Idk man. I always think people say things are low or medium coverage because nothing can hide a shadow. If an undereye is sunken in, there's going to be that step off no matter what and it's gonna cause that shadow. Same with bags.

I would love to see an updated video showing your picks of best foundations & concealers for dry skin! 🤗 I absolutely love watching your reviews for those products because even though I'm 32 and not over 40 I have extremely dry skin with eczema and mild rosacea and I NEED a beauty UA-camr that doesn't have oily/combo skin, which is much harder to find than you'd think! almost everyone I find doesn't have my skin type, so your channel is definitely helping me out! 🤍

Love the Ziva interlude. 😻 She's vying for her own channel, I think. Lol! As for the concealer, I think it looks nice and brightening under your eyes but I just can't get past the sponge tip applicator. I used Milani's first concealer with a similar tip. Not a fan. 😕

I have not tried this but a grade A makes me want to pick this up.
Have you tried the Mac concealer the 24 hour one it’s so good provides about medium to full coverage and doesn’t crease. I’m not sure if it’s new but I had never heard of it before. I also love the nyx one cause it doesn’t settle in lines and is hydrating.

I’m not as nuanced/savvy in comparing dupes, but this checks all the boxes for me despite the plastic applicator, it feels the same as the Laneige. My 90s grunge/DMV vibe salutes you. Now he is a bit overweight (I’m working on that with diet and exercise) and the thought of him trying to jump on my back with his very sharp nails is terrifying. 😬

I always pull the sponge covering off of the tip before I even use it. It saves product and it’s more hygienic :)

I found a concealer I’d really like to see you test. It’s a new brand from Sephora and it’s the Rose Inc softlight clean hydrating dewy concealer. It looks really good for dry skin this time of year and it seems to have decent coverage too.

If you like eye creams that reduce puffage, have you tried 100% Pure's Organic Coffee Bean Eye Cream? Eyelid puffage and undereye baggage disappear practically immediately, and circles under the eye really do reduce over time. I won't do without it!

Is it just me who thinks this seems soooo much like Revlon's version of the Maybelline Age Rewind concealer? I would be curious to know how they hold up against each other. Do they perform similarly? Cuz if this is better, I may pick this up.
I actually prefer the Instant Age Rewind concealer as a foundation of sorts.. because it's very smoothing and creamy, it's easy to toss in a small makeup bag and use to spot conceal for a natural look and just blend in to my face and use a bit of powder to set.
I have a huge makeup collection and desk with all my stuff in my "office", but I don't go in there and get ready daily (I'm a mom of 3, including a 1 year old and 2 year old, so having that setup is mostly to keep my little ones out of my stuff since they still sleep in my husband and I's bedroom. So I keep a small bag with things like the Maybelline concealer that I can grab to just perk up my face before running errands if I feel like I want something (most days I'm bare faced, not gonna lie haha) and it's also great if I ever have something come up last minute... an overnight stay or something.. I can just grab that small bag rather than have to pack my usual suitcase of makeup (because a girl needs options... along with her lighted mirror haha.)
It's kind of necessary for me to have a stripped down version of my collection for when I'm in a hurry cuz otherwise I will take ages and keep playing if I have options. I can't plan my makeup, I go with my mood and what I'm feeling that day. I'm a notorious overpacker because I like to be prepared to go full glam if I want to, even though I typically do a simple neutral smokey eye and natural, glowy skin, with a lip balm. But it's about having options to suit my mood and different settings that may arise. And also about enjoying the experience of putting on makeup, esp when I'm traveling. I try to make enough time to get my little ones ready, oversee that my 9 year old hasn't put on something too ridiculous or inappropriate with her clothes and makeup (just like her momma, she loves to play dress up and experiment. Which is fine at home, I would just prefer she not go to a funeral or a nice restaurant in a crop top and see-through leggings with messy red lipstick and pink eyeshadow and glitter all over her face 😆) and then I can get my husband to take the kids and just give me that time to spend with myself and get back to what I love... music and makeup.
So when I don't have time for all that, I have to force myself to stick to this prepacked little Harley Quinn makeup bag I have with tried and true products that are compact and don't require a lot of fuss. It was hard enough to get it down to that haha. I still want to add things to it for options and have to stop myself and remember the point of having that bag haha.
Hi Shelly! My youngest is getting married in March. Wondering if you have any suggestions for what color makeup to wear with my navy blue dress? I have super fair cool toned skin and hooded eyes. Also any technique suggestions for mature dry skin to stay camera-ready all day & night would be greatly appreciated! Currently, I'm leaning towards using my l'oreal true match tinted serum as a foundation. I haven't figured out the whole contour thing without it looking muddy so I will probably just skip that step, lol. Not sure what colors to do with eyes and lips though. Any ideas for "mother of the groom" looks.....or a video on what you would do for your own formal look using products that last all day plus won't cause flashback in photos?
I'd probably go with a bronze-ish eye. Blue is opposite orange on the color wheel so they're complementary tones, and since the navy blue is on the darker side of blue I'd go with the darker side of orange toward bronze. For all-day makeup I either go light coverage and spot-conceal later in the day if necessary, or I go full face with one of the big guns like Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place (that's my go-to for all day events). I also lean on setting spray for all day things.
Do you like this or the L'Oréal one you mentioned more?
They're very close (I don't think you can go wrong either way) but I might lean the tiniest bit toward the LOreal.

Did you set your concealer?
Hi Pamekay! I generally only set it in emergencies when something goes haywire and I'm trying to salvage it, so in this case no! I rarely use powder to set foundation or concealer anymore unless it's a wedding or some all-day thing I'm doing my face for.

I did not :) It has probably been 3 years now since I've set concealer with powder; I try to avoid it if at all possible.
