Yes, Floor was a goddess even before she was a goddess. Greatest, most versatile singer, possibly ever.
100% agreed
99.99999999% of vocalists sing what they can... Floor sings what she wants
@@MrAppomatox This,
My friend, is what a lot of old nightwish fans will never uderstand. You can score a 10/10 on specific way of singing. Really youre a true expert. Or just score 8/10 on all different style of songs in the world, including and last but not least, REAL metal style singing. Now.. lets enjoy another view on the Wacken concert where she nails every original song of nightwish live on stage instead of studio practising
From wedding to funeral songs😁
Revamp is created by Floor. After the break up of After Forever, she wanted to do her thing and wrote all songs herself. Sander from After forever started Epica with Simone, who is a very close friend of Floor. They were roommates while they studied at the Rock academy in Holland. After that Floor also went to the conservatory for classical vocal lessons and found an extremely good vocal coach he guided her for 6 years. She is truly the most gifted female singer I have heard, and I am into metal for 30 years and play guitar myself and had classical training. SHE IS THE BOMB!
No human can sing like this! Floor is insanely brilliant!
Floor put ReVamp together, managed the band and had complete creative control. After Forever was managed by Sander Gommans, Nightwish is all Tuomas, but ReVamp is 100% Floor.
And they both Sander and Floor experienced a burn-out unfortunately
If Floor should one day quit Nightwish, I hope she'd start a new band like ReVamp as I like her heavier side.
@@OlettaLiano Actually I think it would be cool if Nightwish covered a ReVamp song at a concert, so that Floor could really let it rip.
@@billattercliffe8655 I'd be down for that. But I don't know if Tuomas would allow it. Judging from the musical turn of the latest album, he seems to be off on a more symphonic tangent, and leaving the harder stuff behind.
AF may have been managed by Gommans but Floor was the principle songwriter, especially from Empty Circles and beyond.
Now you know why Floor is the Queen of Metal. She has earned the title.
lol floor is the queen of symphonic metal........she has way too much soft vocals to be queen of "Metal" period lol.
@@davidjames6036 its only one woman i can put above floor and her name is :Doro Pesch ,all the rest my friends is second league.floor sings symphonic cause nightwish is a symphonic band , but she prooved to all the world in after forever and revamp and other projects she can do power metal or black metal or holy fucking metal . End my case .
@@davidjames6036 You did see this whole performance right? Im Nightwish fan, but Floor - really - cannot help it that nightwish dont make use of these metal skills. In the end, She does THIS beside everything in Nightwish which makes her WAY WAY more versatile then your singers
@@davidjames6036 arshole
She's not underrated. She's rated at the very top.
America is very different.
The "very top"? That's not high enough....
She can sing like an angel and growl and roar like a demon , in the same song and change in a split, you never know what she gonna do when you listen a song first time.
lol her growls are weak compared to tati pure faxx lmfaoooooooooo.
@@davidjames6036 who?
Tati growls hard but is thin in everything else
I always say if people are impressed with Floor with Nightwish, imagine when they listen to her own stuff!
Yep way more impressive than anything she's done with Nightwish
@@remagine It takes a lot of talent to take songs written for others and make them sound like they were written for you. That's not to disparage her previous work in any way.
@@remagine Apples and oranges. ReVamp is minimalist compared to Nightwish, a very different aesthetic. Love them both, but for very different reasons. I would argue Floor did not fully realize her ability until she got to NW and got very different material to play and grow with. Tuomas writes to push his leads which is why I think Floor loves working with him. Endless Forms and Human Nature are an absolute masterclass!
Yess they need to listen to her after forever and revamp...and they can see or hear to be correct how they aren't using her vocally I'm mean the only nightwish album with her are good are the live ablum and when she singing the older stuff...I mean give us a dark passion play ablum again...we would not be mad... I miss this floor
@@jasoncaldwell2074 They are all almost 15 years older now, in completely different places. They are doing what interests them now, not the same thing over and over. And I think Floor sounds better than ever, better all-around singer.
This is how I discovered Floor 😆 was far more underrated then than she is now I would say.
How I miss this kind of Floor 😭
Seeing Floor switch from growl to rock vocals on a dime, but then also singing operatic style still baffles me. Don't get me wrong singers like Tatiana from Jinjer is super talented, but Floor is just on another level.
