Id rather wait another year for a perfect dlc than a rushed, buggy one, March is pretty impressive for a release date in my opinion anyway. No one is learning from the absolute shit show that came from cyberpunk. Just be patient, they're obviously pushing it back for the good of the dlc quality

I'm looking forward to the game, no doubt. Just kind of afraid this is going to collapse under the weight of its own hype since I think it's literally been in development longer than Rebirth itself was, not to mention it's been delayed 18 months and counting...
It'll be worth it as long as it comes out in good shape.
I swear if we're getting another Afterbirth+ release, I'll just sigh deeply.

@@meatlejuice I sincerely hope it lives up to that. I've just seen too many games get killed under the weight of their own hype after being in development far longer than expected. I've put hundreds of hours into The Binding of Isaac and Rebirth plus the DLCs. I will jump for joy if it lives up to the hype, I'm just afraid it'll turn into something like a Legend of Bum-Bo situation.

A fan favorite item from antibirth
Is repentance literally Antibirth?
yes and no.
Antibirth is a community-mod that was developed while Edmund McMillen was still working on the Afterbirth+ Dlc.
This meant that you could not simply download Antibirth in the community workshop (since mod support didn’t exist yet). Edmund decided that it would be a cool idea to add it as Dlc instead and turn it into official content.
While most items, enemys, bosses and charakters from the mod will be added, Edmund has repeatedly stated that there is a lot of new content coming aswell.
Like entire new alternative floors (Ashpit and Dross) with own bosses and enemys. And a new gamemode we do not know yet. Old floors will also receive new content.
Additionally we‘ve seen a lot of graphical improvements, new sprites for existing enemys, improved floor backgrounds and new sounds.
Binding of Isaac Repentance is not just a Dlc, but also an overhaul for the entire game.

It's a 15 dollar DLC, you meed Rebirth, AB, AND AB+ to play it, it will have physical releases and digital updates to Switch, PS4, PS5, and Xbox later this year, probably in September
And yes, it's worth the 60 dollars. Base Rebirth can easily give over 300 hours, so this is easily gonna quintuple that.

@@IR0Navt Thats a shitty mentality to have. Delaying a game once or twice is fine but a lot of delays like in this case just show incompetence from the developers. In no other industry is shit like that tolerated. You promise a product you deliver it on time. And yet somehow game developers gaslighted gamers into thinking more delays = better.

Rushed product to get to market when the marketing department or sales department said it would be out to consumers, product ends up having issues or being shit. Humans are just crap at estimating the scope for time/energy something will require (and in tech/gaming feature creep is also a problem because the initial project ends up expanding and the initial estimates become off).
For example, large construction and/or repair projects are almost never finished on budget or on time (but personally I'd rather a building or bridge be built well rather than fast).
Delays don't mean better but it increases the odds of something more competent/less broken coming out, even though the delay itself is caused by some level of incompetence.
Authors delay books, Hollywood delays movies, tech companies delay releasing a product to market, hell even legal disputes get delayed.
