@@CristichiEX I saw it in someone else’s comment, but I looked it up, from what I have found in a US civil court, lawyers take a different oath and generally don’t make statements abiding the “no lying” oath lol. Witnesses however do take an oath to solely speak the truth, while lawyers take an oath to handle with professionalism, intergrity and respect. This can however differ per state.
It is, I can't believe this evil woman has gotten this far with her lies. If anything, we can only thank Johnny for paving the way for men in this situation, he will have helped so many men in abuse situations and facing the same defamation issues. Chill. it's difficult bc he litteraly there's circumstancial evidence only. No hard proof of abuse, never made police reports, no medical records reports at emergency services claiming abuse, no audio or video where there is abuse recorded. He never came out with anything until, she made false claims way after them divorcing. To us is pretty obvious what the picture paints but that can't be enough to condemn someone bc then it can be done to anybody. But still even if it feels unjust right now, you need to be glad that you can't be condemned without proof of anything either. However he can win here. Bc it's a defamation trial not an abuse trial. So it's upon her to prove she didn't lie, that he abused her. Which she can't, bc while she kept secretly recording him, it's very clear That the relationship was toxic but he never was physically abusive nor even verbally, he was the one always to walk away in conflicts. Honestly the woman has clearly a borderline personality disorder like the court psychanalist who evaluated said. Bc anyone normal would realise that those recordings don't give any sympathy for her supposed emotional distress that she thinks he is responsible for. If anything it shows how manipulative, gaslighting and hysterical she is. And that if there was verbal abuse at the very least, it came from her. I think he will also win bc her defense doesn't make sense, she can't prove abuse, if she says she was abused. And they can prove she talked to the press and defamed him, which is not just defamation but breach of their divorce settlement of 8mil. So she's gonna give that 8mil back and he's also sueing for damages for defamation. Even with Aquaman 2 where she will get 10mil, she's in the red. And her carreer is over anyways.

There is, but judges don’t like using contempt unless absolutely necessary. Something like this is normally handled with the judge taking their phone and making them check it in with security until trial is over when ever they enter the court house or just kicking them out. Contempt is normally reserved for when someone actually films or takes pictures of the jury.
Her lawyer can deny knowledge all she wants but her team is blatantly violating court rules ON CAMERA! Clear case for contempt of court for the whole team.
The bias of the judge is clear. She believes them that they didn't know? Ridiculous. They tricked the court into thinking Ambers girlfriend was part of the legal team and presented fabricated evidence.
Can lawyers and anyone else on the legal team in court be found guilty of doing something like that? Elaine claiming she has no knowledge, doesn't know the person, in this case Eve, but there's video evidence saying otherwise, what could happen? Same goes for cropped screenshots of SM posts being presented as evidence to discredit/remove a witness, only for the original to show it was a lie, can they get in trouble for that? I hope so, cos Amber's team have played dirty in this case. Some of the photo evidence presented turned out to be edited/altered in some way, isn't that basically fabricating evidence at this point? I don't know the US legal system, but that, at least, can't be ethical and is against some rules, if not just outright illegal, right?

Thank you for saying that. As a survivor of domestic violence when I finally left him he tried to kill me and a girlfriend who was driving, by trying to push the car I was in of the road. When we finally flagged a police car the officer told us he didn't get involved in marriage quarrels! Everyone knew in his family but nobody wanted to get involved. Abused women are fending alone but Amber has put our survival a a giant risk all over again. And we all know it's about money. She is disgusting.I hope she doesn't get a penny.

I agree. I've been 13 yrs and I still have flashbacks and question myself why why why did I put up with such abuse from this man. And I'm far from the woman I was but she does shine through occasionally. And I'm the one who has been in a 8 year relationship and he died, breaking my heart. Then a 2 year fantastic relationship and he died suddenly, breaking my total soul 💔

