    Just want to say thanks Marty, I got your courses when I bought the Swatzernator overdrive pedal, I have gone through them all a few times and dude, I understand so much more of the guitar, my friends are amazed with how much I've improved, I am the guitarist/singer in a 3 piece. When people ask me about guitarists I love, it's Jimmy Paige, Jimi Hendrix, and Marty Swartz, thank you dude,

    This has really helped. After over 30 years of playing, I've always struggled with the major pentatonic. Give me a Dorian chord progression to noodle with, I'm fine. Anything major pentatonic was always a problem (don't know why). Not any more!

    Mr Marty you just give me a one of those eureka moments, I've played for years and run minor pentitonic pretty well but any time im in 1st position A all I see is A key there but this just opened the while neck up on playing any area in any key I need , I knew it was there but didn't know how to apply it , such a awesome video on how to move around neck better in any key major or minor , thank u sir

    Hello Marty, How do you remember the timing of licks when playing such melodies ? Do you count in your mind as 1, 2, 3, 4 when playing licks OR do you only concentrate on the melody and just play ?

    • @kingloser4198
      @kingloser4198 2 роки тому +1

      The rhythm parts help with that

    • @RameshKumar-ng3nf
      @RameshKumar-ng3nf 2 роки тому +2

      @@kingloser4198 Thanks. Am very confused how to have rhythm in mind when playing melody lines ☹️. While practicing exercises I count as 1and 2and 3nd 4nd etc etc. But while playing real music I have no idea how to count ☹️

    • @kingloser4198
      @kingloser4198 2 роки тому +2

      @@RameshKumar-ng3nf My advice is get rhythm guitar sorted and then introduce very simple couple of notes. Also away from the guitar and counting along to songs. Start simple at first I'd say. There are quite a few ways to count songs based upon lots of things. Once you learn it you'll feel like your reading the Matrix code with ease. Practice makes perfect as they say.
