- In this video I'm demonstrating my way of drilling through sea glass. I chose to make a single hole for a bale as well as make a heart shape. This is my first you tube video post. Feel free to like and share. Comment with questions and I'll reply when I can. Thanks for watching! I'm demonstrating how I use a foredom drill with diamond coated drill bits.

Hello! I am from Maine and noted the shape of the glass before you said it! Thank you for the informative video. Nell
Perfect! I’ve been looking for the right video for ages... Thank you.
Just subscribed to your channel, and looking forward to watching your other videos...
Hi. Could you tell me where to buy the drill your using please. Thanks
Yay….way cool….I’m going to try that tomorrow
Great video! How to you keep from drilling through the lid? Do you set a stop or what?
I drill from both sides and meet in the middle. There’s always a risk of breaking the glass but if you go slow and use plenty of water you should be ok.
Thanks for the video. is there any concern about getting glass dust on skin?
I don’t have any concerns about it. I drill with water and always wash my hands after.
Where does one get a drill like that??
Hearing the drill grinding the glass is making my teeth 🦷 tingle. I am such a sook at the dentist I have to be numbed. You are very skilled.
Is there a way to make the glass stay shiny like it is under water 💦?
You can add a touch of oil to the glass but most people prefer the original look. Depends on your preference.
Umm. . We all need to be numbed for dental work.
I have these drill bits but they dont even make a dent in the glass!
Could I get the info on the drill and love the vy
Check the comments, I purchased mine from Rio Grande. The brand is Foredom.
Could you let me know the make of your drill please xx
Hi. I have been on Rio Grande website, but for some reason I have not been able to find the exact drill you used in the video. Do you know the exact name of it? Also, does it come with the drill bits or are they separate?
I buy my drill bits on Amazon. My Foredom drill is about 15 years old. They probably have a similar one on Rio.
Hi just wanted to know where you buy AUTHENTIC sea glass? Thank you
I find my sea glass locally but there’s plenty of places to buy sea glass. Etsy and eBay are great sites, search for GENUINE or AUTHENTIC. There are plenty of places that sell machine tumbled glass so you have to find a trusted seller.
Please could you give me the link for the drill ? 😁
Info in the comments 😁

I use an electric fordom but you can use a dremel type as well. I use diamond coated drill bits you can buy on Amazon.

Where do I buy this drill???
Michelle Knight You could order from Rio Grande. It’s an electric foredom.
I just saw your message and I just finished putting in my first order with them... I will call them in the morning and maybe I can add this drill to my order
But what is the name of this drill again??
Thank you, so much for getting back to me.. I ordered some sea glass that pre dates 1920’s and I order her special glass that has a lot of bottom pieces and I saw a video on adding flat leather on each side and the brown and amber colors will be great for Fathers Day gifts...
I already looked back and saw it was a Foredom. And yes Rio Grande has the same drill. And it’s a super great drill. I can do a lot of jewelry crafts with this drill and thank you very much.
