Above and beyond the gorgeous scenery and awesome wheeling, one of the things that Cindy and I love most about attending the Moab Easter Jeep Safari, is that we always get to hook up with old friends out on the trail. One such friend we got to catch up with this year was Bryce from Dixie 4 Wheel Drive and in this short video, you'll get a close up look at his badass Jeep JL Wrangler. In addition to being the very first JL Wrangler to have a 6.4L HEMI under the hood, it also features a 3-link front and triangulated 4-link rear long arm suspension system and of course, 14" coilovers. We hope you enjoy what you see.
One of the best interviews while going over the Jeep. Dude knows his stuff! Bad ass Jeep!!!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed what you saw :)
Bryce is a stud. He really helped us out on one of our trips to sand hollow. He came down to the shop at 10pm and fixed my buddies jeep so we could keep wheeling the next day! Great looking jeep
Seen this in person. Awesome rig Awesome peeps at Dixie. They saved my Moab trip 2x
That just might be one of the most comprehensive rig walk arounds I've ever seen. One bad ass machine. Top shelf everything. One of the most common sayings when it comes to Jeep builds is, "No such thing as a finished Jeep build" or something to that effect but I'd say that's pretty much a wrap for this build. Sure, you could tweak a couple of things, cosmetic for the most part but all the hardcore mods are a done deal. Dem Boyz at Dixie know how to build a beast!
Awesome, I'm so glad we would give you a closer look at this beast :)
Omg! Dude must eat, sleep & dream Jeep!! Strong interview, well done!
Thank you :)
This dude knows what he is talking about and obviously love his Jeep....wow!!!!!
Badass Jeep! We are putting a Hemi in our 2018 as well. We are doing a full build series. Nice job guys
Awesome - looking forward to seeing it :)
@@wayalife check our channel episode 1 went live last Friday.
The guys at Dixie are great, and they really know their stuff.
Yup, they sure do :)
Great video! Awesome JL!
Glad you enjoyed it
If money was no object, yes and yes. Amazing build!!
It really is an amazing build :)
Wow, what an amazing build! Sometimes you need a "money no object" project to really show people what can be done taking things to the next level.
Yup, for sure :)
That was really an awesome walk around on an amazing jl. You are definitely right Eddie, we all need one! Thanks for another great video.
Glad you enjoyed the walk around and yes, I would love to have one.
Booooom!!!!! What a beast! Hope you all had fun at Easter Safari Week!
Thank you :)
That is one badass Jeep!! The V8 is sweet. But for some reason im more impressed with everything he did under the jeep. Can’t wait to see who else you run into at EJS. Have an awesome time!
It really is a fine build.

Making me have second thoughts on keeping my JKUR & not getting a JLUR. 😏
Thanks again for sharing Eddie, Cindy and Dixie 4 Wheel Drive!
LOL - just trying to make life hard for ya :)
Wayalife
It’s all good Eddie! I’m enjoying the “Wayalife” journey so far. :)
I got to see the build at Dixie last year during EJS. Those aluminum arms are so sick.
They sure were purrty :)
Really nice jeep

