As a lifelong Knicks fan, there will always be a soft spot in my heart for the legendary Jeremy Lin. If only Melo was able to share the spotlight
Jeremy wasn’t let go cause of melo, it was because of the salary cap
Nah it was melo 💀
@@professorlab2943 he called his contract offer ridiculous lol. it was 100% melo
He’s still playing in the Taiwan league that has Dwight Howard I think
@@Isaac-mk3wj no it wasn’t the Knicks just didn’t wanna pay him that much money. paying that much would’ve been ridiculous cause he showed he just wasn’t like that. he was a very good and imo underrated role player but after his breakout month he ended up getting injured and the next season the nba had a scouting report on him and essentially had him figured out. he was never the kind of player that could be a cornerstone to a franchise, he was an above average role player that was given a rare opportunity and got hot during it.
As a European I love the fact you've included basketball, American football and soccer in the video. It's always nice seeing sports uniting the whole globe. Also the production of all your videos has been amazing, you're soo underated.
I like to be able to tell stories that everyone can relate to, whether they are from the US/elsewhere or even if they’re not sports fans - that’s the whole goal. Appreciate the kind words 🙏
@@dj.mp4 love that man, keep up the good work
@@vaggelismrs6311 “soccer”
@@jpgcz clearly he just used the term to make the sentence more understandable but the guy is European I trust him in knowing the name of the sport

There's a famous saying among soccer fans, "The streets won't forget." I guess that encapsulates all of this one-hit wonders stories pretty well. Yes their performance maybe gone downhill ever since, players come and go for the team, but we, the fans, will always remember the time when they were at the top of the game. Hundreds or maybe even thousands of children were captivated by that moments and probably started playing the sports, even idolizing them. It was magical, and while the magic won't last for long, the memories certainly will. The streets won't forget.
jeremy lin to me is the most memorable
the sheer amount of joy and hype he brought as pretty much a nobody back then was infectious, to say the least
and one i very much like to come back to quite often and just experience again
Linsanity gave so much wholesome feels for the world of basketball. A nobody, who worked really hard, needed a shot. He got it, and took it, absolutely exploded. While being on the road, the other teams' fans would cheer for him. Of course, the NBA is a tough game. His body got way too many injuries. But when he was healthy and he laid it all on the line, it was magic.
Jeremy Lin will always have a soft spot for me. Shows that anybody can achieve something that they put effort into. Super happy he won a ring in Toronto in 2019
He sat on the bench the whole time. I should get a ring for that as well. Ring doesnt mean shit if you didn't do anything to earn it.
I’m not certain but I’m pretty sure only the starters get a ring.
@@CH-bp3bj no, everyone on the team got a ring
@@CH-bp3bj everyone on the team gets a ring, in every sport lol. how unfair would it be for the 15 subs in a wc winning team to not get a trophy because they werent in the starting xi
That Linsanity era was crazy for New York. I remember everyone was getting hype around basketball around that era, everyone was tryna be like J. Lin on the court. It honestly sparked my interest for basketball that I still have ten years later.
best nba youtuber out right now
he does more than just nba
@@LakeManship true but i was just thinking of nba because it’s jeremy lin, but he’s also the best nfl youtuber out right now

holy balls i cant comprehend this production value. its just too high for my brain to take in. Please never stop, i hope soon this becomes a job for you because i want this as much as possible
Production value? Are you referring to the massive border taking up 25% of the screen?
@@NickMachadoit’s to stand out. if you don’t like it click off the video, it’s really not that challenging.

Not a soccer fan but thank you for talking about Leicester City, I never really knew about them. Holy shit what a cool story. Thank you for drawing that comparison to Cal-State Bakersfield because I don’t think I would’ve really grasped what an insane underdog they were without that.
This is a great video. Never found your channel before this but I’m 100% excited for your next videos