This is Floor. Nightwish is Floor on her best behavior. :)
Imagine her opening with this the Beste Zangers tour she had 😁
@@johto I would have loved if one of the other singers would have sung Disdain for Floor.
ReVamp was truly Floor's baby, nose to tail. This is Floor at her hardest, most raw, seemingly on edge of breakdown (which she was(, but doing some of the most compelling singing of her career. BTW, there is a documentary (on Prime), Soaring Highs and Brutal Lows: The Voices of Women in Metal, which features Floor, among others, where she is quite candid about that pre-NW period. I think you may find the whole thing interesting, cause they got great access to a lot of singers you react to.
As for ReVamp, I like Wild Card (album) better, but this album has one of her best ballads, Sweet Curse, which along with After Forever's Cry With a Smile might be the most underrated power ballads ever.
that would be cool to see
Omg thanks so much for the documentary recommendation, had no idea about it!!!
The rage of nature , a queen! Re - Vamp are stunning. Queen !
Finally! :) While you're at it check out Wild Card from ReVamp.
Agreed
The live one's audio n video qualities are too poor. The song is epic though!🤘🏼🔥
@@Cosmos_Titan they always had some sound issues
@@Immortall1408 sad🙁 but true.
@@Cosmos_Titan I think it was even here with "Here´s My Hell" - something with a mic transmission or something
You should definitely check out Floor Jansen on a Dutch reality show beste zangers 2019 , it shows all the different styles and languages she can do, awesome awesome thanks 😊
Floor still amazes me with her vocal range, styles and stage presence. Completely insane.
I always use headphones. Btw, Nightwish knew Floor already in her After Forever days. And seeing this performance it’s no wonder Tuomas called Floor to replace Annette temporarily when the 2012 world tour almost fell apart. “Who do you call? ghostbuster Floor!”
I remember one comment about her, where someone said she came to earth to gather the fallen heroes and take them back to Valhalla. Yeah, I think that pretty much sums it up. Everyone should watch the Saturday Storytime videos she has on youTube. She's put them together while stuck at home these days. I think she has about 4 or 5 of them. She's working on some solo stuff too now. You'll also see another side of her. The one that puts up a fence with an electric drill, and also drives an ATV around her farm cleaning up horse poop. You gotta love her. 👍👍👍
Yes, she is the Valkiriey, Brings you to Valhalla 🥰😊
@@ralfmeyer9086 And fixes the fences while she's there ;).
@@alanfoster6589 you see it in her Storytime ? Hihi.its the Hammer 😊
When dealing with Floor Jansen. She has been there done that. She is much like An exotic sports car, shifting to what ever is needed, growling, screaming, opera, pop and of course metal. Now all the people that want heavy, want rock wish away cause it has been done. She also a voice coach, She also sings in eight languages.
wow
And also While Love Dies, to hear her Hard Rock side.
Gotta love old floor. To me dreamflight by after forever is still my favorite floor song. Good to see rockerNL keeps stepping up with the great Dutch requests. Bedankt gast
Definitely one of the best reaction couples ever. Highly entertaining !!!!
aw thanks!!
Floor toured in the USA with Revamp and that's where she met her husband Hannes van Dahl, drummer of Sabaton. I believe that was in 2015
Please react to Ayreon-Intergalactic space crusader, live. The singers are awesome and Floor’s sister is one of the backup singers. I promise you Will love it!!
in some nightwish video"s you can see that she have a ReVamp tattoo on her right whrist...it"s a Omega shaped tattoo on the inside... Funny fact.. love you guys..Hail to you
I don't know if I'd call Floor underrated (at least to those who have heard her perform any significant amount), but I can with certainty say she is a 100% certified badass.
like i said in another comment. here in america she doesnt get a lot of attention. underrated means undervalued. we see her value but others do not or she would be more popular here. for example her last show in cleveland had 382 people going. but big bands here play venues that hold 20k people. She deserves better from an american point of view.
@@TheWolfHunterZ Totally agreed, and I figured that's what you meant (I was just being a little cheeky). I only learned of Floor/Nightwish maybe a year ago, and my first thought was "How in the world have I never heard this band before?" I'm continually amazed at the amount of wonderful music that seems to never gain huge traction in the US.
