That’s so sad the hear😟 I check the sales flier every eeek hoping that one day they would be on sale 😭 once in a blue moon I find some in the clearance aisle but they are usually broken items
@@NotoriousCrafts if it says "your price" on the sticker, they never go on sale. But once in a while the actual miniatures (like furniture, etc) will be in the clearance.
They did reduce a lot of the prices, mega reduction on house kits, and as far as I know all the prices are still reduced. This keeps them off the elegibility for further discount. They still do up to around 40% coupons for 1 regular priced item but the 60% is definitely gone! The houses are now just about 40-60% of what the regular price was. I got the Painted Lady with a 60% coupon while they were still doing those and the new price is right about what I paid. So, great deals still! Advice if you want to buy everything there or another place, be patient and just treat yourself to 1 or 2 items per week or every 2 weeks or even once a month. You'll eventually have everything you want. In the mean time, build and prepare your house as you treat yourself to the little rewards. Just store your unopened packages until move in day!! It'll be like Christmas when you go to pull it all out and start opening each 1 all at once!! Happy shopping!!
Wow that is amazing! I wish Hobby Lobby would bring back the coupons. I was so sad when they stopped doing the 40% off coupon not too long ago. And you are so lucky that the Hobby Lobby by you puts miniatures on sale. The one by me never does. I even asked the store manager when they will be on sale and he said that miniatures and dollhouses are a category they do not put on sale 😢 I check their website every week too but have never seen miniatures with discounts. And that is some great advice to buy them little by little! That way it will it be one giant expense and give me some time to save up some money
They are probably clearencing items that have been around awhile..I worked for them for over a year..this section never goes on sale..I'm guessing they are trying to move out old merch Noone is buying..
lol, I'd seen the assembled dollhouses at hobby lobby with a price listed. ::gasp:: I didn't realize it was an assembled price, though. Thought they were just displays with the kit price. That explains why it was so high! Thanks for the info :)
Hehe I thought the same thing the first I went to Hobby Lobby😁 and thought I wouldn’t be able to afford a dollhouse for a very long time 😆 the boxed kits are much more reasonably priced
I went to a Hobby Lobby after an oil change last weekend and bought one of those Mayberry Street miniatures for a weekend project and when I saw the kit price for the dollhouses, I honestly considered buying one just for the heck of it.
Very nice tour.. I'm restarting the hobby I did in childhood and liked to see what things Hobby Lobby had to offer. This is the first video on miniatures that took you on a tour like this....Thank You ! ....🏡
I actually use my Barbie 5.5 or 6 inch Chelsea dolls in all my 1/12 scale dollhouses. I make them look like adults by making them different clothes, giving them earrings and the male dolls also have facial hair. I use the older Kelly dolls as older kids, etc .I've able to find pretty vintage and antique items that fit my uses.
Thank you sooooo much for this video!! I never realized that they had kits of the display houses that were cheaper. I've been wanting to customize a dollhouse for awhile now but couldn't justify the price.
I’m so happy that my video helped! It can be confusing at first but it’s nice that the box kits are much cheaper than the prebuilt houses. They are still up there in price, but at least you save some money than buying a prebuilt
I'm saving up for one for my daughter, I can't wait to paint it and everything then surprise her on her birthday. I love these, I'm from Charleston SC and a couple of them remind me of home. I live across the country in Washington state now
I used to work for Hobby Lobby as a cashier, they never have any doll house minitures, house kits,or the small scale minitures on sale..and anything in the store marked with a" YOUR PRICE" yellow sticker never goes on sale..even when they had the 40% off scannable sticker..those items are never on sale and couldn't be reduced..I worked there over a year..and that dept section of Dollhouse/minitures/Mulberry items never went on sale..its unfortunate because they can be pricey..I just subscribed to your channel, excited to see all your projects..I bought the Chocolatier shop, the music studio, and the large beach house..I only complete the Chocolatier shop..it took 2 weeks to complete and was fun..its very time consuming..you need alot of patience..

I purchased a Mayberry St. 24 scale kit on clearance for $7.99 reg $19.99 in HL clearance section. They had the electrical and electrical how to booklet on clearance also. Was suprised to find them there. 8/8/22
I buy the used dollhouses that other people sale and redo them, It's a hobby, very expensive hobby! And that's with used stuff and trying to make them myself. I've learned a lot including loom weaving and loom knitting.