This is a great observation! A very important thing to realize is that Johnny has not ever made a slimy, muckraking comment about Amber or anyone in her sphere. HE has not leaked any information or made any statements on his own. He has answered questions in depositions and in court. But, he has made no statements personal or legal to anyone but his legal team and maybe a friend like Paul Bettiney (sp?) or maybe his sister. IF things have been spoken about or leaked that is pro-Johnny, it has been done appropriately by his brilliant legal team. To your point in this post: Neither Johnny or his legal team NEEDS to jump into the ring of nasty, muckraking regarding Amber or her circle is loons. They KNOW the public watching will do it FOR them. It has been proven in the past ....especially during the Europe trial. So, Johnny and ALL of his legal team only need to concentrate on his LEGAL arguments and what they must deal with in court. (I'm not saying they don't need to catch things like this issue and bring it to the judge's attention. But, they certainly didn't and don't need to be sure these kinds of things make it outside the courtroom. They know those on Johnny's side will be SURE this information reaches every corner of the WORLD that they can reach. The best part is also that Johnny and his team continue to be perceived as the professionals that they are......who's goal is to clear him of this reputation of committing DV. Even when they have many legs to stand on, IF they engage in Mudslinging, it cuts their professional reputation down a notch or two.....which doesn't look as good as it could! @Advanced Driving right. But the UK trial was decided by a judge only. He had guidelines based on UK law for definition. It's a bit different when you have only one person deciding and that person is the judge. Here, there is a jury of, what....thirteen people? Either way, there will be a difference is the process with a jury of more than one and that jury being non-court related professionals and non-professionals, men and women and, hopefully a variety of races and cultural backgrounds. I certainly expect Johnny to win. Especially after hearing the audio tapes. But, we will have to wait and see.

Im gonna say this, Im a male, who was in a DV relationship with a female, in which case I was the victim. And it is astounding to me how many similarities psychologically/behavior wise and even aesthetically/physically, how she looks, her mannerisms all alight with my volatile and violent ex. I for one am glad she's being exposed. People need to comprehend you can't conduct yourself like this in a society. If you do, there are consequences or, you need institutionalization.

I’m a paralegal and I have been kicked out of plenty of court rooms even though I’m part of the “legal team” so this is unheard of to allow those shenanigans!

Good, it should scare you. It's even scarier for average Joe because he wouldn't have all these resources to fight the lies. I've seen this play out, I have an example in my brother's wife. She's abusive, when people outside get involved she plays the victim, tries to convince everyone my brother is crazy when he says she's been throwing punches. Not a single mark on her, he has bruises and still she plays victim. The thing is nothing ever happens to her. If I found myself in a situation like that, I would break her bones just so at least I go down for a reason and she'll learn a lesson.

When I was 7 there a week where I've been smacked by my mom because of it and couldn't leave my room. Nothing happened to her when my mom found out she was lying. My ex gf told me she had been r4p3d, found out through her best friend that's a lie. There was no reason for that lie. Some of them likely know there were issues between Depp and Amber, but not the details. They likely wouldn't take anyone saying they don't have any knowledge, as it hard to believe, and too much of a risk. Honestly though, I'm not sure of who the jury was picked for. If it was by Amber's side, than they likely tried to find people with some knowledge. If it's Depp's side, then likely those that have next to no knowledge of the case. And if they were picked to be neutral, than they likely tried to pick people that are a mix and simply don't have any understanding of the problems between Amber and Deep, so they can be fully influenced by the evidence, rather than outside opinions. These are assumptions, so don't take this as fact, but I believe this is how they would have decided the jurors.
This makes Amber and her entire legal team look shady, sneaky, unprofessional, and dishonest. Just more proof she had planned to try and take everything from Johnny no matter how she had to do it. That Eve chick should have been held in contempt as should her attorney for claiming she knew nothing about it.
It's so wrong that the jury cannot know of misconduct on the part of the legal teams during trial. This makes no sense. Why protect them? If there are no consequences why wouldn't they continue to do it? If the Jury is unaware, they are also lacking Important context that could influence their decisions, as it should be allowed to.
I just don't understand how it got that far in the first place. Phones aren't allowed in court so how did the judge even look at the "evidence" without going "why the hell you got a phone in my court room". I agree with this totally. I was also a victim of domestic abuse for 20 years and nobody accepted this everyone believed my ex wife and what she said was never challenged by anyone. His attorneys are falling asleep at the wheel. The fact that they missed the fact that a date wasn’t on the instagram post is beyond me. Also, once the judge found this out, sure she was furious, but she should’ve advised the Jury of this and therefore I removed the witness based on a lie!! The attorneys should’ve gotten in major trouble over this, instead of basically an, oh well. Wasn’t AH and her attorneys passing cell phones and notes to Eve? Of course they knew. They’re no different than AH. She got attorneys that have no problem lying! And Omg, she so got this beautiful baby for sympathy. It was a very calculated move by the evil AH!
Just wanted to thank you for covering this trial. I’m a survivor of domestic abuse myself, and my abuser has gaslit me & manipulated & lied to the courts to take my son, only to avoid paying child support. (I’m getting off track, sorry…) Due to the trauma of all that, watching this trial was really triggering for me and I just had to stop watching. But I’m hardcore rooting for Johnny, so really appreciate the recaps of the important moments!! Thanks, 🍿 🌎 !
ya it sucks. my wufe (no ex) cheated on me and got all 3 kids and did nothing to anyone at all. she gets child support wellfare and anything else. i paid for her shcooling for 11 years and she got it all. im left working like a dog eating ramen to survive. she witholds my kids against teh court order. awaiting another contempt case I filed to get thrown out as usual...

