Rod, this is the best interview I've seen in a very long time. John did a tremendous job explaining the apostolic movement, and I think his recognition of a great need for a systematic theology among Charismatics was excellent. I also deeply appreciate his expanded, three-fold definition of apostleship and the authority they exercise. But for me the pièce de résistance was what he said to your insightful comments on decentralization; leadership is not by rank or command, but by influence! Also, I love his understanding of dominion. Very clear, and a great clarification for those willing to listen. Thanks brother, you have really "upped your game" in the last few months.

I like Rod and his channel and while I've never personally met Rod, I do believe he is a genuine brother in Christ. That being said, I don't know if it is upping his game to give us a promotional video on open theism 3 months ago and "soft cessationism" in this video above (both through guest speakers). I suppose the next logical question might be, at one point should the views of a guest speaker be attributed to the UA-camr hosting them? and... should the interviewer give their views in the same video (somewhat) if they differ substantially while they are interviewing?

Fantastic, I haven't given a lot of thought to these subjects but this discussion has definitely expanded my knowledge. Thank you!

It looks like to me that He has listened to William Branham ‘s sermons . Amen 🙏.

I can assure you John Kelly doesn't condone the errant teachings of William Branham.

That was a good interview. John is balanced in his ministry and biblical views from what he said in answer to those questions you asked him in your interview, it would be great if the whole of the Christian movement he represents were as well. In any case each one of us will stand before the ultimate judge to settle that issue. I am very happy that John is settled where he is at.

This is the first time I hear about this ICAL organization so thank you for bringing them up in a video.
I don't agree with John Kelly's differentiation between big A apostles of the first 2-4 hundred years and the little A apostles of today. This is not found nor implied in the scriptures and gives fodder for cessationists. I know of big A apostles and big P prophets of today that are essentially Spiritually gifted Christians with limited work to do likely due to the fallen nature of the church today --- mainly due to christians segregating themselves on various, often debatable doctrines and due to the high degree of "social gospel" of many formal gatherings. It is important to understand that the work of the Holy Spirit is not always clearly evident in public forums such as news channels and social media avenues. What is Spiritually happening in places like in "third world countries" is unlikely to hit UA-cam or CNN.

Big A apostles is a reference to the 12 and Paul. I suppose that you could throw James the Just (Jesus' brother) into that category since the Bible calls him an apostle and he wrote Scripture, and maybe even Jude, but there are others in the NT who weren't part of that category who were referred to as apostles, like Barnabas and Timothy. And Ephesians 4:11 says that Jesus placed apostles into the body of Christ until we all come into the unity of the faith and spiritual maturity. So all of the apostles outside of the foundational apostles are what continuationists refer to as Little A apostles. As for the first 200-400 years, that seems to be his opinion which I suppose is as good as anyone else's as to when the church became established in the ancient world.

@@JewandGreek Thank you Rod. It is hard to make the conclusion that any denomination today, by the very definition of denomination to begin with, would be anywhere close to unity of faith and spiritual unity and furthermore, there are many places in the world where the basic gospel is still needed. You seem to be a genuine Christian and just the fact that you subscribe whole heartedly to the WOF movement and are a member of a denomination that promotes it means that there is far from unity within the body of Christ. This is not a condemnation of you personally or this channel.

I don't agree with the big A little A apostle. An apostle is an apostle and yes it does give cessationist fodder...we don't need to add to the arsenal

I'm curious why ICAL, in their statement of faith, supports "one holy catholic and apostolic church" and "I believe in ....;the holy catholic church". To be fair, nothing in their doctrinal statement supports praying to Mary or use of rosaries, etc.
That all being said, if the true gospel is being preached throughout the world through ICAL, some good can come out of what they do.
