I saw this live when you were making it. Keep up the great work! As for pulling Aries, I'm leaning toward pass because I lack a lot of pieces from big dumb idiots, but I can possibly build it when compensation comes. I'm deciding whether I want to play that or save for another deck.
Definitely opening up this week! I love me some Surtur decks. Plus, Ares looks like a very fun card with a unique mechanic.

I opened. Ares is going to be a part of the Surtur package going forward. I was waiting to pick up Misery as well so I got 2 new cards this week. Took 3 keys but 3 keys for 2 new cards is great IMO.

As of now, i'm generally going to avoid it, especially considering i'm more likely to run counter-surtr c3 than surtr.
The *only* exception will be if I somehow get a surtr variant
Yeah where’s Kang, I think it’s a great card- how is knowing what your opponent has in hand/likely to play in anyway bad- want him myself
I am opening for Ares this week. His ability is unique and he is not just a stat stick. I think he will fit in more decks than just Surtur. I would try to find a spot for him in that Mill deck.
Interesting choice on the Quicksilver. I was using Spider-Ham, but I have definitely had games already, where I wish I had a 1 drop.

Yes, I will open this week because I think Ares and the upcoming Starbrand card will be staples for Surtur's deck and I don't want to miss them.
Not planning to open as I’m missing too many pieces for Ares and Misery decks but I will have 4 keys and nothing in February excites me so we’ll see what the end of the week review brings

I'm opening this week. I really like Surtur/Skaar and I also want to try Ares in mill. I have the other 2 cards, but then again I am only 9 cards from collection complete and there's only one card I'm missing coming in any spotlights for the next 2 months (Makkari) so the returning cards have pretty much no bearing on my opening.
yeah I opened for this week. I love playing surtur every now and then and I needed misery. I ended up getting ms marvel too which is eh. Good to get the collection up I guess.

Opening because I'm planning on making the cycle for the mill cards that are coming out in the coming weeks. May end up stopping if I one shot misery until later in the week to see how Ares ends up doing.
one thing as far i play the game, i feel like, the mostly the last caches of the Months are most so okayishc caches. and same this time, if i not already had my Misery, i would go in for it, but so it's eady a skip for me. March will unthankfull cost me all my cache keys xD

I will go for Ares as I like big boys surtur decks 😊 and I miss Misery, so easy decision to go with 4 keys 😊 potential 2k tokens or a new card on top 🎉
I love a little Surtur distraction every so often, and play him a couple times a week. It is still a very good deck and I think Ares makes it better. I want to pull for it as soon as I get the USA compensation - BUT I will be waiting on him unless it just goes totally bananas (that's a high threshold... So basically I'll be waiting and deciding tokens-vs-keys at some point).

Im not totally hype with Ares but I dont have Misery so no matter what i think i will open this week just to get those two cards.

Definitely getting. Big Dumb Idiots is one of my favourite decks and this is an absolute perfect fit. Loving that Sauron deck too!
So many people say this but I haven't seen a big dumb idiots deck since the surtur season.
I also found the surtur decks to be mind numbingly boring.
What is it you like about big dumb decks?
I used tokens. I really like the big idiots/skaar style decks, so I knew 100% I wanted that card. It's a fairly simple card so pretty obviously what its going to do. "Same thing as the other 4/10+ but slightly different tradeoffs". No real surprise here.
I didn't like the variants at ALL, so it was a slam dunk for tokens over keys.

I'm skipping this week, I like the lore of Ares but I don't have Surtur and already have the other two... Maybe in Mill as you said but this is the type of card that I would like to see in future spotlight caches

I'll probably be opening even though I only have 3 keys, the 2K tokens puts me in the bracket to grab another series 5 card and I don't have a Misery variant so it's mostly hits for me.
I'm only Makkari off of complete right now, so the smart play would be to save until next week and grab Ares then but... it's just a game isn't it?

Hard agree on Ragnarok, as I always have it lower on my list than most, but I am always on the opposite side of the Guardians 2 dislike. It's the bottom of the 3, but I still love it.
I’m skipping this week, unless Ares turns out to be must buy. Had one key last week, gambled it and got Bullseye (I’’m sorry PG) so I’ll start saving up for the March spotlights. The Surtur deck getting fun and flavorful additions is nice though, I’d like to get Ares, Thunderbolt and Starbrand down the line.

This won`t be a difficult week to decide, skipping almost for sure, I don`t have all that *10 engine, not sutur, not cull, etc, so not Ares lol
(I do have 4+ keys and plan to wait until Tuesday) but no I do not plan on opening for ares as I have one of the cards in the spotlight and I predict ares will be replaced with the data mined star brand anyway. Cuz why would you have a 4/6 that might be a 4/12 when you can always have a 4/12 with a manageable downside

I am for sure buying Ares. I loved Surtur and the whole Norse November season. I played Surtur/Wiccan to infinite that season, so I'm starting there with Ares.
Plus, I'm in the U.S.A. so I've got bonus currencies coming my way.
I one tapped the past 3 caches, but I don't want to risk it. I want to wait, but, people are brewing with Ross, so its a good combo there for big dumb idiots. People forget how good deck thinning is, look at pre-nerfed America Chavez. But eh, gonna wait till OTA too. I'm missing too many cards for Big Dumb Idiots. So tldr; maybe lol depending on consensus.

I love all the guardians of galaxy movies. Thought the 2nd one was definitely the weakest, but really surprised that you hate it so much. I have never read any of the comics though, so I can see how that could completely change your perspective. As someone who read all the game of thrones books and hated the show way b4 everyone else did.