That's our Queen Floor. Thank you for the reaction. Peace. Headphones here.
ReVamp, Wild Card, live Bloodstock 2014.
Yup, being a Dutch metal head is a blessing...Seen floor also in After Forever, ReVamp, Nightwish....But we have more...Epica...Delian...Within Temptation...Anneke...We LOVE our girls!!!!!!
Floor was a seriously wild thing back in the days :D You should check After Forever too, her bend before ReVamp
Floor is like an exotic sports car, shifting and changing as needed for what ever is needed, she does it all, with perfection she can do most genres and sings in eight languages. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. I get a kick out of people wishing she could growl, well she does and has done it for some time,
ahaha
Holy shit!!!!! My first time hearing her in this setting.
Floorgasm!!!
Floor is so Talented
for an emotional journey check out after forever and her song Strong...also her and Tarja singing together (they are good friends)
If you ever asked yourself if Floor was able to do it all, then here is your answer.
Another revamp live performance, Floor is joined by Simone from Epica:
Revamp (with Simone Simons) : Sweet Curse, live @ MFVF 8
Goosbumbs, I love her. ❤❤❤
Sorry, i forget, see you last Floors Storytime #4 for her new Solo Album, she works with Joost van der Broek..(After Forever) It is so cool🤗
After forever, Floors band before Revamp!! Monolith of doubt live!!
the thing is,
you two are just super sweet and lovely.
Wow! I love it.🤘
Wait until you would hear the next song trial of monsters!
If this was a 3 season plot arc, ReVamp would be the season where we got "Dark Floor".
This rocks. Floor looking like a tall, Dutch Sookie Stackhouse in leather.
For listening to music, always headphones. I'm an old timer but I really enjoy your reactions.
Every time I listen to this my muscles get a little bigger and my chest gets hairier. This is great, love it.
When it comes to music, I always reach for the headphones.
i feel i enter my own world when i hve headphones on
@@TheWolfHunterZ You know it. Just let the world and everything else melt away.
when Floor sings the "ahs" that is her growling in the background
Her who ? The guitar player ?
@@arnaldotanta3630 no floor. Even though the guitarist was growling too. Floor"s growls were prerecorded
More ReVamp! Try Wildcard live for more of Floor growling. Lookin good Suzi Q. Keep up the great work guys.
Revamp - Trial Of Monsters from the same show is my favorite song of theirs
There's a song called "Trial of Monsters" by ReVamp also from this same recital. I found it to be one of the very best of ReVamp's jams but unfortunately it's so underated. I would love to see you guys react to it. Much love! ✌️
HOW I NEVER SEE THIS VIDEO BEFORE????!!!!! Floor is a Maximus woman!!
she is frigging amazing
Hahaha, i loved that smile on both of your faces 😂😂😂😂
As you can see and hear from this video. Floor was actually doing heavier music with her band Revamp, before she joined Nightwish. Great job Travis and Suzie. Looking good Suzie!
Love Revamp! Floor wrote a lot of the songs! Trial of Monsters same concert pleeeeese🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
It may be time for Northward - While Love Died. Sassy Floor!
🤘🏼And jorn Lofstad rules
Hail Floorrrr!!!
That was badass!!! I love her hair she is so sexy! The band jams...I agree guys this was cool!!
This was very early after ReVamp was formed and so this shows Floor in her experimental stage with more agressive vocals - having been inspired by Angela Gossow. She did not really venture in this direction with After Forever as it was not really needed. If you watch something like "Wild Card" from 2014 (there is live one from Bloodstock), you will see how comfortable she got with it.
YESSSS and today she goes with Shomaker in a full opera voice.but you knew, friend..it is Floor Jansen The Queen and VALKYRIE🥰
2013 was a good year for her I guess if think that wildcard is one of her best songs with ReVamp and the wildcard album release date was 3 weeks after her 2013 nightwish performance at wacken, one of her best performances in those years.
@@JHX1 which is something that probably helped her to deal with that burn-out
I would love to hear Mr Dimash do these growls. Let's see who is the versatile singer. I bet the answer is already clear, but who knows?
Yes!!!! Finally!!
Check her out in “After Forever- Discord” as well!!!
She've got her talent to take audience with - heck like allways...
This my friends, is why Floor is the Queen of Metal
HOLY SHIT!! Sooooo good!!!
