I saw black label a few years ago in Brisbane, I remember thinking during the first song "I can't wait to see Zakk shred it" I looked up and saw the fingers moving and "I think he already is" all I could really hear was an incredibly loud ringing in my ears. The first solo brought back some of those memories. It's great seeing Zakk but very disappointing when the sound lets you down.
The entire band is comprised of amazing musicians and the music they play together is phenomenal. Heavy and bluesy . Straight up picked up where Black Sabbath left off .
I know. Since you just said all the facts, I can't repeat it all because it'd just look like I had no idea earlier, but I meant the fact that Ozzy was with Sabbath before his solo career. Zakk was his (i think) third guitarist, with Randy Rhoads and Jake E. Lee being his first and second.
This is super dangerous! I go to watch live broadcasting of the Black Label Society sometime! The guitar technique of Boss of the house is the number one in the world!
dont get me wrong zakks my favorite guitarist behind dime but thats just him ripping thru pentatonics. maybe a combination of 7 or 8 notes in different octaves with the occasional dive bomb or key change. randy used classical scales and amazing arpeggios that no one had ever seen, jake was good but just a replacement for randy. brad being a replacement for jake and gus being a replacement for zakk
I was in this year on 2 concerts of BLS. And sound there was nearly like this, ZAKK is the best, but I was two times disappointed in audio presentation. :((
Zakk was Ozzies #1 for a long time, after Randy of couse. Ozzy and Sharon had alot to do with who Zakk is today. Zakks come along waay since pride and glory.
