Great video, and great information. I really appreciate videos like this one - very informative and educational to where I can implement some of the same processes within my own business. Thanks Mike.
Im the guy that wants a job done without having to meet or call. If I can do it all online or through text that works perfectly. When trying to get quotes from people in my area they have no price info or way to do it without having to listen to their sales pitch or some just dont answer so you have to play phone tag. I love how you are willing to quote the way you do. It saves everyone time, energy and it gives the home owner more time to consider the bid. Also it easily creates a written understanding that both parties can refer back to.
I honestly called companies around my area. Asked for pricing for my house, called at least 3 places, one high, one middle, and one low. Averaged it out, and continued from there.
I kind of do the same with the multiple thing on larger building...but I do factor in that I don't have to unroll and rollup nor drive to other locations...so, that, means that I reduce the price for the multiple.
Good stuff, man, really good stuff. A lot of greedy people out here for sure. I answered a Facebook group post for a driveway job the other day, there were 130 comments from different people and companies. I came in super aggressive to get my foot in the door. Got the job, he paid more than I asked even though I told him I'm willing to eat it and chock it up to experience. HUGE driveway, took forever. But I learned a lot. This was my first job with my trailer this year, I did 4 much smaller jobs last summer. I'm a restaurant guy trying to branch out, I really enjoy powerwashing and am looking forward to being good at it like I am at my day job😂😂😂
It’s always a foot in the door when you have washed for them and they know you are going to do a good job. I like quoting a job like this because it feels like a sure win most of the time.
Good video Mike. There's definitely more than one way and what works for you is your best way. Let us know if you get the buildings too. Nice job buddy!
I always tell my clients that if you get 5 bids I will be the guy in the middle right behind the 2nd highest guy. Mike would love to see a video on your door bags with candy and post card
I've found that when I quote face to face that I land about 80% of the jobs. Online quotes I land around 60%. So, depending on distance, I try to quote face to face
On a 2400sqft house does that include the 480sqft attached garage? The average house for me is 2800 plus garage or 3200 because there is a room over the garage.
I might I work at a school district here in Oklahoma and I have a pressure washing company and of course we have elementary schools with playgrounds just curious how you Price Those thank you love all your videos very knowledgeable
Hey Mike do you have a list of standard questions that you ask when corresponding with potential clients and would you do a video or list them in some way? I’m wondering if there are more than just square footage and how many levels someone has that are important to find out before quoting them.
Well, I don’t price per square foot. I have a stand price that every gets for the house that measures 2000-2400 square feet. I don’t usually talk numbers specifically.
@@CatfishLove it all depends on your area and it's VASTLY different between markets. Don't depend on Facebook or UA-cam to tell you how to price. Figure out your market prices, control your costs and market accordingly.
Thanks for another great vid. I have a question about facebook groups. What kind of groups do you join? All mine around me are buy and sells that do not allow businesses to post. What facebook groups do you join to post your ads? Thanks.
Every market is different. These are super easy washes. For these, my price is based on the time it will take, compared to a typical one story house. These are the equivalent to two (maybe 3) 1 story homes.
