- Rochester, Kent has such a special place in my heart ✨
We've been living near this gorgeous place for the last two years and it's been absolutely wonderful. It's such an underrated town in England - it's so beautiful and so much to do!
Here are some of my recommendations ✨

✨ Baggins Book Bazaar (largest second hand bookshop in England)

✨ Shop in small, local businesses on the high street (like Kiss Kiss Heart, the Candy Bar, Get Ready Comics, Carters, lots of charity shops!)

This isnt a little town. Rochester was in fact a City. That’s why it’s called the “City of Rochester”. However in 1998 it lost its city status due to a clerical oversight. It’s failed to get its city status a number of times since. One of the completely bonkers things about England where a city can lose its status simply through a clerical error. Imagine this happening to the city of London. There would be outrage and immediate reinstatement. But not for this wonderful Kentish City. It will always be City of Rochester to me
I agree! Rochester is a city, for me there’s plenty of places in Kent that could be cities, the Thanet conurbation (Margate/Broadstairs/Ramsgate) has city vibes as well as Tunbridge Wells

The little town has so many cute shops, so pretty! I Love how they're all such different colors and personalities too! Omg the floral shop/garden is stunning ahh!! Omg the bakery looks so good, the tea shop looks so fancy too! I want to visit now ahh!!
