    In this video we strip a 1932 Ford body, and show you the easiest way to clean up afterwards. We'll also talk about blasting angle and distance, and show you how to rinse off all the chlorides with the Rust inhibitor to prevent rust, and how we like to do the drying.
    A restorer paid us $900 to do this job. He said normally he would do it himself, but since it had an abnormal amount of AllMetal body filler on it (very tough stuff) he decided to pay someone else to get it done. It was a tough job, but still was done in under 2 hours of blasting. Soda blasting would probably have never removed that AllMetal. We used the DB150 and medium grit recycled bottle glass.

    Old fd salvage and overhaul trick.
    fold the end your rolling to back anout 8' so the end is captured within the roll.
    Also take both long edges to the centerof your workpiece so contents can not spill out of the open edge fold end 8' to center start roll at the bent end & same for other end.
    Contents captured.

    What type of media is it can I use coffee grounds to blast a car

      We don't think coffee grounds would work very well, but here is a quick video that goes over the abrasive you CAN use! Anything that is clean, consistent, and sinks in water is a good choice :) ua-cam.com/video/hFP-z_w6yXY/v-deo.html

      Yes, you rinse with the rust inhibitor. It's mixed in a 1:100 ratio with water and will prevent flash rust for up to 72 hours.

    doesn't warm panels with heat...But it does with the high pressure ;-) .

    • @DustlessBlasting-MMLJ
      @DustlessBlasting-MMLJ  5 років тому

      Hi there! Yes, just like any other tool, damage can occur with the Dustless Blaster if it is used improperly. Warping wouldn't occur due to heat, but the operator getting too close or using pressure that is too high. For large flat pieces of metal like auto trunks or hoods, we recommend using about 70 PSI at a 20º angle to avoid bending metal. Here is a video that goes over nozzle control and how you can use standoff distance to avoid damage: ua-cam.com/video/ijtRDiO2Qr8/v-deo.html
