Ad000121 I'm actually in the IT industry but I'm more on the hardware side support. I do have 2yrs experience but from a network engineer job I feel like I still don't have much experience. So to compensate I've studied CCNA and AWS. But If the employer want me to show experience, I can only tell a story and how I managed to fix a problem.
I have a few videos about that, there are 3 options once you take the CCNA, but it really comes down to where you are in your IT career and the job you want to get next :)

Wow! That bell is loud!!!
I've got my network + but I don't work in IT , should I take the new CCNA or go straight to CCNP

@@NetworkEngineerAcademy ok thanks 👍
Cert's can backfire for us with less experience in IT especially if you don't have something to show it like projects.
@@mariembuenaventura1278 how do I get experience if everyone is asking for 2-5 years of work experience

Can I start my networking career,by only doing CCNA course or are there any prerequisites?
START WITH CCNA!!!! don't listen to those that tell you other wise.
Be careful you may end up having knowledge gaps if you don't follow the right sequence.
@Cecilio Thomas ccna 👉 ccnp ent 👉 ccie depending on what's your goals. keep in mind a bunch of these on premise networks are also going in the cloud
i had the CCNA before and it expired in 2019, i dont know if i move on with CCNP or renovate CCNA again...
i don't think it's worth it to redo ccna if you have done it before
Hi,

Any suggestions?
