@@Yue_JinThis likely has less to do with the brain damage and more the fact that the brother was probably the favorite. They let the brother spend whatever money he wanted, didn't make him be responsible when the company needed them both, then put the lazy child in charge because he "needs to learn responsibility." And by learn responsibility they probably just meant let their favorite child be in charge while the competent son work his butt off to counteract their favorite's incompetence
Three weak links. 1) Father for pulling such a stupid stunt. 2) Mother for allowing father to pull such a stunt. 3) Brother for not realizing what he's doing.
Maybe I'm too violent but if my brother did something like that (story 2) he would be getting major surgery on his legs. My bestfriend sure remembered after his hospitalization that you don't mess with your friends women.
Yeah if a sibling betrayed me like that, I would cripple them. If I broke up with my girlfriend and then a sibling swooped in and started dating her, I would be disgusted in my sibling but I wouldn't do anything unless I learned they were fooling around while we were together.
"We want your brother to inherit the business because we think it'll help teach him responsibility." Translation: "We as parents failed to discipline him and instill responsibility as we should have. So now you'll have to break your back even more to compensate for his inevitable poor decisions, because we have a pipe dream that somehow you'll parent your brother better than we did."
🎯🎯🎯🎯 such reasoning is the most backwards dumb thinking ever!! The **real reason** they gave the brother the business was favoritism plain and simple and it got OP’s father rolling in the grave! Playing favorites is stupid.
Yep. Like in what world did they believe giving the kid who they themselves admitted couldn't handle responsibility end well. It would of been much better to give him a small but notabke stake in the company (like 10% or something) but make a term of his inheritance that he needs to work within the company for X number of years with good performance
I remember this story from another Reddit T2S video, and the OP had commented that this wasn't the first child out of wedlock his brother had. His parents forgave that because the first was wasn't religious, so they used that as an excuse to forgive him.
His story was so wild though… he met ex again and without dating he went straight to asking her to marry him… this whole time they had never been intimate… if that story is true it’s just another proof how being radically religious fucks things up
Story one, honestly it's hard to feel too bad about the business going down. OP's father knew full well what his brother was like. He knew that he was a lazy, feckless dolt. His idea of heaping a big pile of responsibilities on him and expecting him to suddenly thrive is a fools thinking. He also knew his other son worked hard, dedicated himself and rightfully deserved to be made owner. Instead, he let the lazy, useless son have the company and put the smart son in a position that would let the worthless bum ignore him whenever he felt like it. His father made this choice and honestly, that result should have been the expected outcome. Anyone would be able to see it. No surprise OP quit either. Nah, you live your best life OP. Your father orchestrated the fall of his company by stupidly thinking handing that much power to a loser would make him change.
Feels like what he feared would happen is if he gave the company to the competent brother that the CB would take the company and leave the other brother with nothing. What the dad should have done was put the business in a trust that both brothers would have more or less equal access to, that way the CB would still have incentive to make the business thrive and the OB wouldn't have sole authority and could still learn from CB. Instead he set up the only losing scenario where CB leaves and OB drives the company into the dirt.
@@Fuhrerkinglohengrin And still make it go down because ... give even half of it will make it go to waste too. In either case, the business was set up for failure if OP's brother has half of it.
I've witnessed this happen at a company I work for. The dumbass son ruined everything, whilst the other siblings who gave a fuck were constantly trying to fix it. Eventually they did get him out though, they had to buy him out or something but they are still around these days.
Story 1. It was a bad decision for the dad to make the lazy unproductive brother the inherited chairman. I knew exactly where this was going. The hardworking brother who took care of the business was practically insulted and not appreciated. Unjustified favouritism. Look the lazy brother caused the family business to liquidate. Bad decisions always lead to bad outcomes.
Story 2, every time I hear these stories (cheating with a friend or relative). I just wonder exactly what kind of people they are. Honestly I’m not a saint, I just wouldn’t be cheating with anyone involved with a friend, relative or even a neighbor. Honestly that’s how people die
Spineless OP, sociopath brother, weak parents. And the mf is still making excuses for her. "Oh she was manipulated by him" man shut up. She cheated on him, use him to entice the brother and would have probably pinned the pregnancy in OP. TBH with all these stories I starting to think these weak ass men (like OP) deserve all this shit. Like, how could you be so fucked over by someone and STILL MAKE EXCUSES FOR THEM. DAMN.
If i had one wish it would be how do cheaters feel when they cheat on their partner dont they feel a bit ashamed or have a emotions since the partner is working while her is fucking with another man
@@Xrk-krx they don't even consider it. When it crosses their minds, they prioritize themselves and dismiss others- a total lack of empathy. Even when they get caught, they aren't immediately upset about cheating, because it was justified to them. They are only upset about getting caught. And in story #2's case, the brother wasn't even upset. If you live your life without consequences, you have no fear.
