But I think when Brian said that this song was about "nobody in particular", it was his way of dismissing that person as a part of his life. I saw it as him "forgetting" about that person and no longer letting them be a priority of his. Then again, I could be looking too deep. Music is, after all, all about perception.
It's just astonishing. I mean, with all these years, they still can pull off songs like this. A song that goes directly to your heart, smashes it, as soon as it starts playing. And I believe there must be lots of bands that are struggling for just ONE song like this. My admiration to Placebo. I just don't know how to appreciate all their great music. It's been like 16 years now? Unbelievable.