Another awesome idea! Dollhouses get so expensive and that great you were able to find a used one for less. I like finding used miniatures and I’ve started making many myself too
I love Hobby Lobby but their supply is very limited for miniatures so I go usually to etsy or minimum world, a dollhouse store that's located in London. I love this hobby
I know this is 2 years old. This spring, they actually had a few miniatures on clearance. The furniture sets that were discounted were incredibly cheap. Also got trim sets for about $1. Very rare to see these discounted at Hobby lobby.
My Hobby Lobby in central Texas has most of their Cir-Kit products deeply discounted. I nabbed the big wiring kits for $20 each, the tape rolls were like $3.
I really wish we had a store like this in Sweden!! I order all my minis from Holland or Spain and they are much more expensive than this! We have different house kits and it’s hard to find one for under $300. This store looks like a dream come true!!
This was good info. My Hobby Lobby has low stock on all miniatures and houses thru out the year. They just never seem to stock the section and I go enough to know. 😐

This is what I really hate about living in a relatively rural part of the country. Hobby Lobby is great but they do not have many locations. The Victoria Farmhouse is so beautiful and yellow is a great color for it! Did you get the discount in the Hobby Lobby store? I would love to find a discounted one
I think a lot of the furniture may be too big. Some of the small house accessories may work. I’ve seen people take their dolls with them to Hobby Lobby to see how they fit in to the items.
What?!?! 🥺😢 I really hope that’s not true but it would not surprise me either. Not many people buy miniatures and the merchandise sits on their selves for a long time.
Do the big doll houses open up from the back where do they open up? Also I just got my love for a miniatures and do you think it’s a good idea to buy one that is not premade or premade?
Most of the dollhouse are fully open in the back. And that’s so exciting you just found your love for miniatures! If you are very crafty and have experience with wood it will be easier for you to buy a kit and make it yourself. But you can always learn this, every dollhouse comes with instructions. There are also many videos on UA-cam to help too😊 it also makes the dollhouse more special if you make it yourself. Question... do the miniatures that are cheaper can be stacked? Like can we build a bigger house by putting them together as we build them? Or they are just an individual project at a time?
Hi! They are individual projects, each is a separate building. Some of them are individual rooms, like bedrooms, so maybe those can be stacked or put next to each other
Do you know of any store who sells 1;24 scale furniture already premade? I bought a Melissa and Doug fold and go dollhouse for my grandson and it comes with just a bare amount of furniture. Wow that’s so shocking that Hobby Lobby is getting rid of dollhouses and miniatures so suddenly! That’s a good idea to build your own, dollhouses are so expensive
Hello! I would recommend starting with a smaller kit if this is your first time making one of these. It could be good practice. Unless you feel confident starting with a larger set
Dollhouse sizes usually refer to size in “scale”. Dollhouse scale refers to the ratio of a dollhouse or dollhouse miniature to an object in real life. So the large dollhouse on the top shelf are 1/12 scale, so in that case one inch equals 12 inches.
That is a good question. Everyone that I’ve been to has them but that’s just in my city. I’m not sure about other places. If your store doesn’t have them you can always shop on their website
Understanding scale can get complicated very quickly. I still refer to size charts. To determine the scale of your dollhouse you will have to measure it. The most common type of scale is 1:12. So 1 inch in that scale equals 1 foot in full size. For dollhouses, the floor to ceiling height can be helpful in determining the scale. So if the floor the ceiling height is 8-10 inches, mostly likely the house is 1:12 scale. Ceiling height for 1:24 scale is approximately 4-5 inches.
I have a question trying to make a dollhouse and my main room is 40ft by 40ft so I think it would be 3 3/10 in then I go to the hall way in real life I have it at 50in ( side to side)but I put that I the dollhouse 1/12 calculator and it's saying it would be 4.17in thinking that is way wrong please help
Hello! I’ll try to help in the best way that I can 😊So each wall in the main room is 40 feet long? Do you want the dollhouse in the main room? You are trying to figure out how big your dollhouse should be, right?