Gotta love Floor! In every iteration, she is supreme!
RIP ReVamp we hardly knew you. There some real nuggets of songs in those two albums. I enjoy this harder side, but I think Floor could easily re-work these songs now to have a broader commercial appeal (outside of the metal community). She kinda did that with "Sweet Curse" for her Dutch solo tour.
listening on studio monitors....good sound.
We knew you'd get it! That's why we kept requesting this!... Blondes have more fun, they say! ;) :D
This is during the first year of her discovering and playing with her harsh vocals
Those genuinely surprised looks on your faces when Floor growled her way through the first part of the song... priceless LOL. Really loved that. Keep it up you two!
It's scary that, with those heels, Floor is probably as tall as I am. That's a lot of hotness! ;-)
The song "Wildcard" live is also quite something
Floooor!!❤
Seen this one about 50 times.
How can something this heavy bring tears to my eyes ....every time.....
Wanne see another amazing side of Floor?
Check out her version of Lady Gaga's Shalow.
Thanks
I was there 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I listen with all of the above.
Hi, I listen to Floor with my own ears.
Did you have any doubt that the Viking Queen rules all 4 corners of her realm?? One Queen to rule them all..... \m/
Listen primarily with Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones and sometimes a Marshall Woburn Multi-Room.
headphones. young full of fire Floor! She knows what it's like to go out and grind. build a band up from a garage to headliner. she takes zero shit. will curse you the fuck out if you disrespect her.
This was easily the best reaction these 2 have done.
Brings back memories!😁😁 I've been following her since After Forever
Headphones, iems, tws, earbuds cause music is personal. 😎👍
Her band Before...and during nightwish.
And Marshall wired headphones, Marley earplugs or wireless cheapo Sony ones when I work.
Try 'Sweet Curse' from same show. It's totally different from Disdain but a great song!
Thank u guys for reaction to sum of her other bands it means a lot to us floor fans that's been there since after forever
Do you guys know, that there are couple of documentaries about Nightwish? I can recommend one over the others and it's called "Learn the playlist in 48 hours". I'm pretty sute that the rest of NW Army will tell you everything about it. Sonny from Cleveland (UA-cam reactor & heavy metal head) just did it and it was so cool. Do it live, please? You are in this rabbit hole already called Nightwish, so go full power with it!
I'm a little late to the party on this reaction. Floor is, in my opinion, the best singer on the planet. No matter what style/genre she sings, she slays it. How many singers can go from growling to clean vocals to opera style and be awesome at it like she does? I was fortunate to see Revamp open for Iced Earth I think in 2014 or thereabouts and fell in love with her singing. She also has an amazing stage presence. Another song I think you would get into from this same show is The Trial of Monsters.
Unstoppable..
my headphones sound much much better that the little pc speakers such a cool performance
Since you asked Travis mostly a home studio but earbuds at work.
When at home, I use headphones - Audio Technica DSR7-BT
Floor? Versatile.
Headphones always, Philips Fidelio X2HR, open back for the sound stage and properly cover the ears without pressing on them, ultimately comfy and excellent audio.
Wow this brings back memories, I was in the audience somewhere back then. Went to graspop a few years in a row!
I was there xD. After Wacken, GMM (Graspop Metal Festival) is my favourite metal festival.
And headphones all the way, unless you are in a studio, with good wall acoustics, and studio speakers, there is just nothing that compares to headphones. (Plus it helps to not upset the neighbours or the rest of the household)
Hello Wolf Hunters. I hope that Rocker NL next time donates and ask for. (other wise I shall do this)."The trial of the monsters". Great guitarplayers as Jord Otto (remember that name!!), great stuff for the Wolfhunters .
Revamp ‘here’s my hell’ live at Swartz cross is a good one :)
This IS the Floor that I know and LOVE!!! Unleashed, unchained, uncompromising POWER!!! No offense to the NW Army but this was Floor at her peak.
It was a step to where she is now. She's singing better than ever. She could still unleash if she wanted to. But the work she put into the new NW album is beautiful. Noise calls back to the days of ReVamp, towards the climax.
@@ChrisPage68 She's singing more controlled, restrained, not better IMO. Metal is a visceral art form. She has the potential STILL but Tuomas doesn't really tap into it like he should. Just my opinion.