First I hope this trial brings forth just how many men suffer with abuse because they don't come forward because they feel they wouldn't look masculine. Secondly, she is the exact reason why women who are actually abused aren't believed. She is the reason for the need of the me too movement.
It’s non admissible testimony so the jury won’t get it & it can’t be entered for the jury to see cause it’s also roses concern of perjury. But reaking a judges ban is also contempt of court so that can’t be given to the jury cause it become it’s grounds for a mistrial under UK law.
I don't think it's right for ANY information or evidence to not be entered. I've never understood this. I mean, I know the reasons given for it not to be entered, I just don't agree with those reasons.

I never had violence on me, but did have an ex who cried down the phone to her mother as I was sleeping downstairs, she was so putting it on like she was choking from the tears then she turns her phone off, can you imagine what her poor mum must have thought? So later that day police knock on the door and she's like 'ooohhh yeerrr my phone I forgot tee he he' do the police separate us and they're asking me if I was beating her!! They was asking her if she's safe and okay' it really hit home how as a man of never be believed, it scared me and she did this to me in purpose, she did it alot from crying on my street so the whole street see this tall guy and a petite woman who do they believe? It's scary!! I hate violence, but I'd be lying if I never wanted to hurt someone but I'd never do it

I honestly hope despite all these things being exposed about AH and her "legal" team, she does not get off on a technicality, as her cronies are trying to push for in their opening statement. I've seen it happen so many times where what is happening is really obvious, however, the jury does not feel convinced on there being enough evidence to put the "bad guy" away. I'm no expert but I feel the body language says it ALL. Really rooting for JD to have the chance to clear his name and win his defamation case.

How the hell did anyone get away with taking a phone into a courthouse is what I want to know? Out here in the real world, if you have a phone when you go through the security, you’re asked to leave it elsewhere.
Members of the press and legal counsel are allowed to bring phones in for their jobs, but press members have STRICT agreements that they dont speak anything live from the case and it is purely for note taking purposes, and legal counsel have them for obvious reasons of being able to contact each other quietly or also use it to bring up evidence or make notes. Abusing the privileges normally come with hefty fines and/or removal from the court depending on how nice the judge is. She easily could have had it on the grounds of being a journalist or lying to be part of the legal counsel, hence why she is in first row. First row members in a court are also often reserved for close family and legal counsel members. Most often interns sit there to watch closely how to act and file in court.

Witnesses however do take an oath to solely speak the truth, while lawyers take an oath to handle with professionalism, intergrity and respect. This can however differ per state.

There is, but judges don’t like using contempt unless absolutely necessary. Something like this is normally handled with the judge taking their phone and making them check it in with security until trial is over when ever they enter the court house or just kicking them out. Thank you for saying that. As a survivor of domestic violence when I finally left him he tried to kill me and a girlfriend who was driving, by trying to push the car I was in of the road. When we finally flagged a police car the officer told us he didn't get involved in marriage quarrels! Everyone knew in his family but nobody wanted to get involved. Abused women are fending alone but Amber has put our survival a a giant risk all over again. And we all know it's about money. She is disgusting.I hope she doesn't get a penny.

It’s said that the public is doing a better job at proving how slimey Amber and her legal team are. I mean I have no doubt that Johnny will win, but I feel like at this point the court should already be done with it because we can clearly see how toxic Amber is. I hope the Jury sees it too and is ready to find her guilty when that time comes.
This is a great observation!
A very important thing to realize is that Johnny has not ever made a slimy, muckraking comment about Amber or anyone in her sphere. HE has not leaked any information or made any statements on his own. He has answered questions in depositions and in court. But, he has made no statements personal or legal to anyone but his legal team and maybe a friend like Paul Bettiney (sp?) or maybe his sister.
IF things have been spoken about or leaked that is pro-Johnny, it has been done appropriately by his brilliant legal team.
To your point in this post: Neither Johnny or his legal team NEEDS to jump into the ring of nasty, muckraking regarding Amber or her circle is loons. They KNOW the public watching will do it FOR them. It has been proven in the past ....especially during the Europe trial. So, Johnny and ALL of his legal team only need to concentrate on his LEGAL arguments and what they must deal with in court. (I'm not saying they don't need to catch things like this issue and bring it to the judge's attention. But, they certainly didn't and don't need to be sure these kinds of things make it outside the courtroom. They know those on Johnny's side will be SURE this information reaches every corner of the WORLD that they can reach.
The best part is also that Johnny and his team continue to be perceived as the professionals that they are......who's goal is to clear him of this reputation of committing DV. Even when they have many legs to stand on, IF they engage in Mudslinging, it cuts their professional reputation down a notch or two.....which doesn't look as good as it could!

