That is most ingenious handcrafted twig stove I have ever seen and a badly sprained ankle. About the only thing to do here is tape it tight and tighten your boots as much as you can. These are slow to heal, unfortunately. I hope it wasn't too far back to the truck. Hope you are feeling better now. I have been able to see English subtitles previously.
I am a trauma nurse & Always carry a roll of electrical tape. You can splint your ankle over your sock & it has enough elasticity in it to secure the joint without constricting blood flow. A British Royal Marine taught me that hack & it has saved me on more than one occasion.

@@Swedwoods Hey Swedwoods! Not sure if you celebrate Thanksgiving but a happy, although belated one to you & your family. Not sure why, it could've been the expression on your face around 3:20, but you looked like you were about to have a good laugh at something? I saw somebody using these things called "gear ties" & I guess they act like overly large bread twist ties that you may see on bread that you may get from the store. No idea how good these are, how long they could be or much about them but, it looks like they could come in handy for some kind of build? It was Camping With Steve on UA-cam that I saw these "gear ties" on. Don't know if you ever watch him or not. Big fan of the both of you!
@@Swedwoods PS- on 11:49, you mentioned the 1st snow; my area had its "3rd snow" by 11/22, so the day before Thanksgiving. Weather only gave us 2 to 4 inches but it was that wet, heavy stuff snow that you can easily make snowballs from. 1st 2 times we only got a dusting. Snow from 11/22 melted away pretty quickly although you can still see some traces here & there.
Nature is simply: it works or not. You will make it or not. We all out there can be prepared or not - in the end of the day the mindset will be the judge: and you saw, you’ve made it! Congrats! Recovering soon I hope and no great video of yours it’s worth to risk health!
You are a hero and a creator who deserves support. I have been following you for more than 3 years from KSA. It is okay, God willing, and I hope you will be better.
As always, thanks for the film, I can see the subtitle in my language now, really nice :) Take care of your foot, bless it will recovery quickly and well!
My mind aways wanders , when I'm watching your videos , I didn't see what happened , even though I went back as far as the drone shot .( I'll go again ) My mlnd wonders because , I'm almost in a trance , your videos make me feel like I'm in the wilderness , and walking in heaven on Earth .
What we just witnessed, should be an inspiration to all of us. After suffering an ankle injury, took the time to set up a camera and limp back-and-forth. Badly hurt yet determined to get the shot. WOW! My father told me never to tangle with a Swede. They are some of the toughest people on the planet! 🇸🇪 I have a new respect for you Swedwoods, and I sincerely hope you feel better.
Adding to my earlier comment-this is an excellent example for us all. Accidents can happen to anyone at anytime. You must have emergency gear and a strategy in place before you leave the safety of your car. Just because it hasn’t happened to you yet doesn’t mean it won’t. That sort of viewpoint is normalcy bias-and that will get you in trouble. Always have plan B. Mr. Swedwoods had a means of calling for help if necessary and we should all do exactly the same. Thanks so much for your sharing your experience-good and bad!
Good afternoon, friend! Maybe the shoes have a stiff sole. I myself like to wander in the woods, but in boots with wide but soft soles. I also sprained my foot once in hard-soled boots. It was all right. Check for x-rays to make sure there are no cracks. Most importantly, get well. You have beautiful videos with great nature! I watch your channel all the time and wish you great creative success! 🙏🌲🌳
Take care of yourself. Ankle injuries can take awhile to heal. Especially if you keep putting weight on it. Thanks for persevering and completing the video.
Your videos are good for my soul and offer such calm as I struggle with PTSD and anxiety. The woods have always felt like home to me. Thank you for bringing them to me through your videos. Sorry to hear about the ankle, I wish you a speedy recovery and feel better soon!
Hello my friend Everything started so good then your little accident , must have hurt really bad . I hope you have enough time to rest your leg. It was a good video and the Mushrooms omg you know how much I love them. Your food Everything looked really good. I hope to see you soon again make sure u heal fast then many people wait for your videos. All the best 👍
Same thing happened to me once, but I was so fortunate to have company. Oh , and always try to cool the spot ASAP, so that you keep the swelling within limits. Get well soon!
Injured and alone in the vast wilderness, the sense of anxiety is overwhelming in ordinary people. Taking matters into your own hands, crafting a makeshift cane, and continuing the camping journey is truly remarkable. It serves as a valuable reference for unforeseen circumstances. I'm really looking forward to more amusing footage in the future. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Hi my gentle giant I enjoy you're vids so much. Yes sprains are hard to heal. I shattered my ankle this year that's even harder to heal. Keep ice on it you need to let it rest some. Hope to see you camping in the afternoon you heal. Take care of yourself 😊😊
Sorry about your ankle buddy! I know exactly how it feels. I rolled mine 8 months ago and it still bothers me. They take for ever to heal! Hopefully yours goes quicker, we need you out there!😄
Excellent Video as always, I wish you a speedy recovery. Excellent skills and tasty looking grub. Really liked the twig stove grill . I will be looking forward to the next video.
I salute you for putting in the foot footage. As well as painful, the post-accident embarrassment must have been intense. But any hiker who says he hasn't banged himself up once or twice is a liar.
Wow, man, you are some sort of Spartan soldier. I think I would have called for help the second I sprained my ankle. Hope you get well pretty soon. The world needs your videos, hehe.
Hi #Swedwoods. I'm glad I read your description first so that I knew your injury was coming. As most others have written, I too hope that you have a speedy recovery! Regarding the stunning scenery, my favorite shot this time was when you were roasting the bacon-wrapped sausage and focused on that dead standing tree for a while... beautiful! May you and yours have a wonderful season of Holidays.

Awesome video like always, especially so given the injury! And he STILL does the shots of him walking away where he has to backtrack to get the camera! I burned my hand really bad one night, wrapped it up and had to wait for dawn, break camp, hike 2.5 miles/4 km back to the car, 2 hour drive home then a trip to the ER. It sucked! And the older you get the longer it takes to heal. Hope you’re good as new soon!
The subtitles are in English here in the US. A doctor once told me that I would rather my foot was broken because sprains were so painful and slow to heal. And he was correct-it took a long time. Be patient and do what your physical therapists says and you’ll be fine.