Normally these stories i frown upon as i'm like "did this REALLY happen?" but in this case i have seen a client had this almost exact scenario, the youngest of 4 siblings, the only man, the only one that was working hard (and i can say this with certainty as part of the job was making sure everything in the administration was working properly) and, while i was only by the tail end of this, i did get to see the consequences of this as he was basically casted aside by her sisters, parents and whatnot, he left the family business and started his own career. Subsequently i also had to quit their family business after a short while as a lot of unethical or downright illegal stuff (for the constrains of accountancy) was taking place and i didn't wanna get caught on that fallout.
Oh yeah, 100% not doubting this. I've seen it happen, too. I was inclined to think the will had been old but the parents talking about it... yeah, what a slap in the face. In fact, this was probably better for OP since it gave him a clean cut and a fresh slate, imagine if they had got the company 50/50 and he would be forced to watch as the brother drains it away bit by bit.
@@fehoobar It's just that A LOT of these stories are fake bullcrap made just so people can get attention and upvotes, but this one situation i've seen something similar unfold, so i can't quite call it fake. You'd be surprised how many of these are actually fake, specially now with tools like CHATGPT which can just assemble you a sad story.
You'd be surprised how common this sort of failure in business is. And it's always that one idiotic family member that overrides everyone - it always baffles me why people allow this to happen.
@@ResidentWeevil2077 Actually not surprised, cuz i have seen it somewhat often, it's so weird seeing that in a lot of family businesses the worst enemy is the family itself considering that the business i talk about, is also a small family business and yet we are fine there is trust and whatnot.
it’s easy to judge story 2’s op for letting too much of his gf’s actions pass, but when you really love someone and they are secretly an experienced manipulator/gaslighter like she was, it’s extremely difficult to see sense in the moment. again, gf was a hell of a heartless gaslighter. hindsight is always 20/20 - as readers who were not in op’s position, were not emotionally invested like he was, were not subjected to live gaslighting like he was, and have all the facts now that it’s all over, it’s easy for us to judge him. but it was likely difficult and scarring to someone who was blind, vulnerable, and clueless in the moment. i feel bad for him, hope he learned a lesson, and wish him healing.
Nah, the Chinese Communist Party has less red flags that the ones being blasted to his face and he ignored them all. The main gaslighter in OP2's life is his own self.
Exactly. Love is REALLY good at blinding people, and the more you think it can't happen to you the more likely it is it will. Not trying to say love is bad ofc but with the wrong players it can be a dangerous game. I hope OP doesn't ever go back to her. She actively denied, guilted, and gaslit him at every turn since they "rekindled their love". A person like that can't EVER be trusted.
He proposed to a girl he had already broken up with. The red flags were all there. He caught her grinding on his brother and she said she’d ser boundaries. This wasn’t the first time he had called them out. And he’s constantly talking about how hot and pretty she is. He was infatuated with her beauty and that’s what blinded him, not his “love” for someone he just reconnected with.
Just for people wondering: Story 1 was a copy-cat story, the person who posted it on reddit copied it from another account, and just changed the beginning. that's why it says, 'i quite before my brother took over', then later complains about said brother treating him while he was his boss. Obviously, these 2 things contradict each other. That is because in the actual events, the brother fired him thinking he could do it all on his own.
@@sarahcooper8227 Go back and relisten, he literally said he didn't appreciate how his brother made his life a living hell when he took over at the company.
They all are copy cat stories. Maybe in the beginning a few were real but I don’t believe any of them now are. They all are the same non of them make sense in the real world.
I can relate to stoey 1. Me and my father started a business from the ground up. I was 23 at the time. I worked hard every day even on weekends. After 5 years it was starting to generate funds. My brother who did nothing except sitting on the couch playing video game was hired and was picked to be sole Air to the business. I did not have anything written saying that i would get it. I quit and after 2 years of failing my father sold it. They tried to blame me but my grand parents tore into them. At the end the asked if my brother Contributed some of his money to the business. What did he do before you made him sole air. After that my father was forced to pay me back. Word of warning, if you ever start a business with family, get it in writing.
Me to but it just sounds completely fake ngl, i mean the fact he didnt even try to smack his brother means hes either the most spineless coward, or its complete bs.
Oh ye. The OP always ignores the red flags and thinks they are an azzhole when nobody in their right mind would do so. Very predictable at this point. The story material is very tired and repetitive.
2nd story: he met her partying hard with his brother, she was twerking on him, she was sneaking around with him, and that episode rubbing ice cream off of her lips was cringe and glaringly obvious; none of this constitutes cheating but if they didn't make it apparent. I feel like he watched "Jane the Virgin" and approached her with that expectation so she played the game and he got duped. I hate to sound cynical, but I've seen it happen multiple times before where ppl will make ignorant judgements about a person and the person goes along with it to "game" the one making the judgement. She wasn't "caught up" in this, she was full-on for an extended time with the sneaking around and having s*x with the brother from the start. Hate to say it, but OP seemed like a sucker to be licked
Yep, the way he kept saying it was beautiful and she was beautiful was so disjointed from the reality he talked about that i got a whiplash. My guy had been cock blocked from the start but was too simp to see it. He fell for her face and kept running forward untill reality had to bitch slap him conscious. He shouldda gotten the hint when he saw her flirting with his brother at the party where they met again bruhh
I mean seriously who TF thinks " I gotta teach my irresponsible kids how to be responsible and a functional adult so I am going to hand him the keys of the companies because I expect him to grow into the role."