@Advanced Driving right. But the UK trial was decided by a judge only. He had guidelines based on UK law for definition. It's a bit different when you have only one person deciding and that person is the judge.
Here, there is a jury of, what....thirteen people? Either way, there will be a difference is the process with a jury of more than one and that jury being non-court related professionals and non-professionals, men and women and, hopefully a variety of races and cultural backgrounds.
I certainly expect Johnny to win. Especially after hearing the audio tapes. But, we will have to wait and see.

When I was 7 there a week where I've been smacked by my mom because of it and couldn't leave my room. Nothing happened to her when my mom found out she was lying.

@@dianac2498 With high profile trial like this, it's likely more about the level of knowledge, than outright not knowing. Some of them likely know there were issues between Depp and Amber, but not the details. They likely wouldn't take anyone saying they don't have any knowledge, as it hard to believe, and too much of a risk. Honestly though, I'm not sure of who the jury was picked for. If it was by Amber's side, than they likely tried to find people with some knowledge. If it's Depp's side, then likely those that have next to no knowledge of the case. And if they were picked to be neutral, than they likely tried to pick people that are a mix and simply don't have any understanding of the problems between Amber and Deep, so they can be fully influenced by the evidence, rather than outside opinions. These are assumptions, so don't take this as fact, but I believe this is how they would have decided the jurors.

It's so wrong that the jury cannot know of misconduct on the part of the legal teams during trial. This makes no sense. Why protect them? If there are no consequences why wouldn't they continue to do it? If the Jury is unaware, they are also lacking Important context that could influence their decisions, as it should be allowed to.
I just don't understand how it got that far in the first place. Phones aren't allowed in court so how did the judge even look at the "evidence" without going "why the hell you got a phone in my court room". Like how were these lawyers not reprimanded or held in contempt pulling a phone out just to show the judge even if she didn't know it belonged to the scumbag journalist live tweeting in the court... They ought to review her footage too, guarantee she's been showing things to the other jurors and spreading lies...

I agree with this totally. I was also a victim of domestic abuse for 20 years and nobody accepted this everyone believed my ex wife and what she said was never challenged by anyone.
At 60 it was a huge shock to me to flee the family home to go into refuge.

His attorneys are falling asleep at the wheel. The fact that they missed the fact that a date wasn’t on the instagram post is beyond me. Also, once the judge found this out, sure she was furious, but she should’ve advised the Jury of this and therefore I removed the witness based on a lie!! The attorneys should’ve gotten in major trouble over this, instead of basically an, oh well. Wasn’t AH and her attorneys passing cell phones and notes to Eve? Of course they knew. They’re no different than AH. She got attorneys that have no problem lying!

ya it sucks. my wufe (no ex) cheated on me and got all 3 kids and did nothing to anyone at all. she gets child support wellfare and anything else. i paid for her shcooling for 11 years and she got it all. im left working like a dog eating ramen to survive. she witholds my kids against teh court order. awaiting another contempt case I filed to get thrown out as usual...

How the hell did anyone get away with taking a phone into a courthouse is what I want to know? Out here in the real world, if you have a phone when you go through the security, you’re asked to leave it elsewhere.
Members of the press and legal counsel are allowed to bring phones in for their jobs, but press members have STRICT agreements that they dont speak anything live from the case and it is purely for note taking purposes, and legal counsel have them for obvious reasons of being able to contact each other quietly or also use it to bring up evidence or make notes. Abusing the privileges normally come with hefty fines and/or removal from the court depending on how nice the judge is. She easily could have had it on the grounds of being a journalist or lying to be part of the legal counsel, hence why she is in first row. First row members in a court are also often reserved for close family and legal counsel members. Most often interns sit there to watch closely how to act and file in court.
