I just wanted to thank you for helping me to lower my handicap by 10 strokes in the last 2 months,, I started using your suggestions and it has made a world of difference in my game..
I've been watching your entertaining videos for about 2-weeks now and I've never hit the ball better. As long as i swing easy and effortless the game is easy. Thanks.
Just had two of the best rounds of the year, at age 72, my swinging easy AND managing the hole. Work for bogey and guess what, I have some par putts. Thank you Jimmy its golden
This is gold. The guy you mentioned before that said you were repeating things - so what? It’s reassuring how simple it can be- I love that, and anyway each video is very different. It’s not just lessons - you are providing a whole entertainment package with your charm, stories, reflections and wit etc, and you actually play the holes as part of it unlike many others. Or is that maybe any others? Anyway - I am very grateful to you. I am happy to tell you and everyone else that everything you are teaching is absolutely spot on. Within a few weeks or so at the range with a small bucket every other day I am now hitting the ball as far as I have ever managed at any stage in the past (meaning my sweetest longest shot at any time in my many years playing) with every club. I can now do this mind bogglingly regularly with a high degree of accuracy and with very little effort. It’s crazy. Now I go to the range (it’s close by) get a £1 portion of balls - which is 15. Many others are slugging their way shot after shot through large buckets of balls topping, slicing hooking, clattering them off the walls…. you know the familiar CLUNK - DING! sound… like something from a Warner Brothers cartoon. I will have one club, today it was my 5 iron, a little practice reminder before each shot. Every one went into the sky and landed in a clump about 165 yards away. Beautiful….. in and out in a jiffy……. just so I can reassure myself that yes… it all still works as I have now become accustomed to. I don’t want to let it go. What more can I say apart from - Thank you very much for making these videos Jimmy. In my eyes you really are the best.
Thx! I'm so much better with your thoughts. I'm getting anxiety out of my swing.when I can't belive the yards I get. Thx for your help. I see my problems in your videos.
I’ve been working on this low effort “let the club do the work” feeling with swing drills at the range. I’m trying to feel a target 80-90 percent swing effort by hitting a couple at 25%, and then a couple at 50%, then 75%, then 100%. I tell myself 100% is redline, dangerous and too much. Then I hit 3 balls at my target swing feel, and for these I’m trying to empty my thoughts and just focus on hitting sweet spot without swinging hard. Related drills include single arm swings and heels touching swings. It’s working on course more often and surprise the ball is going farther and straighter with less effort.
Jimmy love your videos. Would love to hear your views on Ernest Jones and Manuel de la Torre and club focused instruction. Bob Brues interpretation is hilarious and well worth watching.
Hey Jimmy, Like the tips you are giving. I just want to ask, it seems like you have a single plane swing - easy (keeping it simple). Do you keep your right elbow close to your body, therefore using more body turn and making your swing shallow?
Enjoyed this video @TropicanaEntertainment the logic behind 'pausing for perfection' makes sense. Never stopped to think of letting gravity and the club do the work. I've always tried to force the clubhead across the ball. I haven't had a chance to get to the range to try this out yet but I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully this will help me to hit better shots and lower my extremely high handicap. Also liking the positivity in the video as my rounds tend to be full of frustration at my mistakes.
The golf club is engineered to square up through the swing, we humans do our best to manipulate it because we overcomplicate it all. Pausing at the top and letting the club drop naturally into the slot is a game changer and has been the biggest 'penny dropping' realisation for me.
Hey Jimmy. great vid. Question: do you have any drills for better contact on the ball? what kind of drills/practice did you do to get where you are at today with that smooth buttery swing?
Am gonna be 68 and Played Yesterday with my powerful son and His Friend whom is Superstrong with Death grip on His Clubs ! I swinging easy ,one under 71 My Son 92 His Friend 123 !
Man... I played today. Front 9 hit 1 GIR. 14 putts, 1 bird later shot a 40. Back 9, hit 3 GIR. 14 putts, 1 birdie with a zero putt shot another 40. I didn't deserve that 80 on a par 72 but I will take 28 putts all day. Golf is a crazy game
I was thinking the same thing, I feel blessed, living in Fond du Lac Wisconsin ( if you can call that a blessing haha) but we have some pretty nice courses around by us considering how much play they get
I remember clearly the feeling of everyone coming together immediately after the horrific attack on our country. People would let you out in traffic, stop so you could make a left turn, both people waving thank you 🙏🏼. Now? People cutting you off, road rage violence, flipping you off etc. etc…. What a sad statement about what it takes for us to get along and be united,no matter your political views. Very sad. God bless America 🇺🇸.
I am struggling…so you don’t cock your wrists in the back swing? And how do you know where to put the club in the back swing? When I take the club back I end up with weight on my lead foot in a kind of reverse pivot position and on the down swing my weight goes to my right or back foot and I fall back a little. Also swing over the top. I hit the ball fat a lot and also top it…

Just found you on UA-cam. Best info I ever received. Thank you
Jimmy is an absolute gem
Jimmy Can you show us your set up with hybrids and fairway woods. You play it back with those like your irons

Effortless golf swing starts with three beers and a stogie.

I try to keep everything close to my body. Good connection is key. Thank you for watching. -Jimmy

You got it howie. Thanks for watching
Thanks, this helped alot
Jimmy, great video thanks for sharing.
sweet swing Jimmy!
Hey Jimmy. great vid.
Question: do you have any drills for better contact on the ball? what kind of drills/practice did you do to get where you are at today with that smooth buttery swing?
The best way to figure out how to swing a club is to grip it so light you're barely holding it. Your body will do the rest
I use a swing thought "up down" a few times & it clears my head of bad swing thoughts & helps with tempo 5:08
Thank you!
You make it look so easy
What handicap do you play to ??
Lol r&g x
I was on board the USS Boxer a 19 year old Marine. That day changed my entire life.
I think we need to change your name this month to Jimmy Drop-a-camera !!! Lol
Hahahahahhaa. This was amazing! Jimmy Dropacamera
@@TropicanaEntertainment😂
can you please explain your putter grip? I struggle with my putter the most, so I'm looking for any help/tips to fix my issues.
Can you demonstrate this swing with a fairway wood, please?
Thanks

Looks better than most of my local munis

9/11 never forget and thanks for the vid, don't be Nasssty
Dassssssit!
Ive slowed and relaxed, trying to stop left hook, club face closing, how to fix?
Move the ball back in your stance. Club face is closing too much
@@TropicanaEntertainment definitely will do, just watched ball stance video from you 😀
Ball back in your stance and make sure your hands are in front of the ball. Impossible to hit it left.

Jimmy.. what tripod and camera do you use?
I would guess a cheap, unstable one. It needs better golf shoes 👟
Jimmy, would it be possible for you to film more of your shots from in front of you instead of down the line from behind you??
Thank you
Right ➡️
I can attest that this only works if your grip is super light
no super light. not firm but not super light.
I love the way you describe feel, it a feel, this has helped my game so much, thanks for the down to earth way of instruction 👍
7:15 Again!! PLOP!!! 😃
I know what happened to your camera! Gravity. Your camera was listening to you 🙂
Long par 5's you have to have some kind of force. You actually think a person can actually hit the ball by looking away like that on your downswing?
Nice shots, your fairways are awful though
Looks like you’ve lost weight.
Im trying. Its a tough job! Lol. Thanks for watching
Everyone bitching about the course conditions... first world problems
I appreciate you, but it’s becoming to depressing to continue to look at that golf course. You can do better!
