This takes me back, when I started playing golf as a kid, we used to go up to the football'soccer' fields and make or own holes up, even went over the top of a forest, great video jim
Your attitude towards the swing is awesome - I am trying to teach my children the same philosophy. I imagine this course is how golf was played for centuries!
Jim, great video! watching and listening to you work your way through each of the 9 holes was absolutely gold for me! love the thought process… more please! 🙏🏻 ⛳️ Thanks! #staystillmyfriends #cupsaboveground #hometownUSA⛳️
I love this swing and ball flight! However, I am the antithesis of a lead arm athlete. If I ever broke my right hand, I would require help with the most simplest of daily activities! I am SO right hand dominant. But, I make this swing and setup work for me, by simply making myself stay closed and not allowing my right shoulder and arm to come over my left. I am still using my right side, but in a more passive and less aggressive manner. When it’s good, it’s GREAT! I want to rejoin the JVGA, but it’s not as affordable, for me, as it once was. Hopefully I can make it happen soon. JV swing is gold! Thanks Jim, for all the free content!
Grateful for your kind reply and for a bit of encouragement. I hope to join your academy in the coming weeks. What I’ve experienced up to now has given me fresh motivation toward an improved game.
Hi Jim, I came across one of your videos and I went a couple of times to the range. I do not want to jinx it, but I’ve hit the most pure shots in a long long time. Let’s see if I can take it to the course. Thanks and greetings from Argentina!
Very different but entertaining - IMO anything 9 inches or less should be a gimme - takes unlucky shots out of the equation on those surfaces I quite like the concept though - in season you could pick an apple to eat half way through your round - what could be better ?? 😊😊😊
I would like to see video on how you chipped ball into those cups impressive round I played in cow pasture up there once eat me up it at least had regular cups
I’ve been using Jim’s swing method for a couple of months with encouraging results. However, of late, I’m hitting about 60% pretty well and 40% shanks. Once I shank one, I’ll hit 4 or 5 more shanks before I can correct it. Hit a few more good ones and there it is again. Tried several things to correct whatever the error is with little success. Anyone else experience this or have an idea what’s happening? Need help.
@@agnsthwnd1941 copy that. The only correction is to improve your set up position and improve your stillness. The best way to do that is sign up for my school so I can guide you in the process. The good shots you’ve had are evidence that if you learn the system properly, you’ll likely hit those good shots.
@@MartialGolf copy that…it’s true, I don’t require as closed of a set up as my students because my arms swing on a very shallow swing path but for all draws, my target is behind my lead shoulder and my hips are max closed in the set up.
I thought he looked pretty closed throughout - which is something I was never quite able to work out looking at his teaching videos on the open desert range 😊😊😊
Follow up; how does stack and tilt different from the Jim venetos swing. I like that both play from a position lead foot pressure. My hypothesis is the Jim v. Takes one less movement out the turn (pivot) is preset?
I've been working on the JV swing lately, and when I keep my shoulders closed and weight on my left side, it's mind blowing how easy a good golf swing seems. I top it occasionally but I really like how it takes all the crazy hand and leg movements out of the equation. Seriously considering signing up for his school. Anyone else here in his school? If so, how has it worked for you?
Cool! Learned how to play hitting five irons in a cow pasture!
This was fantastic! Lot of work to film, but what a little gem you stumbled upon!
Nice to see unique content like this.

Lovely video. Setting, concept, your swing, narration, all were superb. The farmer did a great job too. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic coarse! reminds me of the upper peninsula of Michigan. Thanks Jimmy

Man, I love this type of golf! This is how I grew up playing golf, didn't play on a real course until I was around 21.
Thank you for such a great video. I commend you🙏🏽 walking to each hole first to set up your camera.

Damn! I was rooting for you! Great video Jim. And for anyone reading this comment, Jim is a hell of a teacher
@@TheRickurb thank you Rick! I hope all is well! 👊
If I lived there, I’d play that course daily. Great content brother
The real Field of Dreams. Where you actually can play. Great stuff Jim.

Good stuff, looks like a fun day. I used to do most of my prcatice in various empty fields, making up a course as I went.
Crab grass? What the heck. Great video, Jim.
Jim, that was sooo freaking cool! One of your best!
Reminds me of our little 2 acre field where my son and I learned to play. Great stuff.
Tee shot off of a driveway. Love it.
I also like the Mr. Rodger’s vibes. And I mean that as a compliment for sure.
Love watching you play Jim. Thanks.
reminds me of when I played golf in Anchorage.
Nice job Jim!
Jim, your dream course, Great adventure! Thank you.
Exactly! This is THE PERFECT course for someone that doesn’t like putting.
Exactly no😂❤ putting
That definitely would be a good course to work on those one-hop pitches, and chips..
Such a smooth swing
Great stuff.
How fun was that? Making up holes? Very cool!

I lived in Maine. All you need to know about Maine is that there is a golf course that has no greens. That will tell you everything you need to know
