    So happy to find this content. This and 1916 podcast are the two most informative watch content I have seen. Thank you for all the effort this requires. Big 👍🏼

    Great video, but I've seen this topic on UA-cam before.
    What would be unique, and really helpful for modern or neomodern collectors, would be discussing stone dials on 40mm daydates.
    Please do a video like that!

      @@a004 thanks for watching! A video on that will not happen on our account tho. We are obsessed with vintage and believe 36mm is the right size for a Day-Date. But I’m sure others are interested to do something on those.

    Can you guys please do a video giving advice/talking through buying a vintage watch online and or unseen. I live in Australia and unfortunately do not have much access to variety and great watches. Therefore, have to resort to sites like chrono etc. but this can be very tricky given the nature of the process. Would appreciate advice! Cheers

    Awesome vid. I was looking through the museum on the website and noticed a distinct lack of Jaeger LeCoultre. I dont wanna force anything but i'm curious as to why. As far as i know both its swiss and american operations did some amazing things in the watch world and had some incredibly unique pieces. Would love a video on them!

    FC is maybe not original but I wouldn't say that they are least inspiring. They are just trying new things recently: silicon monolithic oscillator, perpetual calendar, tourbillon and now stone dials. We can arque about the pricing, conservative design etc but for sure they are not scared to introduce new things (for the brand)

    Great Video! What happens when you send a damaged stone dial to rolex service? Do you get a new stone dial?

    • @AmsterdamVintageWatches
      @AmsterdamVintageWatches  2 місяці тому +1

      @@benjaminellerbeck3657 great question. Rolex does stock a couple stone dials that are “on exchange”; meaning: you’d get another one if your bring in a broken one. Yet, this supply is limited to just a small number of dials like Onyx. And it is a service dial, so not the same font and possibly aperture style.
