its one rank below the uber uniques as far as drop rate. Its in the same treasure class as the Tempest Roar helm, meaning you may be level 100 before you ever see it
Got my Necro to 89 on the Eternal realm and I never got the ring (I got 3 Tempest Roars on my druid though, well before 89... go figure).
Foreeallll. I’ve now leveled necro to 100 in the eternal real pre season, and now level 67 in S1 and haven’t seen ONE DROP of RoM….
There's no way that's true, I think I dropped 3 or 4 by level 82 in Eternal.@@Logan-gl5mx
FWIW though, I suspect that you get a higher drop chance of uniques you already have (possibly to encourage upgrading that item?).

Nice. A minions build that looks very useful and fun. I'm currently running a bone build most cause I had the unique helm to drop..... but I've been wanting to change it up to a good minions build. Looking forward to trying this one out as soon as I can get all the gear and aspects to drop.
There are a couple aspects you need to drop to run this build but you don't need the unique ring he mentioned.
Was level 45 today, swapped to your build and went T3 at 46.

ok, can you explain to me how you did this? I am struggling so hard with the necro in the dungeon which unlocks T3. I am 47 now and I am dying against the first elite mob without any chances. My gear is kinda up2date (everything 47) but I simply can't even beat the first elite monster (he kills all of my minions within 1 second), it's kinda annoying as I feel that I am stuck for a while here. I followed this build but the mob still kills me so fast and I do nothing to it (well, with hp pot spamming and luck I get him to 50% hp). No idea why but with necro the struggle is real xD
Goblin Inc. is underrated dude. I am unsure how you guys only have 13.4k subs. Will continue hitting like on every video before even watching it. I spent an entire day farming decent gear for this build, missing BLIGHTED but will get this done today. Thanks for the clear video bro

Missing a unique item? Lol. I'm running 1.0 with gloves that luckily had 10% lucky hit chance due to luck, and the 100% up time on bone storm is the magic of this build. You don't even need the ring.

I have tried many different builds and this one is by far my favourite. It's fun to play, tanky as hell, and I can burst massive hoards of enemies with ease. Great job bro!

Hello, I`m changing my endgame bone necro to this build and here is what I found. If you look closer you will find that aspect of shielding storm is not working properly with barber heart (no damage-no shield contribute). Also, I`d say 30%x Crit Damage much better than Golem itself. Sacrifice it and you can take a Bone Prison which proc Lucky Hit Chance like 100% similar to Corpse Tendrils. IMHO, there is a fundamental mistake about buffs/passives/paragon/etc. for minions. Ring of Mendeln damage scales of your damage not your pets. Taking Hellbent Commander & Golem Mastery passives is a mistake. Besides tons of lucky hit, you need more %x damage, crit, crit dmg, vuln, main stat (physical damage will work as well) to ramp the mendeln and those shadow oriented passives will do the job (including blighted CE). Ring can do millions of damage itself if you stack %x and bolster your own stats. Eventually, applying Barber to this strategy you will see 8 or even 9-digit numbers. One dude one-shots Lilith with almost 300m crit, that's why i`m interested in this build so far.

Thank you so much for the build. One change I recommend is to take the points out of blood mist and put three into blighted corpse explosion. Perhaps my gear was lacking a few % lucky hit but I consistently had moments where nothing is proc'ing. Losing the free corpse from reap doesn't really matter cause you can open with blood mist/bone storm. I also had an abundance of corpses not being used. Overall, I saw a huge increase in dps and less periods of nothing happening.
That should help proc Shadowblight more often too, I'd think.

so youre taking blood mist off entirely ? or where are you fitting the blighted explosion onto the board ?
@@henryschaefer6742 Goblin has 3 points into Blood Mist. Gary is saying take two out of BM, and put those into CE instead (one for the +15% radius and then one to turn CE into a Darkness DoT).
Edit: Oops... yeah, I guess what he's suggesting would require 7 skill slots. The only way he could do what Gary is suggesting is to take Reap off the toolbar, I suppose.