4:59 aside from having to look for a new job, bankruptcy won't effect the employees in the slightest. Their credit won't be touched, they don't have money invested into the company. The only ones that will be effected long term are your brother, the board, and other people with stocks in the business. Don't feel bad
Bruh in story two it's apparent she's into his brother - let her go, red flags don't stop being red flags because the person is super duper attractive. Also guys that tough mucho BS is not worth a criminal record. You'd be surprised how difficult life becomes.
@@lewid019 I know, I’m far from being the favorite daughter, but still. I can’t wrap my mind around the idea of leaving the family business to a son he knew was incompetent, when he had a perfectly capable child. How can someone who’s smart enough to grow a company like that can also be dumb enough to pull something like this. Parents who have a golden child really are the weirdest people. 🤨
@@Brasileirale If he's dead and gone, I guess it really doesn't matter to him. Also given the massive inconsistencies in the story I'm guessing story 1 is a complete fabrication anyway.
@@Brasileirale Something tells me the mother had something to do with this. Altering the will when the father was in his last few months when he was not exactly in the right mind, cause like you said, it makes no sense for a business owner to not make the responsible son the heir. It may sound shocking but I’ve lost count how many times I’ve seen this dynamic in families, the mothers always coddling the useless youngest son and always wanting to look out for them and expecting the elder son to deal with his bs. Infact this exact same issue happened in my country where a legendary battle took place in court because after the father’s death the mother decided to favour her useless younger son, giving him the better of their huge family business over their competent older son. It’s very interesting and almost eerily similar to what happened in story 1
Imagine a red flag, now imagine that red flag, flying high atatched to a red poll, now imagine a row of red flags flying high on red polls and some drunk guy running face first in to every single one of them, sometimes twice! while screaming yup this is perfecly nornal and fine! That's story number 2.
No. The entire family are the real villains None of them are thinking of the employees future. Just themselves - that's not responsible business stewardship whatever family foibles exist. OP is literally going full sociopath mode while talking about the company employees being made redundant as if the brother nosediving the company is far more important than dozens of people being out of work. The mother is just as bad too, because she knew OP was ploughing his heart and soul into a company he wasn't going to inherit, instead of telling him to go and start his own thing. It also doesn't even make sense to just hand the entire company over to someone who has no experience with it, let alone willingness to work on it. Even if the OP was supposed to be the CEO, at the end of the day all his hard work was going to end up giving most of that profit to the owner, his brother. What kind of bats**t person would believe that the OP would stick around for that? I know that the father supposedly has brain damage, so that gives him an excuse - but what's the mothers excuse? It just doesn't add up at all - just comically fake.
In story 2 John got the best deal out of them all, he got to bang his brother's fiancée before he did, did all this on a closed manner and then immediately got himself out of the situation when shit hitted the fan and now he will live the rest of his life satisfied

In story 2, OP's fiancee was actually cheating on his brother, and the whole relationship was a false pretense... every escalation of the relationship was just another step in the process of keeping the lie going...
@@joaop4585pretty sure it was cause he never had any hard evidence up until the pregnancy test in the trashbin, there was hints and slight implications before then, but no actual proof till the ending which finally gave him 100% confirmation
Regarding story 2 my friend had his fiancée cheat on him with his cousin. I don't know for sure what happened but his cousin has been missing since 3 weeks after his fiancées cheating came to light. And his fiancée died in a "freak car accident" and my friend has never been charged.
Story 1: The time for your dad to teach your brother responsibility was when he was growing up, but apparently the golden child gets what he wants and your parents assumed as long as the responsible kid is around, golden boy will be ok . I would be dancing to the news that the golden child failed. Your parents were/are both idiots.
You would be surprised how often smart people can neglect basic things about raising their children. My dad was the same. Literally waited until I was pushing 18 mere months before I was set to go to university to insist I get a summer job. Before that I wasn't even expected to do basic household chores like putting the bins out or doing the dishes. I can't blame my dad entirely, i was always quite lazy - but the way my dad described his childhood with a paper round and god knows what else before he left school you would think he would have been more active in pushing me to establish a work ethic as young as possible. And yet - nothing at all. Didn't even display interest in my schooling until I was past 16 in my final 2 years - and even then only because I got caught skipping classes listening to the juke box in a local pub. Even then, nothing at all until that last summer. People can get way up their own azz with their own self indulgence and not think about the basics when it could have helped, only to realise their mistakes far too late and blame it on everyone but themselves.
