  • In this video, I will show you a great alternative for foam latex. Foam gelatine! This is a cheap, and easy way to get results very similar to foam latex! This material can be used by pouring it into various molds to create a light, cheap costing, yet effective prosthetic.

    How does this compare weight wise to regular gelatin?

    It's nice to see a recipe without glycerin for once.

      So, how does this recipe compare to the “usual” glycerin-using ones?

      Lee Andrews Yes you can but the gelatin has sone weight so there are some restrictions when it comes to size.

    How does this product hold up in direct sunlight or on a hot day want to ty this out and make a prosthetic

    • @braedensfx3600
      @braedensfx3600  6 років тому

      The product will hold up fine on a hot or sunny day but that’s not the ideal condition to use the product. The only issue you make come across it’s the edges coming up or the prosthetic coming off the skin.

    So would you pour it into mold and then refrigerate it? Or do you need to refrigerate it then melt it down again before pouring?

      I imagine the refrigerating is just to keep it safe until you want to use it. Pour when it's hot and melted. You can keep it in a fridge either before or after, it's just to preserve it if I'm not mistaken.

    What can I add to help it stand up to heat? It started reverting after five minutes out of the refrigerator....

    • @braedensfx3600
      @braedensfx3600  6 років тому +1

      EveryPixelCounts If it started to go soft then you have to much moisture in the mixture and not enough gelatin.
