- -I present to you a SOULCALIBUR V Ivy Skill Project. This video took me a number of days to put together. Same could be said about the Re-Color on Ivy's Illustration Artwork. (Thanks to a good friend, we collaborated on the final piece) I've always wanted to make one of these Projects for years, ever since I stumbled upon them through YT. Given, I now have the resources to produce such a Masterpiece. As well as Mastering Her move-set over the years. Here is the full potential of the Ivy Blade at work. Overall, I wanted this video to contain a study on her iCS/CS, Impractical/Practical Combos, and Ivy Lick. Considering, that she's had the "Ivy Lick" attack (6b8) since her debut in SOULCALIBUR I. I tried my best to show my favored combos as well as intriguing game play. I hope it is visible to see the Art within Ivy's Move-set, Design, and Personality. She’s my favorite ever since her debut, after all. This is my Style w/ her...This Movie is organized by the following: Mid Screen Combos, Ukemi-trap combos, Wall-Combos, and Scrap footage of some extra combos I had left within the credits. Enjoy.

Oh my goodness, this is wonderful. The music, style, all of it was incredible. I don't know if you'll remember, but I'm TheInfectiousD. I was an Ivy main back when I was playing SCV, and I think we had the privilege of playing against each other. I really think you've given Ivy the respect she deserves with this project. I found this channel after i saw the new SC6 trailer so i was looking for Ivy videos from past SC´s (i dont play since SC2) and Ivy is my old main but damn your videos looks so good i love your asthetics :D. Keep it going :D

Well-done, Amy Lionheart. This is pretty amazing. I'm so glad to see skill projects still being made for SC. Now I could be mistaken, but I don't see skill projects being made for other games. Perhaps all other games require far less skill? Or maybe those that created the 1st skill project, that started the tradition, just wanted to brag about their trivial accomplishments? I don't know, but they certainly look full of skill, yours being no exception, so mission completed. Thanks for creating this. It's inspiring.

Thanks very much. I have other “Skill Projects” like Combo Projects for TEKKEN also on my Channel. As mentioned in the description, I was inspired by seeing Primarily SC ones to drive me to have created this. Rest assured, I haven’t found another Fighter besides SC or TEKKEN to play around w/ that I thoroughly enjoy. I personally prefer 3-D Fighters, instead of 2-D. However, I MAY give SFV AE a try. Not sure how that will go, but we’ll see if I actually like it. I think this has become a tradition w/ SC, at least w/ what I was exposed to. I appreciate the feedback very much & thank you for taking your time to watch my Video.

Hrm the combo's that don't matter.
Old note to old Soul Calibur 2 and 3 players, remember when Ivy wasn't an air reliant character and was able to pretty do a fight without ever putting targets into the air to do significant damage?
This is her worst and most nerfed version thus far, manageable but less effective than the entire roster only in V though. Now shes almost back to her original and improved self in VI.

Amazing, truly amazing. the tech traps do some damn good work with ivy, just a shame that some of the 9,8 or7 A+Bs are techable sometimes. I did a video like this a while back with devil jin, more of just a combo video but it has a few techtraps and a 100% combo but I used the elgatos softwarethat it comes with to edit it which isnt the best, do u have any recommendations?

Indeed, most of her 7, 8 or 9A+B.B can be teched out of in terms of Holding the second string of the attack (B (hold)). Hence, why in my more complex combos, I don't hold the second hit. Again, this project includes stylized combos/Set-ups. (e.g. Her GI on Cervantes' DC B. Into her CE) And, I also use an Elgato for recording my footage. For video editing, however, I use Sony Vegas Pro 13.

Es fake. Yo sé jugar con Ivy y esos combos no son relamente combo (al menos muchos de los que muestra sobre 100 damage). El oponente queda parado sin guardia mientras el ataca. Esos golpes continuos se evitan facilmente, tan solo que en el modo entrenamiento dejó a la CPU sin defensas tras golpes

This video is not mainly technical, but also stylized. Her Ukemi traps are possible (just tedious/risky to perform). Her Ukemi traps within her 6b8 BE are like a 50/50. This presentation is to show Ivy at her fullest Combo/Move-set Potential. I am aware some of the captures presented aren't guaranteed. Esp. The GI against Cervantes' GDR into CE. I always have my Ukemi/Aerial Control settings as Random when testing out guaranteed combinations. When you have to "record" your AI in training, those settings are dis-regarded immediately, thus making things "look guaranteed" when in reality, they are not.