@@faithlesshound5621 Yeah but they don't think the politicians are bad but vote for them anyway in the hopes of "fixing" them. People actually believe politicians like Biden are competent, good-meaning people. Sad reality.
I’ve heard a lot of reddit cheating stories, but story 2 just made my heart race and blood boil in a bad way. I know from personal experience that people who were raised in extremely religious/conservative families are not to be trusted with “morals” and good judgement from the outset. These people had to learn to become master liars and manipulators in order to combat the ostracizing environment they lived in and probably see hypocrisy as a means to an end. I’m not saying religious people or conservatives are automatically bad, but I am saying be wary of people who grew up in any environment where they had to lie all the time to maintain their mental health and sanity. Compared to others, they have far more internal conflict between who they want to appear as and what they want to do, and sexual repression often plays a role. My ex was one such person. Our mutual friends were later outraged to hear how many lies she had told me over the two years we knew each other. After the breakup, I had told them stories of our many conversations and they raised multiple contradictions. That was almost 15 years ago. No clue what she’s up to now, but I do hope she’s learned to be better. I’m married to a wonderful woman now.
It makes my blood boil for a different reason. I disagree with everything you said about religious people, but its clear you were hurt by people who claimed to be religious. Emphasis on claimed. It makes my blood boil cause it makes religious people look bad when in reality the religious person was the girl's mother, not her. If she WAS religious, she wouldn't be cheating on her fiance.
@@TheSergio1021 I already made it clear that I have no issue with religious people in general, and good morals aren’t exclusive to any one faith or lack thereof. My ex never claimed to be religious either and I didn’t say she was. However, she did have extremely religious parents who controlled many aspects of her life, and so she had learned to be a masterful liar as a means to combat her suffocating home life. I explicitly stated to be wary of people who grew up in similar environments, not people who simply claim to be religious.
Story 1 Well OP dad was such a coward, he couldn't get his son working on whn he is alive to see if he can handling it... Took OP for granted.. they didn't even discuss it with OP... And end up ruining the family business for their own selfishness. Good thing OP didn't stand for it, else she be left to pickup the piece and mess her brother made
Story 2: OP really needs to go get his mental state checked out. He just simped for her right out of the gate. There were so many flags saying that She and his brother were already in the relationship, and he didn't even stop to think that they were just humoring him.
I’ll be honest, depending on the actual situation, I don’t necessarily blame the brother: if my parent forced me to take over a business I had already said I didn’t want anything to do with, passing over a sibling that was already running it well and happy in the role just to ‘teach me responsibility’, I’d be tempted to deliberately tank it. It wasn’t my dream to run a business. I’d probably have just said no, the employees that work there don’t deserve their lives upheaved for petty revenge against someone who was literally dead, but the temptation to destroy the legacy would definitely be there.
Story one Seriously? They forced the working brother to teach the lazy brother about responsibility? How about you guys (parents and maybe grandparents) have taught that? Lazy parents too
tbh that wasn't the worst of it. The will basically named the useless brother the sole inheritor. Sothey were basically saying "teach him, he will take most of the financial benefit and can fire you at any time". No sane person with an ounce of self respect would stay in that situation.
really appreciate the effort you put into this video, it’s very moving and definitely highlights a tough situation. but honestly, I can't help but wonder if there were signs of trouble earlier that could've been addressed differently. sometimes, people place too much trust in family, and maybe that's where things went wrong? just a thought!
Story 1: Fake story. Why? 1. So you found out about the will last month and suddenly it's been 6 months since your bro took over. 2. So you left the company before your bro took over and then you say that he made your life a living hell while you were in the company. How does that work?
I've unsubscribed to many reddit story channels because either they share the same story at the same time or make chat gpt create theses fake stories... I guess finding new reddit post isn't that easy anymore or it's getting dry
found out in will 1month after death. as someone who has dealt with death of their father, it can take time to get to such things with all the other arrangments to be taken care of he thought about it for a while even after it is found will still has to be probated before it takes effect brother has to quit whatever other job he has and move if necessary to come back and oversee to "start work" even if he has been legal owner for months does not mean he work 'on' company in that time bro made time terrible: could be referring to either the interlude where bro was 'remote' owner or when they were younger and dad had the health problem or both.
dude John should be asked child support ffs. Why are they letting him slide? Story 2 was way too frustrating. On the bright side, John will never find happiness in his life if he lives from people to people.
I hope everyone heals in that second story and that John gets a karmic back hand so powerful one might think it was Death Karma and God himself combining their strength into 1 elegant painful strike.
Story 1: OP has a point. It’s not about the money. He basically built the company, stayed loyal, and kept it alive for decades. The slap to the face when the brother who had contributed nothing to the business was given full control, that’s a spit in his face. His father would be rolling in his grave. The betrayal of his mother who knew about it and said nothing until it was done, that’s damaging.
