I'm fucking speechless, this woman is the VALKYRIE GODDESS OF METAL
I saw Revamp a few years ago, right before Floor joined Nightwish. They were touring with Sabaton, in the Atlanta, GA, stop. While Sabaton got up to do their set, a tall woman walked from behind me, and was just standing watching the Sabaton set. It was Floor.. She was watching Sabaton do their set, standing next to me. WOW!!!! A few months later she joined Nightwish. When Tarja left (Was kicked out) of Nightwish, I always thought Floor would be the PERFECT match, and it has since come true. I do think in ReVamp she could show more of her range, but the next Nightwish album looks to be killer.
Nope ... Floor did not replace Tarja - who left in 2005 ... Floor replaced Annette who had become toxic to the rest of the band in part because she was angry that Floor was going to replace her when Annette stopped touring due to her pregnancy. Annette has said when she first heard Floor was going to be brought in as fill in singer she told the band hell no ... admitting after the fact that she feared Floor would be so well liked the band would decide to fire her with Floor taking her job. Instead things go so ugly (perhaps other reasons) that by the time Annette was sick in Denver and then the way Annette reacted to the band choosing to go on with the show while Annette was in the ER ... well documented that she was very angry about that and apparently raised hell to the point the band finally said enough. Floor was called and asked to come immediately - Floor has said the call came while she was at her sister's wedding.
This is why they wanted Floor in Nightwish ( the rumor is going around they already wanted her when Tarja left). They decided not to ask her because they knew this would be the end of After Forever and they did not want to be responsible for that.
Baby Floor could do it all, even back then, she sings like and angel and growl like a demon, and has the throat/lungs of a goddess. I think she has tone down her style over the years, and mastered the windmill

This was Floor her band, she created Revamp and wrote the music and lyrics. She mixed Nightwish and Revamp for a long time, till she had to stop her "baby".

I remember another video where she confronted the guy with the camera trying to shoot her upskirt (a real asshole this guy). The video was deleted because she had to even confrot him again here in youtube. It was during the song "Wild Card", right before she started the growling section ("make up my mind, fight the demon inside..."). You could see she was somehow channeling all her anger in those growlings. Scary as hell. She didn't deserve to be treated like that, I'm glad she managed to really make her point through her actions.
BTW, I love your videos, dude. You remind me of exactly how I was 10 years ago when I discovered Floor's beast mode in her Revamp era and her insane headbaning in AF as well. Keep up the good work.

Yep, I remember reading that article too. I imagined the scene. The dude being an obnoxious jerk and Floor deciding, oh hell no, this did not just happen, and calling him out. In his place, I would have felt sooo bad and scared. It's really the quiet ones you have to watch.

I think Wildcard is probably the best example of Floor's range. It contains great growls, mixed, chest, head, and opera. I guess it's hard to choose, but I think Wildcard is even better than Monolith of Doubt. Plus, I don't like blonde Floor. She looks so much better with her dark hair.

Yes, You're wrong. I think you're thinking of Mark Jansen from After Forever. He formed Epica after he left/was fired from (depending on who you ask) After Forever.