I played around with taking all the points out of bloodmist and put them into corpse explosion and it felt good as well. If your not worried about your survivability then you can go this route to boost your dps

In absence of the ring I have the 1 enemy decrep and switch out blood mist for an offensive playstyle with iron maiden dual curse (with aspect) This set up gives up to 50% (47% on my roll) damage. It's not too shabby. EDIT: my mages are the shadow ones till I get the ring.

If you have the Howl Below Gloves Shadowmist Bomber is Good too, i have that Decri aura on 0 always active

I use tenticals and corpse explosion that turns into pools of bile. Also thinking of working sever in that also makes a pool for like 9k. Thanks for the ideas.

since the bone prison lucky hit proc is not fixed, i feel its a no brainer to go with for any ring of mendeln build
Would prolly try and get 1,000 .. 1,200 MaxLife rolled on the other ring.
Should give you a little more buffer for incoming spike damage.
I believe they also plan to change MaxBarrier based on MaxLife in 1.1.1 (i.e. on Temerity)

Mendeln build. 3necros to 90+ and I have never seen it.
I had a level 60 necro who died in hardcore so lost him. But with season 1 I started another. I’m at 57 now, still haven’t seen the ring. But I’ve only been to tier 3. Maybe it falls in tier 4?
@golbin inc. do you think it would be nice to remove aspect of might and use graspein vein instead ? as you said we've already so much tankiness with fortify and barrier do we really need 3 defensive aspect ? damage increase would be great.

I did the capstone early too which was very good early game. Early-midgame kinda fell off though, I'm too slow to clear tier 20+ NMD @ Lv70. I don't have Barber or Mendeln yet maybe it would get better damage wise after that.
Yeah in that spot you need Cold Bringers and a 2h weapon to get through it

I got a heart that casts Decrepify when 2 Enemies are near, for 19 secs. I basically cant replace that ring at all now lol

So, I have a suggestion of sorts. Drop aspect of might and got for aspect of explosive mist. Then unallocate 3 points into Bloody mist and go for the blighted corpse explosions. It adds more aoe procs of darkness for even more fun and helps reset blood mist even more. Thoughts?
You can do that, but then you'll lose the 15% damage reduction from Reap, the free corpse from Reap, the attack speed bonus from Reap (not too sure how important that one is), and the 20% damage reduction from Might.
Losing the 15% DR from Reap AND Might would be a pretty big loss in defense. It would be awesome to be able to squeeze Corpse Explosion in there though.
Lots of cooldown reduction also relieves your reliance on lucky hit.
NGL tryed other builds but I enjoy this one much more this need to get the gear know
Why not spec into Blighted Corpse Explosion to further proc Mendeln and ramp up Shadowblight? This would also get auto cast by the Heart.

They need a slot dedicated to ultimate... the amount of skills we can have is silly... we need at least 2 more skill slots
Funny that i came up with a similar build without knowing yours 😂 but CE instead of bloodmist and a 2h syche since i dont have mendel. Running t35 nm at 70 easily. I actually will sacrifice the sacrifice heart when i got a better ring for the additional damagereduction since i hate that all the corps get used and none are left for the priest. With the cdr from the curse you can spam tentrils anyway. Its more click heavy though. So probably no sac heart for harder and with for easier speedfarming

dude I've been waiting for a strong minion build, I've been running exploding corpse and bone spear. And it's been pretty good but I like having the minions
Fun build, its the only class that i not play yet cause i don't like bone spear but minion is fun.
Bone spear is one build. You can play every core skill with or without minions. Best on Necro: almost every skill is usefull. I played my 3rd Necro and I´am not ready with this class.
you made me want to start a necro in season! and I saw that you had to drop a unique ring... and do the whole season praying for it ... sade :(
What should the optimum stats be for the wand? I'm too used to running a 2H sword 😂 preferred aspect for this would be very much appreciated too!
Between the video and updates, is the ramping minions the best guide to use for this? No golem, etc like the vid mentions. Also what is needed on the 6 skills because there is no golem and you dont need decrepify.

