This made me cry and I don't even know why. Like she's trying to comfort you for existing in a world where feelings are not being respected. I love Bjork
Everyone always says Bjork isn't of this world, but I'd contend she's the closest to the mother earth as any human could possibly be. She's like seafoam, like volcanic ash, like a burst of lava. She feels unabashedly and vibrantly - with all of the sincerity of innocence, without losing the primal heat. It's reflected in the way she moves, her vocal inflections, her face, her lyrics. I feel unbelievably lucky to be alive during the same time as this incredible artist, and the incredible people who help bring her work into visual reality.
Gnawing in the put of my green-light windshield leaf, the stroboscopic lament of teased fish scales squirts like waffles from the rhyme of fear's parallel leg-saws. And also, a tin teardrop.
Gosh this song always makes me cry. I was talking to a man who never wanted to open up and talk about his emotions. We never dated, but he hurt me so much. It’s hard to mourn someone you were never with.
I understand, there are people who can't express themselves for different reasons but others who fear to do it, they can't trust anyone and that way they hurt others. I think one of the worst things that a person can live is not being never opened to love and be loved.
The nicest thing about Bjork (besides the fact that she's a natural born musician) is that she was never afraid of exposing her truth, feelings and connections to the world through her music and looks, against all odds. It takes courage to be yourself. Anyway, she never meant to be anybody else than herself. A brave. This is what it makes this woman unique.
I feel like a lot of us don't even have a self to be. We are just part of the collective, and that matters just as much. Bjork is part of us, but she is individual. That word is tossed around a lot, but very few people really are.
this exactly. she really bares herself in her music. there are few who are so honest in their music and on the same level of capability of getting the message across as Bjork.
Arguably her best piece of music, this song is raw proof that music has healing powers. This song came at the right time and helped me get through so much emotional turmoil. Thank you, Bjork.

So I hear this song and it goes right into my heart that I'm almost bawling. Björk is fantastic. It is as beautiful as anything else she has made.
I was just thinking that Vulnicura is her Lady in Satin (Billie Holiday), though thankfully not the end of her art. Both albums just make me feel the need to bawl my eyes out. This is a masterpiece on a very under appreciated album.
This woman is literally the best singer ever. Hands down. And, not only because of her voice, but because of the theme and auras behind her music. It's so unique. Truly a hearty album. Truly a beautiful song. Her singing makes me feel a way I've never felt before. I can't describe it. I would love to meet her one day, and simply say "Thank you."
so is life, friend. we shouldn't be afraid to feel things, especially if it's a sad feeling. allow yourself to feel whatever life brings you, don't run away. :-)
There's a moment (5:37) when "one of the Björks" bows as if to say goodbye with respect -which is what she's asking for. To her lover, to their love, to their ending/ended relationship. Just couldn't hold back tears at that. So pure.
There must be so many people who cried to this, trying to get over something excruciatingly painful in their lives, me included.. but the track really provides the space to cry, while also telling us that all is well deep down, because love is all that matters, is all we are
I absolutely love Bjork, for me she is one of the most intelligent and creative artist of our time. The fact people say she is weird is because we have been formatted to behave and think by the industrial revolution standards, learn how to be a good worker or employee, in school we don´t teach kids how to think or to be creative. In occidental culture people have little or none spiritual knowledge and emotional intelligence, so many of us are faced with mental problems that skyrocketed with the pandemic. Listen to Bjork and open your heart and your mind.
i was watching this on my phone and wiped some dirt off the screen with my finger, and the video started moving up towards the sky. scared the shit out of me.
It's really amazing being able to look around Icelandic lanscapes with Bjork dancing around! You can decide where to look at, and it feels as if you're really there with Bjork
Adam Katana I wouldn't call it very much "Icelandic landscapes". The place is called Grotta and just 10 minutes drive from downtown. Strange location to make 360 video.

i've been really depressed lately and this song hit me straight in the heart, this song is so beautiful and gives me a mother's comfort. i'm BAWLING my eyes out.

John Doe my experience was, boring video, nice scenery. Get out of the way Bjork, you're ruining the scenery. Also, your dress is ugly and your forehead is oddly large.