Emp Lemmon and Jon Bois inspiring a whole generation of excellent video makers! Congrats my brother this is gem of a video
Summoning Salt as well
there's inspiring and then there is straight up copying.. inspiriting means having your own creative input not taking Emplemmons title of "the art of the choke" and changing 3 words
@@WhatisAPaladin someone has to say it.
Tbh it all started with Jon Bois.
The Peyton Hillis year was kind of magical.
It was so cool seeing this giant white RB straight out of the 1970's taking over in the 2010's.
It's like John Riggins or Larry Csonka for my generation.
It was pretty fun to watch.
Not only did you get to see the brutal trucks, he was super athletic as well.
Seeing him tracking down those poorly thrown passes & making something happen.
I hope his recovery is going well.
He became a real life hero, not just a football hero after he saved his kids from drowning.
Almost lost his own life, but as of this comment, he is recovering in the hospital.
na hes goated
As a longtime nba fan I was never interested in other sports but your way of storytelling makes me so intrigued that I don’t just skip to the linsanity part. Keep it up your doing great
Thank you!
keep doing what your doing, found the Rodman video and now I can’t stop watching you. Can’t wait for what’s next Dylan :)
🙏
The David Tyree catch is something my kids will hear, I guarantee it
I really love the way u style your videos it reminds me of netflix retro documentaries. Only comment i will say is that you are a little quieter than the music but other than that 9/10 vid
Really good production for such a small channel
I’ve been struggling to find YT vids that are interesting, but Dylan I can confidently say you are gonna blow up. This content is so well edited and organized. I appreciate the time and energy you’re probably putting into these vids. Keep it up 🔥🔥
I was waiting for this to come out, you and JxmyHighroller are easily my favourite UA-camrs right now
Tears of joy!! This was beautifully produced and written! Keep it up my guy!
I was a One Game Wonder myself, only on a MUCH smaller scale.
I played football from elementary school through the end of High School. I started as an offensive lineman, but when puberty hit 6 foot wasn’t gonna cut it in texas. I cut weight, and tried to be a running back. I had the speed and strength for it, but not the necessary field vision. Eventually I bulked back up, kept pushing the top speed, and became a decent Special Teams roll guy. Stuffing kicks, blowing up holes in kickoffs. I became a wrecking ball that had the occasional momentum changing highlight, but nothing glamorous.
Expect for one game.
My Freshman year, I’m on JV, but everyone suits up for Homecoming. The school has a new field, the Homecoming turn out beats records, and we schedule the game against our rivals. I was playing Nose Guard on JV at the time, mostly because the kid who was playing the position got hurt. I was listed as the third string Nose Guard, but was told I wouldn’t play. Second string guy gets hurt during practice, and then the starter gets hurt near the end of the first quarter. My first Varsity down is in the Homecoming game, and we are losing. I can’t fully describe the feeling that washed over me then, the best I can do is that I surpassed the outer reaches of nervousness and felt a surreal peace I never felt on the field before nor ever again. It was almost like I could see the perfect path to the Quarterback painted for me, effortlessly read the line, and feel the panic in the Quarterbacks movement. I missed a sack by a second the first two snaps, tipped the pass in the air on the third, and that was turned into a fumble recovery. Three unsuccessful drives later, which included two sacks from me, and this pass heavy offense fully pivoted to the run. The starter was ready to go back in, and I stepped out as the opponents ineffective run game lead to a massive momentum shift. In desperation they went back to the pass in the fourth, and I was tapped back in to continue to freeze up the quarterback. I got one more sack, a second tipped pass, and in the end was majorly responsible for a 10 point deficit turning to a overwhelming 35 point win.
Most of the time when I reflect on my time playing football, I think back to the friends I made, and the joy of being a small cog in the machine of a handful of very talented teams. But occasionally, in moments like this, I reflect back on the one game I was the MVP of. A performance I can’t explain, or could ever replicate. But, one I will never forget.
Watching THAT Leicester City season was an absolute masterpiece and a pleasure to be apart of.
Bro. You don’t understand how happy I got when I got the noti. Awesome work again man. Gonna watch it later because i’m at work. That music in the intro is your staple bro. Keep using it! Love ya man have a nice day!
🙏 Appreciate the support
The video has huge Emp Lemon vibes. Keep up the good work!
Speaking of Peyton Hills, he was recently discharged from the hospital after a weeks stay after saving his children from drowning the beginning of the year. That year and the madden cover and everything was something else to witness growing in NE Ohio. A hero in the eyes of browns fans🤎🧡
Love this video, the only thing is I would search for another song instead of the summon salt one that way it becomes your own tune and people can attribute it to you and not summing salt. You could always listen to what Jon Bois uses
Brian (the person who made a few tracks for this video, cited at the end) is actually making more music which will (eventually) be all I use for videos. It’s just early in the process. But that change IS coming.
The funny thing is I watch both Summoning Salt and Jon Bois, and for some reason thought he was using Jon Bois music, lol.
glad i got notifications on for this channel can already guarantee this video is gonna be great
Hope you enjoy!

Big emplemon and Jon bois vibes. Your research, curiosity, and voice are on point for the format, I’d suggest more distinguishing royalty free music tho. You’re talented at this so don’t let them call you a copycat, make it your own! ✌🏻

one of a kind documentarys nobody can do it like you trust me in 3 months your gonna have 100k subs keep it up !
Feels like one of those old REWINDER videos from SB Nation. Keep at it mate. 🙏
I assumed you would have had a larger back catalog because of how good your editing is. Keep up the good work! I will say out of the all of the levels I feel the one season wonder (at least for the nba) is the most common as the chance at a large contract is more motivating for some players than a ring.
another amazing video keep em coming i love them all
Man you deserve more subs love the content man keep it up

Been watching your videos, your production is great and fun to watch!
Great content! One note: it was Super Bowl 42 that was in Glendale, Arizona, not Super Bowl 46. They both featured the New England Patriots vs. the New York Giants and the Giants won both, but you mixed up the two seasons.
great video man, youve really taken your own spin and made it an enjoyable watch, good job :)

How do you not have more subscribers right now? Absolutely incredible video and editing, really thought this was a Jon Bois video at first
Love the documentary type vids keep it up.😄
The thing with Leicester that's even more amazing was that they would have got relegated the previous season if not for an insane win streak at the end of the season. When you said "they shouldn't have been in the position to win", they REALLY shouldn't have been. It's the most against the odds sporting achievement I've ever seen.
I love the vibe of your videos. Reminds me of old Jon Bois video in SB.
your channel finna grow so crazy