The Decrepit Aura heart is actually possible to get with a 0 enemies near you requirement, giving it 100% uptime

Hold on with 1 or the tooltip actually says zero. Can't wait till I find a negative 1 enemies and create a insane self curse build.... :)

I've heard the 0 one kinda bugs out sometimes. Seems 1 is fine (when would you need it without any enemies around?).
put blood mist out and take iron maiden, take the aspect for buff curses and gain 50%x multiplier. this build is just a tank build with all that bone skills, might aswell play bone spear. i tried without iron maiden and sever as solo burst but at high nm´s you just cant walk near packs of elites (fire), so just press CE and take the shadow dot gem.
Aspect of shielding storm does not work as long as Barbar is active (as during the Barber time you dont do damage with the bone storm). Barber therefore is really bad for your survivability.
why is the paragon from today different than your video? you have deadraiser in the video but not on the build guide. What is best? Great content!

I currently lvl 67, I´ve been running a build I call "Cold Shadows", here´s the rundown:
*Minions: Cold Skeletal Mages with Coldbringer Aspect, Reapers (to drop a bunch of corpses all the time).
*Skills: Blight, Iron Maiden, Blighted Corpse Explosion, Plagued Corpse Tendrils
*Gear uniques: Weapon > Bloodless Scream Scythe (to pump up Cold Skeletal Mages with frozen and chill damage), Gloves > Howl From Below (Volatile Skeletons help spread Blighted Corpse Explosion to freeze/chill everything in sight). Haven´t had the chance to drop Ring of Mendeln yet.
*Aspects: Viscous, Coldbringer, Grasping Veins, Reanimation, Blighted, Disobedience, Explosive Mist.
*Hearts: Vicious > Sacrilegious, Brutal > The Decrepit Aura and Wrathful > The Great Feast.
*Gear stats to aim for Cold Damage, % Minion Life, % Minion Attack Speed, Summoning Skill Damage, Critical Strike damage, CC.
*Paragon Legendary: Cult Leader, Wither. ( i havent reached fourth board yet).
Well I may have missed something, but with this build, no enemy can even get near me because they all get frozen and my minions just melt them. Helltide and Dungeons are a breeze to run solo or with friends, you can kill The Butcher very fast also. Your Minions are very tanky with this build with decent DPS. You won´t even feel the need for using Ultimates.

I'm doing something similar but I have Army of the Dead ultimate. Tendrils keep the bosses vulnerable while I decompose and blight them. When I use the ultimate, boss gets surrounded and dies in one second 😂
Shadow blight aspect that grants damage incres after 10 hits with shadow blight does not work the way you think. Only one shadow blight per skill cast counts. You will not get the damage bonus in just 2 seconds. Having multiple types of shadow damage that can hit simultaneously is the only thing that will speed up the process.
I’ll give this a shot when I get that ring drop.
I have the Ring of Mendel and thinking to switch build a little, i’m running shadowmist bomber, and i have that malignant of decrify aura on 0.
I used everything in this build, the only difference being im running lidless wall instead of a focus so i sacrificed 2 mages instead, and at level 96 using your paragon, cannot output anything close to 300m damage and also get one shot by almost every single thing lilith does even if im standing in between the waves of death still die
Ring of mendeln drops exclusively on WT4. If you did your capstone at 52, you'd need a different necro already on WT4, and then drop the ring with a low enough lvl requirement to wear it during the capstone. That's basically impossible as ring of mendeln is one of the rarest uniques to drop outside of super-uniques like shako and grandfather.
what does this mean? i completed wt4 on my alt at lvl 16 how do i get the ring and drop it in WT4 capstone?

The ring drops on t3, still rare but drops. People have posted in reddit of them getting it.