Amazing with how decades of music under her belt, she is still putting stuff out that makes me question "...is this the best song she's ever written?" For me, this is in my top 10, maybe top 5. This song is a devastating heartbreaker.
Crying my eyes out too. No matter how many times I watch this video she makes my cry and smile at the same time. It's just the understanding that kind of oneness with her. Always amazes me.
Same here. I had just broke up a tough and complicated relationship when the album came out. I just broke into tears when I first listened to this song and a friend of mine told me that he had some sort of envy that I was mourning that relationship with Vulnicura.
I remember listening to this song after been used and hurt. This song has helped me in many ways... Björk has helped me heal emotionally. Thank you so much. I remember not being able to listen to this song without crying and stopping myself from listening to it because I felt unworthy or I was afraid of feeling too overly emotional I suppose. Sometimes I still get that way when listening.
i’m crying, real deep, its like she is saying all the tings i always felt and shared to the people around me but they never responded , in fact they said Bjork is crazy and hysterical although i loved her so much in my twenties i begun to doubt my love for her and my ideas about myself. Now i’m in my fifties and seeing this clip and think : why , omg, why , did i let other people ( so called friends) decide for me how to be good or perfect and not myself .. living my mutual coordinates .
This song never fails to make me cry. The tears begin to flood when she sings... "What is it that I have that makes me feel your pain" ... and It's so emotionally moving to hear the strings at the very end. This song was made so carefully, creating such an emotional, and yet beautiful atmosphere
Such a beautiful woman, in all aspects... so much soul, she helps me everytime to discover new feelings, introducing me to the unknown, she has something really trascendental.
I think I'd sell my soul to the devil for the chance to be her husband. I've no idea what she's like to live with in private? but to simply throw away a love like her makes no sense what so ever.
+blindmanchitlin She's been married to a couple of equally intense artists. I love this woman to death but I imagine she may be a bit draining and I'm guessing that there may be some real issues there as well. Then compound those with other intense artists and collaborators that she had been romantically attached to.
+Katja Yount Romantic relationships are difficult for anyone. I can only imagine how much more difficult it must be for celebrities, especially so for musicians, who can be away from home on tour for months. Aside from the cancelation of part of her tour earlier this year, rumored lawsuit by her ex- ? Seems likely she's moving on with her life and doing fine. With so many more important things happening in the world lately, I've not been paying much attention to the soap opera lately. : )
blindmanchitlin I haven't either but I recall previous relationships she has had with other artists and the collaborations they would do together. Wonderful art but then one day it would just be announced that they'd part and I wouldn't dwell upon it until whatever next piece came out.
Katja Yount I never really paid much attention to her love life at all until this latest album, seeing as how it's so focused on the events of her break up, it's sorta hard not to notice. Perhaps this relationship ment a little more to her than some of the others? She's more mature and he is the father of her daughter. Perhaps she was thinking he was going to be "The One " ...? On a selfish note, at least it resulted in another beautiful (but sad) album for us fans. Especially this first track, Stonemilker, yet another song of hers that nearly made me cry the first time I listened to it. She is an amazing artist, as you said before, love her to death. It was her birthday last weekend, she turned 50 ! She's looking and sounding great though, always has looked to be younger than her actual age. Some have even suggested she might be the Fay Queen of the flipping Northern Fairy Relm. And say that she ages at a slower rate than the rest of us mere mortals... I may at times be inclined to acquiesce . ; )
I have thought this through I will name my future daughter after you Björk. I am a black American woman with German blood naming my future child after you that is my promise. I have been a fan of yours since i was 7 years old when I stumbled upon your performance of Bachelorette on some late night program sometime in the 90s. I have loved you ever since and you have made my life that much more magical knowing I share this world with you.
No twerk, no autotune, no big scenography, no nothing... Just a woman standing there, singing above the charming sound of violins. This song is heavenly awesome.
Does anyone have a quality problem if you watch this on your cellphone? Because I do, but Björk fucking did it again!! Simple but beautiful and strong and always, and I mean ALWAYS innovating. She's like "ok, we're gonna do a simple video but if 360 degrees". Beautiful song, beautiful place, beautiful woman.
