Really enjoying this series Paul! This makes me think of what he tried to do with the later Jam tours, introducing new acts to his audience (Bananarama, etc). Whereas then the acts were subjected to chanting and jeers from the audience, I believe his audience is now mature enough to give new acts a chance. Well done, sir! Much love and respect from the USA.

You're right Jeffrey but unfortunately a lot of Jam fans haven't matured and as far as they are concerned there isn't any other music apart from The Jam and I have seen the proof on many occasions.

Listening to the album Saturns Pattern this morning, then jumped off that to The Jam Live at the 100 Club, then The
Changingman, and from that to Gil Scott Heron's 'Pieces of A Man'.
It was a morning well spent.

It's alright Gareth, I've heard Paul takes his guitars to the music shop in Spencer's Market for any repairs or to get them set up ! Up the Telford Mods. 🌐🇬🇧🛵⚽️🍻

Paul, really hope you read this. Now is the time to bring out the old you and sing political songs. The world has turned to shite and no one is doing anything about it. The system is simply distracting us by Brexit, voting and general bollocks. I know you are aware and awoke than most. We need you to raise the peoples spirit.

I was thinking exactly the same thing about an hour before I saw this .Do you think that the new musicians are just too stupid to write anything political or that they just don't care .

    • @bartlemy

@@Mod-rw9cw both I'd say. Paul Weller was the only one with enough courage to tell it as it is. He saw right through the LiveAid bs. Walls Come Tumbling Down and The Lodgers were my favourite wake up tracks. Whole Point of No Return should be our anthem. Respect to you if you feel the same...

Mod 66 there are a lot of political artists at the moment but they’re either not as big as the jam were in their day or they’re more rap oriented

@@Mod-rw9cw There is much political music out there but it may not be to your taste - take Stormzy for example - he has both commercial and 'political' work - maybe need to cast your net wider.
