I’ve never sat down and listened to the Ristar OST. Before I change that, I’ll say this: listening to a deconstruction before the final recording changes your perception of the track entirely.

The way the music is handled in Ristar, especially the drums and bass, almost makes it feel like an honorary Sonic game. I know it's included in Sonic Mega Collection, so there's probably a bit of bias there.

Yep, the whole song itself is reminiscent of a Marching Band. Especially with the horns in Channel 4. And it all goes well with the name of the track too being called “Crazy King’s”.

While a deconstruction of those would be cool, I'm afraid those are impossible. The Present, Good Future, and Bad Future soundtracks are completely CD audio, so there's no channels to deconstruct it with. The only ones you can see deconstructed are the Past tracks, because they use the Ricoh RF5C164, which is an 8 channel (I believe PCM) sample chip.
There _is_ a project in the works that aims to recreate Sonic CD tracks using their original samples, and display them in oscilloscope, so a Palmtree Panic Bad Future oscilloscope deconstruction isn't too far off now

I have the full DAC sample pack. I can now hear what Ristar says clearly. The drum samples are pretty crispy too.