BjorksMusic thank you so much! I'll check it out right now. P.s. thank you so so so much for all the videos of Volta tour and GH tour you've posted, you've made my days.
Incredible how so deep into her career she's still able to make some of her best music. This song is maybe her most emotionally intense. One of my favorites
I love how Bjork writes songs just for me: her charismagic weaves through my soul. Bjork's true musical talent is arranging heart strings: this song heals a deep sadness I never knew I had.
Omg, so I had to watch it again and I have to say this lady is the real deal, she is the definition of Artist. NOBODY, not Gaga, Beyoncé, I mean NOBODY can compare to her freaking artistic mind. She is above anyone else...that's it....🙌🏻👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️
It's true, she is incredible and a real trailblazer but why do you have to compare them? Three ladies all great at what they do in their own areas and work
+videogames+sports777 Vocally Beyonce and Lady Gaga are probably the best of this generation, their performances are top tier and v detailed and their music videos are beautiful too. Bad Romance has got to be one of the best pop songs and videos of all time. Yes Gagas and Beyoncés music may be more accessible and dance oriented than Björks but still have the technicality. Just listen to the neapolitan chords, unorthodox note changes in their vocal parts and great production. I really don't understand why they get a bad rep
+videogames+sports777 forget what I wrote, I just looked at your playlists. Madonna, Britney, Kylie, Korn and K-pop J-pop? Fuck offfffff about you saying what's trash and what isn't.
GUYS. YOU CAN PULL THE SCREEN TO MOVE IT AROUND. Oh my god, just discovered this after being frustrated with the control arrows in the top-left corner. Glorious experience either way, and such an exciting prospect too. What a time to be alive!
It's nearly 4am, barely got back from work a couple hours ago and I'm exhausted. My tea is lukewarm and all the lights are off. I prefer it this way when I'm sitting by the window and need time to recover not just physically but also mentally and emotionally. Since I got the blessed opportunity to see Bjork perform for the first time here in Los Angeles, I've been diving deeper into her entire discography and am revisiting all of my favorite records. However, this was my first time seeing the video and listening to Stonemilker. But halfway through I burst into utter tears. The landscape, the lyricism, me clicking around to immerse myself within the beautiful panorama as if I were there, and clicking left or right just to keep up with Bjork. Seeing her genuine expressions, the heartbreak in her eyes despite her smiles and eccentric yet mesmerizing dance gestures and her gracefully swaying around by the ocean. It all overwhelmed me. For a moment, I kept clicking after her afraid that she wouldn't come back. And until I saw her smile up close, instead of comforting me, I broke down even harder and was flooded with an abundance of thoughts about life, love, loss, and nature. Maybe I'm just tired after a long day and I should be getting some sleep, but my goodness this felt truly cathartic. I haven't had a good cry like this one in a long time. Regardless, this is a song I'll be revisiting time and time again for as long as I live. Thank you Bjork.
I watched 2 minutes in and thought she just stepped out of shot to let us hear her voice and watch the waves then I saw her dress on the left of the screen. Being accustomed to ads throughout videos i didn't take any mind to the D-pad on the top left and completely ignored it until I went to click it then the cursor turned to a hand then I moved the camera and was like "WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT!!!! what the hell is this!!?? :D" on top of just barely finding her a week ago and addicted to every song so far. Words can not explain how magnificent this woman is! but numbers can 1000/10
Boooooo she sucks and is boring lean how to get in to better music like slipknot slayer sublime. Snoop dog bubba spraxxx. 2pac cypress hill disturbed it's hip hop and metal and sky puck
This is my first time watching this video with my hearing aid and headphones. It's such a beautiful experience that has brought me to tears. Thank you björk 🖤 love always.
One of the most beautiful songs she has ever written. The rest of the album really requires patience and a broad palate for art - but this song... this song is right up there with anything that would have been on Homogenic or Vespertine. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate this new album and I understand the pain that went into it's creation; very heart wrenching, but as far as digestible, universal music, this is about as good as it gets. Bravo.
