Excellent instruction thank you so much!
Can you change the siren sound? To make it sound like an alarm and not a buzzer?
We was about to send it back, but your video taught us the right way to set this up.... thanks man
Glad it helped somebody Rich
Good job, clear explanations. I am using this in a doctor's office. I bought Blink mini cameras to complement the system. Almost returned this because the system would not connect to 5mhz on Comcast. They said to just be next to the modem-router and the 2.4mhz would appear. I had tried to install it from my desk which is about 15-20 ft away, and the app would not show the 2.4mhz connect option. No problem when I relocated right next to the modem. What is the purpose of the Green on-off icon on the app? Does it have to be on to arm the system with the remote?
great job explaining it. thanks buddy
Any time!
Thank you so much I really appreciate you for sharing your Video I installed this and did I moved and was having trouble reconnecting
Glad it helped!
just set this same system up and it’s worth every penny i promise
If replace the door sensor battery while its armed will it trigger the alarm to sound.....i dont not have the app or an account roommate has not set me up on it yet
Yes, if you tamper with the sensor in any way, it will trigger an event through the main panel so you would want to install the app on your phone or have your roommate home before changing out batteries. It's also a good idea to do them all at once. If you get some good lithium batteries, they will last a long time and you shouldn't have to do it again for many years.
Hi - can you tell me how to turn up the volume for the notifications on my iPhone 13??
Go into the settings icon on your phone their should be a volume adjustment
Hello Can you name each individual sensor? also can you tell me where to install the sensors if my windows can be open on both panels there is not a glued side. Thank you
Yes, you can edit the sensor to name it. Our top and bottom windows both open, so I put one contact on the top of the bottom window and one on the bottom of the top window. If either moves it triggers the alarm. If you cant figure it out, I would just put a motion PIR on the window.
Great tutorial. I bought the unit and I want to use it in my camper when I travel. Can this be done when you park in a different place? Please let me know. Thanks a lot.
Yes you can certainly install it in a RV. The main issue would be that module needs to connect to internet to sent you alert messages. If you are parking it in a campground, most of them provide some type of Wi-Fi. If it is at home, you should be able to connect to the house Wi-Fi. Alfa networks also makes a Camp Pro 2 Wi-Fi antenna that will pick up networks from far away. The audible alarm will work without internet, however, you need internet to get the phone alerts.
Using Alexa, Google or IFTTT, can I create routines in my smart setup?
This is a basic, cost effective alarm system for a home. To get into all of that you would want a Honeywell Lynx and Total Connect and Alarm Grid offer all of those features.
Do you know why I receive notification on my phone if I arm or disarm the alarm, if someone click sos on the remote, but I don't get a notification n the phone when the alarm get set off? Because I can not figure out if someone set it off when I am outside home. Any help? Thank you
You should definitely get alarm notifications. I would test contacts to make sure they are in range and programmed properly.
What type of battery use
Am i able to use screws instead of the double sided sticky tape , or maybe some really, really good velcro on the sensors 🤔? Ill be using one of these sensors in a semi humid environment, a garage in the south also can you name each individual door/window sensor or are they named sensors 1 - 5? Last question lol, does it have the option to add motion cameras or cameras to it as well. Great video, liked and subscribed, thanks !
Yes the contacts can be screwed in. If you want to customize the zone names and add cameras and all of that a Honeywell Lynx L5200 gives you more options through total connect. This unit is simplified and more cost effective but very effective for basic intrusion alarms.
Hi,
What if i have 5 Wi-Fi? What do i do, m
Why one of the key fob is not working
What would cause this system to keep sending me SOS signals randomly?
Is this a new system? If it is older, change the batteries in the contacts. The other cause could be contacts are too far from base. Try to centrally locate the base as it has to connect to each contact wirelessly.
Can I use this alarm with the motion sensor inside my car?
What kind of motion sensor is it?
Not connecting
Dude you put on a wig? I watched a couple of your videeos but that was triop
