Thanks to Drumeo you have now became truly my favorite drummer, love your work, actually you changed my whole way of thinking about drums loving how creative you can be the simplest of grooves! I always thought I couldn't groove (as I am terrible dancer lol) but then I found you and all of that changed! Thanks for the amazing addition to the world of music!
+Stefano Borgognoni Check out Benny's Solo from the song "Greb Fruit" from his DVD Language of Drumming, it's the best Solo I've ever seen, truly. And also since you are there, watch and practice the whole DVD and you'll become a much better drummer :)
+Iván Chocrón I have been following him on YT for 10 years. He sounds better than drummers who exceed him. And he out grooves every body. BTW...remove the groove from parts of this and you have Thrak period King Crimson...lol.
wow the masterful, space-filling grooves beginning at 3:15 really blew my mind. Greb is so musical, turning his kit into a full song. Love his restraint and equally, aggressiveness during parts of this section. Incredible video all around!!! Thank You!!!!
The way you think through the drums is freaking awesome, man!! Congratulations, bro. You made it great! Btw, you became one of my favorite drummers of nowadays to me. Jah bless!!
Benny Greb is a fantastic drummer and my all time hero, a true groove monster! However sometimes regarding to the sound, i miss a totally unique drum sound instead of the standard mix :-)
Uno de los bateristas que mas admiro benny greb todo un profesional me llama la atencion la forma como aprovecha todo el recurso externo de la bateria referente ala carcasa woooow increible
As GERMAN American proud to say this proves the 30s were a minor set back , and yes we will take over the funk and everything once traditionally " american " so sit back enjoy FRANK ITT as well , German bass player extraordinaire. time to wake up and smell the sauerkraut .
Hey Benny, I really admire you and learn a lot but I can't seem to grasp how to coordinate my hands and feet. In such a way that I can keep time with my left foot and and do crazy off beat and weird timing things with my hands and bass drum(right foot) can you help me?
That's my question, just before the last solo part, I feel like there's one fourth note missing... Can't get the right answer, is it on purpose or mistake
+Timothy Blake both snares are his signature snares from sonor, you can find them on their website. I wanna say his rack tom is a 10x10? Floor looks to be a 16x16 and the bass drum looks like a 20x18. I think you can find his drum kit set up on the sonor site. As far as wood type you'd want to go to the sonor page and look for the kit that looks like the one in this vid but I wanna say its birch. Hope this help dude 👍🏻
Sergio Bello The trash hat is his signature stack cymbal that he isn't using in this vid. The thing mentioned in the above two comments is the crash on his left on top of the bottom of said trash hat.
***** I love that you take the time to answer some of your fans questions, that's amazing, and as for the recording/performance, quite absolutely brilliant as always Benny.
The band is awesome, the guitarist and keyboardist take a turn to play bass line. (oops, not in this song, :) ) The keyboardist using his left synth for bass line, whilst the guitarist using (maybe) octave pedal.
"What's this song called?"
"Next question."
"Okay, what song will be played afterwards?"
"Good question."
What I love about Benny greb, it's his solos, he doesn't focus in speed or destroying the toms, he just plays straight groove
at least one international comment thanks
Jeez. These guys are incredible. Benny gives me hope for the future of humanity.

Every time you hit the floor tom I feel like I'm getting a hug, brilliant sound!
Lol. That's a funny way of putting it. I like that.
My inspiration ❤️❤️🥰lots of love from India 😁.Maestro hatts off to you 🤠
This took me from 3rd floor straight to 12th floor without me even noticing!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Benny Greb is a beast... The groove master. This should be called no question. He is one of the cleanest drummers.

***** Like the drum sound on his Brass Band album? I reckon that had a good bit of life to it.
The left hand bass keyboard reminds me of Riders on the Storm
My respect!
saludos desde Venezuela
Excelente Vídeo, abraços.
Esperamos sua visita no Brasil.
Perfect...
Hey, I wanna listen to that song with the Bill O'Reilly " We are going live" sample. Where can I find it? Does anybody know?
Großartiger Song! Version 2.0! :-)
I love you massive fan
They need to pay the engineer more. Superb recording.
I'd really love to know the sizes of the kick and floor tom. Anybody?
Uno de los bateristas que mas admiro benny greb todo un profesional me llama la atencion la forma como aprovecha todo el recurso externo de la bateria referente ala carcasa woooow increible

It`s so obvious how you pay attention to detail.
Omg... Who is the keyboard player?! He is freaking good!
Nick Ess That's Kit Downes, he's a monster
As GERMAN American proud to say this proves the 30s were a minor set back , and yes we will take over the funk and everything once traditionally " american " so sit back enjoy FRANK ITT as well , German bass player extraordinaire. time to wake up and smell the sauerkraut .
Wow.
0:26 where is the bassist? oh the left hand of keyboardist, wow...

Hey Benny, I would like to purchase this DVD, but I live in North America. Is it available in the U.S.? Thank you in advance.
Can someone tell me the sizes of his drum configuration here please? Especially the bass drum and toms. Thank you!

Benny Greb Style!!!!
boooooom. thats some good fuckin groovin stuff. who needs blasts when you got polys.
klar ist subjektiv...muß aber sagen, dass mir die MP-version mit kit downes (so wie hier) besser gefällt. waren soundmässig mehr optionen offen !
It's TL filter china under the crash, isnt it?
K17ten no , its the bottom cymbal of my Meinl GenX TrashHats
***** That is what are you hitting using the right hand since 1:30?
Sergio Bello The trash hat is his signature stack cymbal that he isn't using in this vid. The thing mentioned in the above two comments is the crash on his left on top of the bottom of said trash hat.
***** I love that you take the time to answer some of your fans questions, that's amazing, and as for the recording/performance, quite absolutely brilliant as always Benny.
+Sergio Bello I think those are some small splash cymbals stacked like hi hats
Does anybody know what kind of stack is that? (the little one)
Alexandru Badea it's a couple 8" splash cymbals mounted as a hi hat.
Benny's lick at 5:35 is genius!
i really like benny's sound :P :)
❤❤❤
Can I get the sheet music for the drums anywhere? For free preferably.
+TheSierrazulu i don't think he wrote a drum chart for this. This a jam song man lol.
+Jordan Johnson Pity
Amanda Paterson Learn it by ear man.
The band is awesome, the guitarist and keyboardist take a turn to play bass line. (oops, not in this song, :) )
The keyboardist using his left synth for bass line, whilst the guitarist using (maybe) octave pedal.
Hey Benny amazing seeing you at the Sonor factory in 2012!! Is that a 20" bass drum you are playing here?
Manny Bamberg Yes sir. 10 and 16 toms (vintage beech shells) and a 20" bass drum, same shell config (I think).
My goodness...this piece is so tasteful that my organs feel like they're being shoveled
does anyone know what kit he is using
Очень Круто !!!
🔥
❤
3:46 is just fire lol