OP2 is genuinely delusional. Your girl was giving a lap dance to your brother, and he was feeling her up. You, on the other hand, were excited to make out with her. Just take the L and move on. Fairy tales aren't real life. Instead, you have a bastard nephew, the woman who hurt you, and your piece of garbage brother in your life forever. Move away if you want. They're still part of your family.
Story 2: that shit happen to my friend /co worker, fck He didn't hold back. I won't lie he beat his brother and fiance, both got sooo beaten that her ex got an abortion (4 months of pregnancy) and his brother lost his eye... He could evade all the guilt because told the officers "my brother attack her and he react like that" btw he was a marine... Good guy and the best friend you can have but never betray him...if he let me I post his history in reddit.
Story 1: Okay, OP stated that in the accident, his father got brain damage. Even if the will had been written up years in advance, he was in no position (mentally) to update it, let alone write it up recently. And then OP described his dad as being "sick" at the point where the sons were needed to run the company, contrary to what he said before. Idk, boyos, something about this story doesn't add up... Story 2: WHAT IS WITH ALL THE CHEATING STORIES?!?!
Story 2 I mean how many red flags they need before someone starts thinking from the head not from the pants... Few kisses and he thought he got the world 😅 He even got an after party surprise too... She would get married and slide this kids as his own. Until thy get caught later
I really appreciate the effort and vulnerability you shared in this video. It's not easy to open up about such personal struggles. However, I can't help but wonder if spending so many years trying to save the business was worth it in the end. Sometimes letting go and moving on could've led to new opportunities. What do you all think?
I'm just here laughibg my butt off to the second story, my man couldn't even get his timing right XD He'd say "all this happened 4 years ago" and a minute later say that the reason it took him a month to update was because things were hard and he was not doing well, like bruh
OP missed a HUGE Opportunity and Lesson! And squandered HIS inheritance. OP’s dad just wanted both to learn humility. Everyone knew OP was qualified, he could take it to the next level. But he wasn’t humble. He missed the point, and missed out on a blessing 😔
Just how spineless can this op be? Sure the lip thing was border line crossing but the lap dance was definitely on sight and breakup THAN HE WENT THROUGH THR MARRIAGE
Story 2: I actually don't feel the brother is the worse person. From Op description, the brother was manipulated by the GF too. Everyone seem to know where the brother stood in this situation. Op and him were not close, brother was wild, and from most of what Op said it was his gf lying about the relationship. Not sure why Op had higher expectations for the brother and labeled him the villain here. If anything brother saved Op from trifling gf.
@rebeccawells1580 I arrived there because expecting someone to automatically change for the better, like this is a movie, is a fantasy. The brother's character doesn't seem poor to begin with. There is really nothing in this story that would make me believe that the brother was ever an empathetic person. So, knowing that, Op should believe what the brother showed him. Like on the couch and the lap dance. As far as the brother and the gf goes, gf is worse. He slept with her because he was always sleeping with her since before Op arrived back into the picture. Again with the brother's character he was under no moral obligation to tell Op they were sleeping together, friends with benefits. Her on the other hand intentionally went after Op to make her FWB jealous. And when she realized she would only have that type of relationship with brother, she got desperate and tried to baby trap. She is worse than the brother. I willing to guess she actually left test out for Op to find on purpose to force brother's hand.
I dont know. Douchebag with no remorse sleeps with his brother's fiancee whom is the girl of his dreams and lying to him about it, knocking her up, never apologizing, then dipping is not what I would call "saving op"
"And what did you ever give up?" "I have EVERYTHING my while live/" "You died in some hedonistic bender/" "I'm not talking about my death I'm talking about MY LIFE. I have my WHILE LIFE..."
this video is super well done and really captures the emotional turmoil of running a family business. however, i can't help but wonder if relying too much on family in business can lead to these kinds of betrayals. sometimes, maybe a more professional approach could have saved the situation. what do you all think?
story one is crazy. i understand that he should have been reps pestés and the CEO, but at the time when his brother called him i think he should have given some advice at least one more time to help all the employees that worked so hard to make a living. i hope he's hiring those same ppl in his new company. also, this is the only believable reddit story i've ever heard.
It just came across my mind on a possible situation that could happen. Where a brother introduce his gf to his family and his plan to engage. Then a brother would meet his gf and dinner goes on. Then the brother pull his brother away to tell him that he had slept with his gf on the past as they met on a club. If youre their family what do you think? Should they continue the relationship? As gf did not cheat and it was in the past?
I'm honestly sad about the family business going under in story 1. Like, it's 100% not ops fault, but still I know what it's like to have something that's been in your family for generations and then lose it. Mine wasn't a company, so I imagine that can sting even worse. It's a shame his brother couldn't look past his own pride to give the company to op. If he could have, I'm sure he could have saved everything as he seems extremely competent.