The most special and significant song I’ve heard in my lifetime. Lives in my heart. Cry with joy every time I hear it especially 4.40 as it rises into the final string section and around 5.47 is when it takes me somewhere else and I unashamedly get emotional. Thank you Bjork.
olivia beltran rude. She's 49 until November 21. You realize this video is in a 360° degree version right. That proves that her and her team/crew are amazing.
The 60s children had LSD 70s child had marijuana Children of the 80s cocaine. When the 90s child yearned to touch base with its most artistic grain inside, we took a hit of mother BJORK. 🌸🖤
wow I woke up in a mood . and steaming angry attitude and then I heard this on radio 1 just now . I stood still. and just stood and listened . so still I stood and with awe . felt in sync . and it's made an impact that I'm even come ting on UA-cam .Thank you bjork
+Muhammad Rizky it was like , had a massive argument with my sister, and was in fuming mood and the radio was on and I literally stood there motionless . thinking "I wanna solve world piece but can't even find piece with my own sister. kinda put things into perspective. and I know it's just a song but some songs . .. I dunno ,hit the heart strings
I cried because this is honestly the first time I’ve been able to see Björk’s mortality. Coming directly from the Venus as a Boy MV to this breaks my heart because i wish time didn’t exist for her.
"Stonemilker" A juxtapositioning fate Find our mutual coordinate Moments of clarity are so rare I better document this At last the view is fierce All that matters is Who is open chested And who has coagulated Who can share And who has shut down the chances Show me emotional respect I have emotional needs I wish to synchronize our feelings What is it that I have That makes me feel your pain Like milking a stone To get you to say it Who is open And who has shut up And if one feels closed How does one stay open We have emotional need I wish to synchronize our feelings Show some emotional respect
I understand that some people don't get complexity of lionsong or mouth mantra, but why does stonemilker have so many dislikes? It is very simple (even björk herself said that) and melody reminds stuff like unravel or jóga. This is song just everyone has to like, it's so beautiful :-)

Yes again true art from bjork so unfortunate that shel will be not recognized for her talent until the main stream actually finds out what art is. Love you so much!!
Holy fucking shit. This is the most amazing thing I have EVER watched in my life. Bjork is honestly the artist of our generation and she is SO underrated.
I cant stop listening to this when I'm alone. It's such a beautiful song and not everyone can appreciate this type of music. And that's okay! because we're all different individuals. I feel so connected to humanity when I hear this music for some reason lol I'm a hippy freak I guess
I remember the first time i saw this video... the camera/screen was faced towards the sky... i remember getting up and moving and noticing the screens angle changing... obviously it was at that moment i realized this video was 360°..... i showed my children who were still small at the time and allowed them to play with the phone and try find bjork😄..... it was a kind of beautiful moment for me & to be honest... i couldnt help but listen in on the lyrics... i think i neeeded this song at that time in my life...... and the video😌

I've been watching this for more than one year, and it still sounds fresh and emotional to me. Love her work, love her way to express her feelings!
This made me cry and I don't even know why. Like she's trying to comfort you for existing in a world where feelings are not being respected. I love Bjork
Same. Everytime I watch this
that's exactly what the song means 🥺😿💔🖤

"Show some emotional respect." She just totally hit the nail on the head here; it's a phrase I wish I would've had before now.

Bjork makes me feel comfortable about being myself and not being scared of expressing my weirdness

+Katja Yount
Romantic relationships are difficult for anyone.

I never really paid much attention to her love life at all until this latest album, seeing as how it's so focused on the events of her break up, it's sorta hard not to notice.
Bless you
No twerk, no autotune, no big scenography, no nothing...
Osvaldo, I posted a segment of an interview that has Bjork talking about Thom Yorke.
BjorksMusic thank you so much! I'll check it out right now. P.s. thank you so so so much for all the videos of Volta tour and GH tour you've posted, you've made my days.
Osvaldo Morales Your Most Welcome, I'm glad I've made your days.
Wow sooo many Bjorks I am in heaven!
Siii muchas byorks ...hermoso video!!
Incredible how so deep into her career she's still able to make some of her best music. This song is maybe her most emotionally intense. One of my favorites
Why does this song have to end?.... Don't leave me Bjork..
