    Thanks a bunch Joe, my wife's ML320 idiot lights has been on (she kept reminding me) and instead of sending it to the dealer I jumped online and found out it was from brake wear. I just googled it and your video was the first to come pop up on google for youtube and yes it is a simple job that even I can do it. You are right there is a stigma about working on these and keeps me from working on it. Gonna tackle it though, thanks for your video DIY!

    Thank you. Don't know when you made this. But it's valid in 2022. With gas in this country being so high. All but the rich, are bicycling, walking, or staying home. Who can afford a mechanic, and things still break. Thank you for your efforts. It was a life saver. I liked, and subscribed. Have a nice day.

    Thanks for your time to do the videos. I am getting ready to do mine and find your video helpful. Please clarify one thing. In this video you say to use a TX-40 for the caliper bolts but in the continuation video you say to use a TX-30. Which one is correct?

    Just got a 1998 mercedez ml320 and was told that you can only change both rotors and pads when needed, really? That sounds odd. What do you think

    • @joesnowmobiles
      @joesnowmobiles  9 місяців тому

      Best to replace the pads and rotors at the same time. Not required but you’ll probably get the performance this way out of your brakes. Hope that helps!

    When you push the cylinder in, make sure you do it either very slowly or loosen the reservoir cap or you could blow a seal in the master cylinder.

      @@joesnowmobiles in currently doing the abs motor repair and rebuilding the calipers for which this video showed me how to remove the calipers. only thing that I'm unsure of is how to clamp the break line so it don't drip. the brake line is so think and tough. you should do a caliper rebuild video.

    • @joesnowmobiles
      @joesnowmobiles  6 років тому +1

      dgn107 well I don’t recommend clamping the line that can damage it. Just disconnect from caliper and stick a rag in the hose hole and lift the hose as high as you can that should slow down the drip until you can install the new caliper. I never rebuild the calipers it’s just easier to replace them and the time vs cost is minimal. Hope that helps!

    OMG man I need to change my rotors and break pads for my 1999 ml320! That would be awesome! And I just ordered my lateral accelertion piece off of ebay and I'm going to change it becase the BAS ESP light comes on and off and I think the sensor might be the problem, and the car is running slower than usual. So hopefully that might be the fix

  • @slpip
    @slpip 6 років тому

    Save a little money won't save a life. I don't mind the car can't run but I do mind the car couldn't stop. Rotors and pads are cheap since you work on your car, you already save labor cost. I paid $170 for a set of 4 anti-rusts coated with cooling holes and slots rotors, 2 sensors, and 4 sets of ceramic brake pads for my Mercedes ML320. Use ceramic brake pads for a sure stop and cooler braking.