Way to demoralize a person by rewarding their efforts with a slap in the face. And handing the company to an irresponsible person is as good as shutting it down yourself.
So are we just gonna ignore the fact that story 1 OP basically destroyed a whole company’s worth of people’s jobs? Like he cost everyone who worked for his father their jobs just to “teach his brother a lesson” because his ego couldn’t take working for his brother. That’s honestly one of the most selfish things I have ever seen someone do on this site.
I wonder if the great grandfather of story 1 was watching with a disapproving expression and with commented either That he would have done the same as the poster Or be annoyed he didn't come in to save the business in the 11th hour.
Yeah second story is obviously fake (and repeated from other channels that did this as well), the fluttery language and adjectives added makes this fan fiction entertaining but not real.
Story 2. She was a party girl and he was surprised that ahe partied ans cheated? Althoigh the fact that it was all a ploy to get his brother must have been gut wrenching, but he could have removed himself from it... if he had a spine and used his brain a little earlier 😅
Story 2, Op at this point deserved it for letting it go for so long. I really feel for him but damn man. Those flags were Crimson. The lip wipe and lap dance was just disrespectful
The point where I stopped believing this was a real story: Early on he says he quit before his brother started with the company. Later on he says, "I thought back to how he made my life a living hell when I worked for the company." So did you actually quit before he took over, or did he make your life a living hell, and for how long? Because the entire story is about how you quit before he took over, he hired his friends and they failed? Well it's at least a great creative writing project.
That grandfather must be rolling in his grave knowing what his incompetent son did
You know the grandfther was ripping his son a new one while they just watch the family business burn
didn't he have brain damage lmao.
@@Yue_JinThis likely has less to do with the brain damage and more the fact that the brother was probably the favorite. @@Best-Human he ate him

Yeah if a sibling betrayed me like that, I would cripple them. If I broke up with my girlfriend and then a sibling swooped in and started dating her, I would be disgusted in my sibling but I wouldn't do anything unless I learned they were fooling around while we were together.
"We want your brother to inherit the business because we think it'll help teach him responsibility."
Translation: "We as parents failed to discipline him and instill responsibility as we should have.
And we didn't even ask you, but you'll follow along. Because thats what you do, right?
Yep. Like in what world did they believe giving the kid who they themselves admitted couldn't handle responsibility end well. It would of been much better to give him a small but notabke stake in the company (like 10% or something) but make a term of his inheritance that he needs to work within the company for X number of years with good performance
If someone needs to be made aware of their responsibilities, it is because they were not ready for a position of high responsibility.
If not, the mom convinced the dad to put the son as ininheriter of the company
I mean story 2.....the moment you see your girl giving another guy a Lap dance you can just assume she's cheating with him or considering it.
"His hands were touching her ass..." that's not even a redflag, that's a deal breaker
op should start his own buisiness with the lost clients
that is what i was thinking
he did
@@RandoWisLuL he did
I was thinking the same thing!!
And the employees....I feel bad for them.
Too much potential liability with that. Even if it's not illegal it's looks fishy enough to be sued about it. Not worth the trouble
I remember this story from another Reddit T2S video, and the OP had commented that this wasn't the first child out of wedlock his brother had. His parents forgave that because the first was wasn't religious, so they used that as an excuse to forgive him.
Shows you that religion is only a scapegoat used by good and bad people.
His story was so wild though… he met ex again and without dating he went straight to asking her to marry him… this whole time they had never been intimate… if that story is true it’s just another proof how being radically religious fucks things up
@@giulia6344 He wasn't the religious one though
$10 this was the mother's idea and they change the will since probably the father left everything to OP instead.
I suppose the employees may or may not be alright with their work experience.
Of course you know where it's going.
I've seen the exact same story with slight variations at least 4 times already on this channel.
John is the person who never get punch in the face ...that's why.
Yup seen it happening on a few occasions
it’s easy to judge story 2’s op for letting too much of his gf’s actions pass, but when you really love someone and they are secretly an experienced manipulator/gaslighter like she was, it’s extremely difficult to see sense in the moment. again, gf was a hell of a heartless gaslighter. hindsight is always 20/20 - as readers who were not in op’s position, were not emotionally invested like he was, were not subjected to live gaslighting like he was, and have all the facts now that it’s all over, it’s easy for us to judge him. but it was likely difficult and scarring to someone who was blind, vulnerable, and clueless in the moment.
i feel bad for him, hope he learned a lesson, and wish him healing.
I mean, normally I would agree with you, but in a bikini grinding on your brother (or any other man)? nah bro that's obvious
Every step Op2 took was crazy bruh.
He sensed everything and chose to ignore it. SIMP behavior
You misheard, he was mad about how his brother was treating him when he offered him advice after he quit.
Seriously, story 2 is so frustrating because OP ignores all the red flags. I hope it's fake.
the icing on the cake was nothing happened to John
Me to but it just sounds completely fake ngl, i mean the fact he didnt even try to smack his brother means hes either the most spineless coward, or its complete bs.