@@jentaheart your real house is 40 feet long? Not sure what your question is. 1:12 scale is standard dollhouse scale and means each foot in real life is one INCH in the dollhouse. So a 40 foot wall would be 40 inches. Half scale is half the size, the 1:24 referred to, and Barbie size is twice as big as standard or 1:6 scale.
What a great deal! I also saw those on clearance at the Hobby Lobby by me. Sadly didn’t pick it up though, I was already way past my monthly craft budget 😅
Just saw some in the store yesterday and was really excited but disappointed as they don’t fit 11 in fashion dolls like Barbie as they are what I primarily collect. If they did fit I would totally get one of those premade doll houses. The dream houses Barbie comes out with now are so tacky and unrealistic
A young kid generally won't be able to do those Mayberry street kits. Extremely fiddly. Even as an adult who does many small crafts, I was frustrated many times.

During lockdown one channel i watch built a house and furnished it using cardboard and other stuff she had. Bentley House Minis
How do u read the measurements for the parts of house?
Dollhouse sizes usually refer to size in “scale”. Dollhouse scale refers to the ratio of a dollhouse or dollhouse miniature to an object in real life. So the large dollhouse on the top shelf are 1/12 scale, so in that case one inch equals 12 inches.

That is a good question. Everyone that I’ve been to has them but that’s just in my city. I’m not sure about other places. If your store doesn’t have them you can always shop on their website
@@NotoriousCrafts thank you! I’ll have to go check. Love the selection, Such cute little things
So the big wooden house kits won’t fit barbies?
They will fit some of the smaller ones like Chelsea dolls
Do u sell overseas the assembled dollhouses.
They do not sell these overseas
I bought a used house. How do I know what size it is?
Understanding scale can get complicated very quickly. I still refer to size charts.
To determine the scale of your dollhouse you will have to measure it. The most common type of scale is 1:12. So 1 inch in that scale equals 1 foot in full size.
For dollhouses, the floor to ceiling height can be helpful in determining the scale. So if the floor the ceiling height is 8-10 inches, mostly likely the house is 1:12 scale. Ceiling height for 1:24 scale is approximately 4-5 inches.
Hopefully that helps!
i saw that same big house at hobby libby yesterday it was 119$
Amazing! That’s a good deal
I wish we have this in Australia 😔
Unfortunately Hobby Lobby is only in the US :(
Μου αρεσουν πολυ τα κουκλοσπιτα .Εδω στην Ελλαδα δεν εχω βρει .Ειναι πολυ ωραιο χομπι .
Yes dollhouses are a nice hobby! Hope you find some in Greece!
Where is the shop? Where is the City?
They have many locations and also have an online store
What do u with rhe shingles?
The shingles can be glued on
I have been in many times when they were 30% off
Wow! Amazing! I have never seen that. Is it only at your location you have seen it? The one by me never puts them on sale
@@NotoriousCrafts it goes in cycles. I have shopped in Missouri, Mississippi, and San Antonio TX. It's just just and miss i think.
@@NotoriousCrafts just the hall way the main room is going to be in the middle of the house as a cherry blossom tree and garden room
What about littlest pet shop?
I’m not familiar with it
I just purchased my kit Coastline cottage on clearance yesterday for my granddaughter. It was $34.99 down to $17.49.
It’s so sad they do not make nice Barbie houses! I also never liked the ones they come out with for Barbies dream house, even when I was a child lol.
The food items are good forBarbies.
That’s awesome!! 🙌
I got one for my daughter before my divorce so since I am on her dodo list(do not talk etc.,etc) I dont know if its still around.
Awe! Hopefully she still has it
A young kid generally won't be able to do those Mayberry street kits. Extremely fiddly. Even as an adult who does many small crafts, I was frustrated many times.
Yes you are right. I’ve done a few Mayberry kits this past year and they are not that easy to build for kids
Is it in india...
I think Hobby Lobby is only in the US
It’s called 1/12 scale, not 12th scale.
Yes I don’t know why I said 12th scale 🫣
@@NotoriousCraftsno worries I completely understood what you meant. ❤️
Thanks to Biden/Kamala's inflation I can no longer afford to buy dollhouses. Sad times
Yeah it’s so sad how much inflation has risen 😢 everything is so expensive now