Dam that jeep sounds good
Yes it does!
I can't wait to see all the Jeeps stuff this week!
Hope to bring you more :)
Love it
Love to see the back half kit available for sale
JEEP engineers are taking notes
Wow! Unbelievable build. Did this give you some ideas for your JL Eddie!? 🐞IIII🐞
LOL - more like just gave me the I wants! :)
The hat is gone and now am speechless ! How on earth can you shoehorn such a fire breathing power plant in a Wrangler 🤔
good job man ..
Those 39s look small on that beast
Ah I remember him from the 2013 JKX video
LOL - nice to see a long time viewer :)
Cant wait to see the videos from moab. My safari line ran into you and mel on our way out of 7 mile rim, glad you have a sense of humor, your assessment of that diff glide plate was right on...it really was kinda gay. Lol. Good stuff👍👍
LOL - so that was you! It was a real pleasure to meet you even if only in passing :)
@@wayalife likewise. I started watching your videos when I got my first jeep in October 2017 and said, " I wanna do that shit!!!" And now I've got a 2018 JKU rubicon, and I'm loving it👍👍 Moab is awesome. Thanks for the videos👍
Awesome outstanding job thanks
Wow what a sweet ride.
Indeed it is :)
front and rear dual shock?? awesome build
AWESOME!!!!
392 should be an option! if not the 6.2 : )
With these JL's having an 8" longer wheelbase than a 1991 Jeep 5.9 Grand Wagoneer and the same width I'm surprised that they aren't coming with a V8 from the factory.
I thought a JK was big until I drove a JL, a JL (41ft) has a 3 foot larger turning radius than a Wagoneer(37ft). To put that in perspective my V8 CJ5 has a 32 foot turning radius.
Freaking Sweet!!!
he's probably gonna do this to the gladiator soon too
Think he said a GenRight gas tank? I have been wanting a bigger gas tank!
Yup, GenRight
Awesome!!!!
At 3:14, It looks like that Tie Rod bar could be flipped upside down to get more clearance?? I want a 2006 LJ built like that. Beautiful build. Thanks
Kept it Mopar.
You do need one of those 😛👍🏻
Yes! I really do :)
As if old age poverty wasn't already a certainty, you have to show me this.
build cost has to be $120K plus
So a stock 19 JLU sport S can’t handle a 392 HEMI engine swap?
Putting a 5.7 or 6.4 with the mds might improve your mpg. I had a JK that got 16-18 mpg. Traded it for a 4X4 crew cab 2500 Heavy Duty and and that got 16MPG. So you put that engine in a lighter Jeep and you might have the power and the MPG.
Only a minute into the video and I no longer care about what he's telling me...
I just want to know where the hell I can buy this thing
LOL - Dixie 4 Wheel Drive in Moab, UT. The guy you want to talk to is Bryce.
I cry when I think of the price this cost!
It ain't cheap, that's for sure.
What happens to the stock stuff when this happens? They must sell it off?
Well, Dixie is a shop. I'm sure they could :)
Awesome ! No bash plate ?
Nice
That's a genright elite suspension with custom hoop mounts to fit an external bypass.
haha wrong... maybe watch the video again. It explains exactly what it is.
13 million dollars later
*V8 Jet Li coming soon i hope, moby needs a challenger
LOL - if it weren't for the fact that we're getting a Gladiator, I think we may have considered it.
Wow! And to think I'm still wheeling my TJ! lol
What sucks is My JK is only two & half years old and PAYED FOR that's what keeps me from the JL. I just don't want payments again.
Nothing wrong with a JK. I still have mine too :)
How much would this exact spec cost to buy? Guessing it's around $100k? Still cheaper than a G-Wagon.
Local offroad shop to me builds similar jeeps. One like this would be in the high $100s. 6.4 swap into a JL is $35k for parts and labor.
After watching part of the video and all the fab work with the back half and such you are looking at probably closer to $200k.
She's a beauty!!! $80,000?
thats closer to 100K :(
@@drewengles4477 My 2018 JLU Sport with 2 inch Fox lift and 35 inch tires, gets me everywhere I want to go...For a third of the cost...
Don’t make moby jelly 🤭😹😹😹
LOL - I know I know.
Too bad they dont come stock with an option to get a Hemi.
For a vehicle that can easily exceed 50k, you would expect this to be an option. 3.6 V6 is underpowered for a vehicle this size, especially when you add a lift, giant tires, and kit it out.
You never know. A diesel is expected later in the year. Things might change in the future.
@@wayalife If its the Fiat Diesel, I wouldn't get too excited, but if it's a Cummins, hell yea!!
Eddie, a V8 swap in future maybe?
You never know :)
A Jeep owners dream. Jeep will never put a factory V8 into the Wrangler because of possible legal implications.
What legal implications would that be?
Definitely a dream
Hmm see the first 40" Hemi-swap gladiator. Oh yeah...
I read the other day that even the demon motor will fit perfect in the Jeep JL but it would never pass safety because of the crumple test
Thank goodness that our own modes don't have to pass any safety tests. I mean it's a lot of money, but you only live once right!!!
Hyundia Mobis makes frame in sections*
Freaking awesome! If you need a GuineaJeepJL feel free to use mine! #dreaming
Why even buy the Jeep? Just weld up a custom lot and be done.
Now that is built, not bought.
Why doesn't JEEP just offer a factory V8? Is it a government regulations issue about keeping overall mpg low?
Legal implication with young drivers. Sometimes too much power is dangerous.
@@mattsynth well that doesn't make sense a young driver could buy a 800hp+ SRT Grand Cherokee, Charger, or Challenger....
Matt.... comeawn dude.
Government regulations dictate that an average of all vehicles produced have to meet a certain mpg rating. That’s why more passenger vehicles that are fuel efficient are produced vs say your Jeep trackhawk. If we didn’t have these government restrictions, Jeep would have the freedom to produce v8s, 60 axles etc
@@imforealz8617 sell them as a base option then let the mopar division do there thing and still have it under a factory warranty
That would be ideal, much like svt and roush handle ford vehicles
😱🚙👌👍

Careful you're gonna get indicted for killing Raptors...
Hate to break it to you thats not a jeep anymore its something but not a jeep it only has the appearance of one
