jamie foy is one of the best pro skaters that i like to watch and also listen to. the way he can articulate what goes through a skateboarders mind before and during a trick is phenomenal
So much respect to Jamie. One of the semi older new generation skaters that are pro and real as ever. His process and understanding of himself is so respectful.
When my dad was growing up in the late 60’s/early 70’s, he got to witness a pool session where the skaters would charge shit just for a photo then absolutely get wrecked right after
First thing that comes to mind is Penny had a cover front blunting the Dwyer ledge back in the day. I never saw the footage of it. Now I'm wondering if he ever landed it. That cover was legendary.
@@starlitshadows I had to Google what ledge you’re referring too and you’re right, I never saw a footage of that either. I did come across a Transworld(I think) article that confirmed he never actually landed nor bothered to go back to land it. He just does whatever he feels like doing

jamie is incredible and so legit
“Each sesh was only like 30 mins” he just like me fr
Great guest. So honest and straightforward
Foy is an anomaly, he’s so good
It's so humble and honorable for him to admit the photo was of an instance he didn't land so he went back and landed it. Perfection at its finest.
Tosh Townsend's nosegrind on that rail was sooo classic. You got down pretty nice too but it's just one of those tricks branded into my memory.

Jamie Foy trying to single-handedly rename 'flips' to 'flicks' in skateboarding terminology 😂
Flip + trick = flick
wannabe rapper vibes
For real though haha
That rail is in lake Isabella ca 😎 grew up there hoping someone would eventually do this rail! Seemed impossible as a kid

He was speaking on the sent email with the photos attached obviously
