Crazy how they changed the announcer after 16 years. The X/ACE announcer has been around longer than both the 1st-5th mix and MAX/EXTREME announcers COMBINED
They’re going to improve the interface. Maybe have stock videos for songs without unique bgas. But where it matters is how the game plays and this is an improvement that needed to be addressed day one. The new speed options and mods are a welcome addition. The interface of the gameplay works right now as what you do in this game is focus on the notes, not look at videos or ugly PS2 assets like the old dancing characters and uglier 3D backgrounds.
@@jasonmartinez5116 Of course it will get better. This game will balloon to well over 100 new songs and get improvements to UI functionality. New unlock events, etc. This is just day one of the game it's got more in store.

I rather have the announcer turned off. Hes mad annoying. I want to hear the song, not him. In Ddr Max and ddr extreme you were able to turn him off
It wasn't shown on this video, but the BPM display on the song selection shows 100-600 now.

This is such a sad downgrade for DDR. Here’s hoping they hear the feedback loud and clear and improve the interface and announcer.