Oh ye.
The OP always ignores the red flags and thinks they are an azzhole when nobody in their right mind would do so.
Very predictable at this point.
The story material is very tired and repetitive.
Well even if it is fake , people like that do walk this earth
he's a doormat, he doesn't have the balls to stand up for himself.
2nd story ~ Never go back with a woman you break up with.
Why would the father possibly leave the company to a deadbeat son? I can’t believe this
You'd be surprised with golden children
Why leave it to only one son regardless of who is doing the work?
Imagine a red flag, now imagine that red flag, flying high atatched to a red poll, now imagine a row of red flags flying high on red polls and some drunk guy running face first in to every single one of them, sometimes twice! while screaming yup this is perfecly nornal and fine! That's story number 2.
Story one: the real villains of the story are the parents. The brother would learn by working under OP not the other way. They are both terrible
No.
The entire family are the real villains
None of them are thinking of the employees future.
Exactly and even if this is a multiple-guilt situation, i dont really understand how s1mp-boy stayed for so much time
How much of a doormat cck do you need to be to not notice the 304 you gonna marry?

I don't know for sure what happened but his cousin has been missing since 3 weeks after his fiancées cheating came to light.
And his fiancée died in a "freak car accident" and my friend has never been charged.

Story 2: OP should have done something to his Scumbag brother.
Like what?
John will get his karma. He'll cheat with somebody he really should have left alone.
"My brother has made my life a living hell when I was working at the company" "I quit before my brother started work" uhm..? AI forgot something?
Imagine thinking handing an entire company and dozens of people's livelihood to someone irresponsible will turn them around. What were they thinking?
Entire nations do the same thing. Why hand the top job to Silvio Berlusconi, Rodrigo Duterte, Boris Johnson or Donald Trump?
@@faithlesshound5621 Yeah but they don't think the politicians are bad but vote for them anyway in the hopes of "fixing" them. People actually believe politicians like Biden are competent, good-meaning people. Sad reality.
They weren't thinking anything because they are figments of a bad writers lackwit imagination.
YTA he never cared about the company. Just his big ass ego.
Story 1
Well OP dad was such a coward, he couldn't get his son working on whn he is alive to see if he can handling it...
Op actually reads like he might be of diminished capacity, so you're right, they might have just been humoring the "special" brother.
Story #2: Dang Dude!! Are you color blind? You couldn't see all those red flags?
I’ll be honest, depending on the actual situation, I don’t necessarily blame the brother: if my parent forced me to take over a business I had already said I didn’t want anything to do with, passing over a sibling that was already running it well and happy in the role just to ‘teach me responsibility’, I’d be tempted to deliberately tank it. It wasn’t my dream to run a business. I’d probably have just said no, the employees that work there don’t deserve their lives upheaved for petty revenge against someone who was literally dead, but the temptation to destroy the legacy would definitely be there.
you know this is fake because it is done in "updates" and you know that reddit would have told him the truth before the first update.
Story one
Seriously? They forced the working brother to teach the lazy brother about responsibility? How about you guys (parents and maybe grandparents) have taught that? Lazy parents too
I have a question...do west also give most inheritance to their son over their daughter...?
@@tonuahmed4227it depends on some factors, but yeah, men tend to be the heirs over women
tbh that wasn't the worst of it.
The will basically named the useless brother the sole inheritor.
Sothey were basically saying "teach him, he will take most of the financial benefit and can fire you at any time".
No sane person with an ounce of self respect would stay in that situation.
So horrible for the children born into these situations. They will have a fucked up childhood and grow up to be similarly dysfunctional people.
Lmao Do best friends give each other lap dance? 😂😂😂 I can't believe that OP was gaslighted into thinking he was just overthinking.
really appreciate the effort you put into this video, it’s very moving and definitely highlights a tough situation. but honestly, I can't help but wonder if there were signs of trouble earlier that could've been addressed differently. sometimes, people place too much trust in family, and maybe that's where things went wrong? just a thought!
While story 2 definitely sounds fake, it most definitely happens in real life
Story 1: Fake story. Why?
I guess finding new reddit post isn't that easy anymore or it's getting dry
found out in will 1month after death. as someone who has dealt with death of their father, it can take time to get to such things with all the other arrangments to be taken care of
he thought about it for a while
even after it is found will still has to be probated before it takes effect
brother has to quit whatever other job he has and move if necessary to come back and oversee to "start work" even if he has been legal owner for months does not mean he work 'on' company in that time
bro made time terrible: could be referring to either the interlude where bro was 'remote' owner or when they were younger and dad had the health problem or both.
I guess people are using ChapGPT to create stories and post them in Reddit.
It's always funny to see people thinking everything is fake when reality is more absurd than fiction lmao i guess wisdom is still rare.