Click repeat..dont bless me
Kane Sugar lol
Probably best Bjork song of last 10 years. Masterpiece.
I thought that the first time I saw this.... Literally broke my heart💔😔 After a long hard 6 year battle to get home🤙🛹
She is above anyone else...that's it....🙌🏻👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️
word!
true 👏
The desperation makes me cry I love this song it’s so beautiful but yes I’ve been getting tears every listen
I`m crying. This is real music. I love her
50 years-old and her voice still the same!
That woman is a genius, and a brilliant person. Nuff said.
A world with 3 Björk's is the only one I want to live in. ❤
GUYS. YOU CAN PULL THE SCREEN TO MOVE IT AROUND. Oh my god, just discovered this after being frustrated with the control arrows in the top-left corner. Glorious experience either way, and such an exciting prospect too. What a time to be alive!
I am trying to keep Björk in my view moving the phone desperately lol
same lol. I'm like "Ha your not going anywhere. I can seeeee youuu"
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂shes so creative this is a Masterpiece
@@mrman9151 and then there is three björks and you don't know which one to look at lol
@@zippy66666 all three are equally delicious looking hahaha
I tried moving my phone but the view didn't move until I swiped my screen...
no joke how the fuck does she look so young at 50
And still so awesome? Truly talented.
SHE IS REPTILIAN LOL
she's not human
She's half way frozen, it's the Icelandic air!
Way major talent!!
duns She's 50??
I just adore this woman. She is from outer space really.
Didn't cry to a music video for a long time, but here we are.
Björk has helped me to endure my anxiety... I love her so much, thank you Björk :)
What a world we live in...
If this 360 degree video had Rihanna in it, it would've had hit hundreds of millions views.
This video is the start of something big.
Words can not explain how magnificent this woman is! but numbers can 1000/10
I did the same thing! Ha,ha :)
I love you, Bjork. You really are a light in a dark world.
How can be a song sounds so beautiful and yet so sad. What a megamasterpiece
i feel like a director...
Anthony English me too
Anthony English You are, hopefully you get to direct your life. But your point is taken. A beautiful video.
björk fans are so lovely
this song pairs uncannily with frank ocean's seigfreid
Anthony English same
I love her.
***** Me too .. l o v e !!! I saw her twice in concert, two of the best shows i have ever seen.
farmyardflavours so lucky
***** is this a serious question
***** me too
Boooooo she sucks and is boring lean how to get in to better music like slipknot slayer sublime. Snoop dog bubba spraxxx. 2pac cypress hill disturbed it's hip hop and metal and sky puck
Damn, I feel so related to this quote:
What is it that I have
That makes me feel your pain?
Like milking a stone
To get you to say it
This is my first time watching this video with my hearing aid and headphones. It's such a beautiful experience that has brought me to tears. Thank you björk 🖤 love always.
Holy shit this is the coolest thing I've ever came across
Holy shit this is amazing, how am I just seeing this. Bjork is forever in her own realm. Such a unique, amazing, beautiful soul.
Oh My GOD! I'm in tears.
What an emotional experience 😥❤ I didn't expect to be so overwhelmed with tears at the end
When I listen to Björk its like ❤💜❤💜❤💜❤💜❤💜🎵✨🌸🎶💗🌟🌈👼🎵✨🌺🎶💫😯🎵💞🌷🌈💗🌟🎶🎵✨😇💗🌟🎶👼🎵🌸❤💜❤💜❤💜❤💜❤💜
Oh yes... yes
Какая же она потрясающая. Бьёрк как отдельный вид искусства. Люблю ее.
I like being surrounded by bjorks
One of the most beautifully raw pieces of music ever made.
Imagine going for a walk & finding Björk in the middle of nowhere dancing around camera.
Hands down my favourite Björk song ever.
The way bjork rolls her Rs gives me life. It sounds so nice.
Wow in this version it's like you're talking to her. Truly incredible!
Bjorks 49 or 50!!
olivia beltran rude. She's 49 until November 21. You realize this video is in a 360° degree version right. That proves that her and her team/crew are amazing.
Ok good for her
olivia beltran did you watch it? Was it in 360° (degrees)?
