Thank you for adding some of the best memories of my life this season. That Lindor GS on the Phils is definitely a top moment. Alonso extending the season and possibly his tenure as a Met will not be forgotten regardless of where he goes next year.
Love the Cohen----Stearns connection, both growing up as Met Fans, now working as a powerful tandem together! I got the impression the Mets love Pete, but it will be at their price, not what Boras wants. If another team wants to over pay, the Mets will let him go, and that is OK David Stearns and his staff proved they know what they are doing. Whatever decision they make, it will be to make the team better, not just because of a financial reason.
Of course. Pete will take the highest offer, unless it is really close and he decides to give the home team a "discount." Beyond that, though, I think another team will offer more years and more dollars. I'll miss Pete, but I don't expect him back. Let's get used to Vientos as the new Mets 1b.
@@JetsMetsfan1 Of course. Everyone conveniently forgets that after Pete hired Boras, he turned down a more than fair 7 years 160 mil. So the idea that he would love to remain a NY Met is not exclusive. He also wants Boras to help him become overpaid.

Phillies, Braves, Dodgers have their core guys, year on and year out..Mets should retain Alonso - he is the match up to Phillies Schwarber, Braves Olsen, Dodgers Freeman. Vientos can improve at 3B, and is equal or better at hitting to other teams. Acuna needs to get the start at 2B great upside. I do agree with your core comments. I think David S will try to get Pete back but I don't see that long term deal coming to him at 30. 3 with an option for 4 years i think they can live with. CF i hope Taylor comes back he's elite and while not a starter he can be that 4th outfielder we need to step in along with McNeil as a jack of all trades guy. I would Move Marte and pay whatever you have too for better prospects to clear the RF spot. That can be for a big name or emerging AAA player but i do believe we are all in for Soto. Give Jett W a chance in CF and Acuna at 2B. If Pete does happen to leave i think Gilbert has a chance to make it out of Spring training. Alot of work to be done on the staff.
