If batteries are removed from the PIR motion sensor the alarm panel will not detect this, however in order for someone to remove the batteries they will need to remove the back cover. If the back cover is removed, that will trigger the motion sensor tamper switch. A notification will be sent to the app indicating the following: OSI Alarm: Tamper and Alarm From: (name of the sensor) The App will also monitor when the PIR Motion sensor battery is low.

What is the default level 2 security code? How do I change that?

Install a PIR on your panel
After remove the batteries of this PIR ,activated your system the panel can not detect this abnormalities

That is correct. PIR shows always ON even when switched off or batteries removed
