  • In this video, I will show you two methods, on how I make homemade alcohol activated paints. Each method is very affordable and take little to no time at all!
    Misspelled watching in video, sorry!

Alcohol paints are a plastic based paint so when it dries it’s flexible and doesn’t budge when water touches it
When you just mix alcohol with other liquids it just dries differently
    Doesn’t make it water proof
If you want something waterproof get cinema secrets super sealer
And mix it in with cream paints, foundations, any sort of liquid and it will make it waterproof

Adding alcohol to water soluble paint or diluting fake blood with alcohol does not make them activated by alcohol. At best it might make the fake blood a little more fluid for application or in the case of the water soluble paint it might dry a little faster than if you were using water.

By adding alcohol to the fake blood or water activated paint you are making it so that it will dry much faster. Just like a alcohol activated paint. Using water would take much longer to dry and the effect wouldn’t be the same in my opinion. With the fake blood you are not activating it, only diluting it to use in washes. But I believe the water activated paints have a very different effect when you use alcohol to activate it rather then using water. You are most defiantly activating the water based paint when using the alcohol just in a different way.

Ok, first of all, it looks like you didn't read my comment fully because I stated that "At best it might make the fake blood a little more fluid for application or in the case of the water soluble paint it might dry a little faster than if you were using water." I didn't include that it would be useful for washes because you can make a wash with water too, so it's only benefit over water is the dry time. Secondly, alcohol activated makeup is so named because you literally need alcohol to activate it. Water or any other liquid will not work. One of the main reasons you would choose alcohol activated over any other makeup is so the thin washes you get from it won't come off with water. The water soluble paint is so named because you can take it off with water or any liquid for that matter. As such, using alcohol instead of water for water soluble paint is not making it activated by the alcohol. Hence, not alcohol activated paint.

Steve S obviously this is not a actual homemade alcohol activated paint. It’s just what I feel gives a similar effect.