Well, you can be tanky but I don't use blood boil or bonestorm to create lucky hits. İnstead, I crowd control the mobs with curse, letting my minions attack, spamming buffs, corpses and tendrils (with extra vulnerable damage) and then boom, i do 9m to world bosses, doing 6-7 figure number damages to trash mobs, elites and more. Just in 2 seconds. Besides, I have augmented this build tgat decreasea my non-crit damage but increases my crit damage and the numbers are going way much insane.
Besides, the multipliers like damage to crowd control, slow, stun, vulnerable are needed for these mobs to be erased. Also, when applying a curse to an area, it is a kill command for your minions as well. You don't have to be that much melee to do the damage.
I run a bone spear damage version of this . A hybrid build of bone-storm cycle, bone spear and minions. Damage reduction is irrelevant when everything immediately melts in-front of you.

Game doesn’t let me export build. I started to type build but could see that I’d be writing an essay. Basically, that bone storm shield makes you completely immortal so no need for much damage reduction. Can go all out damage.

Mendeln DOES NOT work off of minion damage. it's you giving your minions up to a 10% chance to hit with all of YOUR stats.
"Lucky hit up to 10%" means that if you have a 50% chance to lucky hit, when that lucky hit happens, you have a 10% chance to activate Mendeln.
Bone Prison is bugged, it guarantees 100% lucky hit *effects*.
You want to stack YOUR damage and avoid all MINION damage, because all MINION DAMAGE is bugged, say Cult Leader, the only stats that transfer correctly seem to be health/armor, but the DAMAGE nodes do not work, OR apply 30% of the advertised effect.
What you want to do is focus on CRIT damage, Damage to Affected by Shadow Over Time, CC Damage, and Vulnerable damage. Those are the only stats you want to stack on your gear if you want big crits with Mendeln.
how about minions atack speed? coz ring proc from minions hits.
@@andrii9915 the ring does not proc from minion hits. It is based on the character hits. Thorns can proc Mendeln, so your minions getting hit can proc Mendeln if they have thorns.
Long story short-- Avoid all damage for minons if you're using Mendeln, avoid attack speed for minions too. All you want is tanky minions, so Minion Life and Armor are the only 2 stats you want to focus on for Minions, everything else, focus on your damage.
The new bonestorm unique is nice for this as well

Well I finally got a Mendeln.... in fact I got 2 on the same day LOL. One thing I'm confused by, you say the damage of the Mendeln procs are based on the minions damage modifiers. But I've heard a number of other creators say that it is based solely off of your damage and that the minions are only the delivery agent for the damage.
I dont' have the ring yet but I'm pushing 37 sigil dungeons at level 71. Haven't seen how far I can get yet but the barber certainly helps.
Completed a 40 at 72, too hard. But it was fun
My understanding is that barber is currently bugged and does NOT work with the ring of Mendeln. And i have been noticing that i do not hear the proc noise at all from the ring since i added barber to my build.
From playing the build it does seem that Barber is so strong that i am still doing very well but i think i am essentially turning the ring off in favor of it? i think i will do some testing with grasping veins instead of Mendeln and see how it compares.
There is also a weird interaction that happens during the time tha barber is absorbing damage where shielding storm wont shield you because you aren't actively doing damage at that time. leaves weird gaps in defense.
This video is where i saw mention of it first and did further research to confirm that specifically the ring is affected.

Running bone spear while levelling and GOOD LORD it feels clunky and slow. As soon as I find that ring I will insta-switch to this. Great suggestion
So, basically this build is focused on having those hearts. So, without the hearts, how much damage are you really doing ? And could you last without the hearts?
What are the actual aspects needed? Seems to be sort of all over the place unless I heard wrong and saw on the mobalytics guide you posted.
My Necro has six skellies, and five mages, and a golem. Party for 13! I am level 55, and on cruise control. I help peeps get through their capstone, just for fun.

2:20 what? The skeleton skill isn´t marked as a corpse skill ( at least in the german version ) and yet the heart triggers it?