@@YRAT-mr8jqbro you cant expect any of these stories to be real 💀

I felt so bad for the guy in the 2nd story. His brother has it coming
2nd story, what a weak boy. Op shouldn't have walked away till he gave that brother those Hands!
He said I very weirdly 7:11
Story 1, I would give some tips to the employees just to help them out. But I wouldn’t shame OP for his choice at all.
Story 1. The father asked the mother what she thought about it and she agreed bso both parents screwed him over
great father /s

Story 2
I mean how many red flags they need before someone starts thinking from the head not from the pants... Few kisses and he thought he got the world 😅
He even got an after party surprise too...
The first story you can definitely tell the mom favorite was the brother she definitely had a part to play in it.
“Its not about the money its about sending a message” ahh story
I'm just here laughibg my butt off to the second story, my man couldn't even get his timing right XD He'd say "all this happened 4 years ago" and a minute later say that the reason it took him a month to update was because things were hard and he was not doing well, like bruh
On the first story, op blaming wrong person, his father and mother is the main culprit, not recognising his hard work or giving him what he deserve.
Now the story of a family that lost everything, and the one son who had to keep them all together.
I disagree
How do you even come to this conclusion? They’re both in the wrong, not one worse than they other, their actions were abysmal.
Dude, you're still justifying a backstabbing son of a bitch.
What the hell?
I dont know. Douchebag with no remorse sleeps with his brother's fiancee whom is the girl of his dreams and lying to him about it, knocking her up, never apologizing, then dipping is not what I would call "saving op"
the dad was truly brain damaged to toss his pearls to pigs.
I do feel bad for the employees who must have lost their jobs though... (not the ones the brother hired)
Imagine marrying someone that's extremely obviously cheating and you've caught her doing it too.
"And what did you ever give up?"
"I have EVERYTHING my while live/"
"You died in some hedonistic bender/"
"I'm not talking about my death I'm talking about MY LIFE. I have my WHILE LIFE..."
The first story sounds like a situation that could happen in a similar manner to what Disney has done these last few years.
this video is super well done and really captures the emotional turmoil of running a family business. however, i can't help but wonder if relying too much on family in business can lead to these kinds of betrayals. sometimes, maybe a more professional approach could have saved the situation. what do you all think?
story one is crazy. i understand that he should have been reps pestés and the CEO, but at the time when his brother called him i think he should have given some advice at least one more time to help all the employees that worked so hard to make a living. i hope he's hiring those same ppl in his new company. also, this is the only believable reddit story i've ever heard.
story 2 response... thats crazy how the parents gave selena a house and money but the brother didnt contribute to that :O
😂😂😂 the grandfather is rolling over the father in his grave
Lmao arrested development vibes
If you want to teach someone responsibility you get them a pet... you don't give them the family business.
Lmao the second story is like why don’t u just turn the story around, what if i do that to my friend? What will she said
with story one this is arrested development all over again
Way to demoralize a person by rewarding their efforts with a slap in the face. And handing the company to an irresponsible person is as good as shutting it down yourself.
So are we just gonna ignore the fact that story 1 OP basically destroyed a whole company’s worth of people’s jobs? Like he cost everyone who worked for his father their jobs just to “teach his brother a lesson” because his ego couldn’t take working for his brother. That’s honestly one of the most selfish things I have ever seen someone do on this site.
Story 2. Op should've seen the signs waaaaaaaay earlier. They were clearly all there...
Story one is what i call a "Juckrat Idea"
I wonder if the great grandfather of story 1 was watching with a disapproving expression and with commented either
That he would have done the same as the poster
Or be annoyed he didn't come in to save the business in the 11th hour.
Yeah second story is obviously fake (and repeated from other channels that did this as well), the fluttery language and adjectives added makes this fan fiction entertaining but not real.
Yeah soon many red flags was ignored its so bizarre now the authenticity is doubtful
Story 2: That would be one dead brother.
Why tf would the father give the company to the lazy brother who has zero interest in running the business!?!?
Maybe make your company somewhat of a spiritual successor to your great grandfather's company
They could have just made up a position in the company and gave it to the brother and made op the owner
i mean the dad’s brain damage is what probably caused him to do that
1) OP could have sued his brother instead of stepping down.
Story 2. She was a party girl and he was surprised that ahe partied ans cheated? Althoigh the fact that it was all a ploy to get his brother must have been gut wrenching, but he could have removed himself from it... if he had a spine and used his brain a little earlier 😅
I hate how first story ended like a LinkedIn post.
Story 2, Op at this point deserved it for letting it go for so long. I really feel for him but damn man. Those flags were Crimson. The lip wipe and lap dance was just disrespectful
When you're in love flags don't look red and op was in love hard.
@@razorflossrazor2937 I know that's true. But, it got to a point that he was just being willfully ignorant
Feels like your dad was too far gone should have made OP owner and brother employee
Kind of wished the first guy would have bought the company for dirt cheap then turned it around...