No
We can hear the emotion in her voice it's amazing
The 60s children had LSD
70s child had marijuana
Children of the 80s cocaine.
When the 90s child yearned to touch base with its most artistic grain inside, we took a hit of mother BJORK.
🌸🖤
everything this woman does , turns into a visual and musical masterpiece
i have no words to describe how much i love björk.
I once realized that my mouth was open in front of the screen when the video was already finished
wow I woke up in a mood . and steaming angry attitude and then I heard this on radio 1 just now . I stood still. and just stood and listened . so still I stood and with awe . felt in sync . and it's made an impact that I'm even come ting on UA-cam .Thank you bjork
+Steven Sxotti for me this song is a lullaby
+Muhammad Rizky it was like , had a massive argument with my sister, and was in fuming mood and the radio was on and I literally stood there motionless . thinking "I wanna solve world piece but can't even find piece with my own sister. kinda put things into perspective. and I know it's just a song but some songs . .. I dunno ,hit the heart strings
Steven Sxotti :) how're u doing now?
Still not talking to he but all good i gess, cheers :)
+Steven Sxotti wow you heard this on the radio? I haven't heard bjork play on the radio... must be listening to the wrong stations.
I cried because this is honestly the first time
I’ve been able to see Björk’s mortality. Coming directly from the Venus as a Boy MV to this breaks my heart because i wish time didn’t exist for her.
"Stonemilker"
A juxtapositioning fate
Find our mutual coordinate
Moments of clarity are so rare
I better document this
At last the view is fierce
All that matters is
Who is open chested
And who has coagulated
Who can share
And who has shut down the chances
Show me emotional respect
I have emotional needs
I wish to synchronize our feelings
What is it that I have
That makes me feel your pain
Like milking a stone
To get you to say it
Who is open
And who has shut up
And if one feels closed
How does one stay open
We have emotional need
I wish to synchronize our feelings
Show some emotional respect
Chloe these moments thanks
Awesome.
Thank you for that. X
Holy shit
The lyrics are so beautiful . . .
This is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. Björk is constantly innovating. Cheers!!
I understand that some people don't get complexity of lionsong or mouth mantra, but why does stonemilker have so many dislikes? It is very simple (even björk herself said that) and melody reminds stuff like unravel or jóga. This is song just everyone has to like, it's so beautiful :-)
A juxtaposition in fate
Find our mutual coordinates
Moments of clarity are so rare
I better document this
Across the view is fears
All that matters is
Who is open-chested
And who has coagulated
Who can share and
Who has shot down the chances?
Show me emotional respect, oh respect, oh respect
And I have emotional needs, oh needs, oh ooh
I wish to synchronize our feelings, our feelings, oh ooh
What is it that I have
That makes me feel your pain?
Like milking a stone
To get you to say it, and
Who is open?
And who has shut up
And if one feels closed
How does one stay open?
We have emotional needs, oh needs, oh needs, oh ooh
I only wish to synchronize our feelings, our feelings, ooh
I'll show some emotional respect, oh respect, oh ooh
A juxtaposition in fate
Find our mutual coordinates
Yes again true art from bjork so unfortunate that shel will be not recognized for her talent until the main stream actually finds out what art is. Love you so much!!
Derrald Segue But this video is getting over a million views. It's really popular right now.
If Katy Perry dropped this.... in a pool of sexuality, then taking you to her bedroom (all in 360), as shes singing....
Oh Lawd It would be shit as her music usually is.
Continue to listen this amazing song😊
@björk you touch my soul so deeply with this song you make me want to cry. Thank you.
such gorgeous scenery! being this close to bjork is so nice, I just wanna reach out and hug her lol
Fast forward and play the 'find björk' game! 😂
Hahaha :)
omar ma tuer
Thomas Strate ننت
hahahahaha
+Jj Nnm عربي
This is soooo cool. I was trying to figure out why bjork just walked out of the camera. I hardly payed attention to the "360" in the title.
my favourite björk song ever her voice sounds gorgeous
Bjorks songs are beautiful and her lyrics are beyond our time and comprehension.
6 years already?? OMG!! and I love this like the first time I listened to it ♥
